There is a shut down option. Go to settings, and its in there. Total shutdown

By holding on x logo of the controller i was able to shutdown either the controller alone or the console without going into the settings menu.

That’s all well and good, but why shouldn’t I be able to do that from the controller? On the PlayStation five you can hit the PS button and it gives you the option to put it in standby mode. Freaking Aye, this is an American made product. Why does it seem like I’m trying to figure out Chinese??

That's NOT how you turn off or shut down your system. What you are doing is Force shutting down wich can break your Console. The right is , Go to General then scroll down to Power mode & startup then scroll down to Full shutdown , then you will see a screen saying, Completely shut down your Xbox Console? And press bottom to SHUT DOWN. Hope this can help others .

@@prototypeop This is only for emergency, while play with a controller and your controller goes bad . Rewatch your video you are turning on and off the Xobox Series S. Why would you do that without a controller? Advice people to wait and get a controller before turning on and forcefully off the Console . You should explain your video better. You may try to help but you doing more harm to the console. Not trying to be mean just helpful.
