I get it, but in all honest truth I don't want xdefiant or cod to be trash because competition in the "cod market" space is a good thing, competition between companies breeds excellence and interesting ideas. I think slandering games for no reason or hating on people for liking a game serves 0 purpose because it's anti consumer to do so, this is why console wars suck, only billion dollar companies profit, and the players don't see any improvement, same shit with games. We should want both to be good so they can innovate and make good game design decisions and friendlier consumer practices. I don't understand die hard fans of either games, if the game is shit then the game is shit right?
@Ikareruu that's why I made this video, I just saw too many xdefiant fanboys claiming the game is good and cod sucks when to me...the game is literally cod just reskinned. It obviously was made for microtransactions and the gameplay was an afterthought. But they can't see it through the cope so I had to rant about it lol.
It competes with COD bc it’s a very similar style game, but FREE. You’re not paying 70$ for 200gbs of glorified skin shops with a game somewhere in there. Given time xDefiant can be better. It hasn’t even has a proper chance yet. COD has had so many years, maybe decades now, to refine and mature and still barely changed or fixed any core problems.. maybe even gone backwards.
Well absolutely it's cod has gone backwards in the past 5 or 6 years it's completely shit at this point lol, and xdefiant MAY become a huge game but my main point is after 4 years of development and this is all we got....all I can see is the predatory monetary actions taking place🤷 it's a 0$ skin shop with a game somewhere in there. @@TheCodGod420_ It’s a free game. It has the right to have some micro transactions. Makes a lot less sense then for a full priced game. More importantly, they are not invasive like COD. xDefiant starts and runs better, has superior matchmaking, doesn’t take up a quarter of my PS5 storage, devs update important game mechanics don’t save updates for some DLC that just becomes another 70$ game, etc. I’m tired of paying to be abused. Turning my back on COD and not looking back.
@khlaps idk how you can say it's not invasive with microtransactions, in my comparison video I show that 66% of the available menu screens are telling you to buy micro transactions. Only 5 game modes but managed to have 3 separate 90 second ads telling people to BUY the game. Not play the free version. TO BUY it. So idk about not invasive bud. Microtransactions is kinda ALL they have since snd is now delayed again. And micros isn't even my main point, if the game was 100% at launch you can add all the micros you want but when you obviously shelf the game to develop bundles and drip free content to fix the game...there's big issues, just like how cod has big issues.

@Volknsarr I do understand where your coming from and if the game had let's say 10 game modes and more challenges from the start then if definitely agree. But the games kinda "free" scam. It was way overhyped just to get people to BUY bundles and the content was an afterthought. Just like cod. Just beacuse it's free dosent make it that much better if they are both trash IMO
Honestly i have almost 40 hours on the game and i dont see why people like it so much, other than they had been following it since it was announced. After about 30 hours and just kind of throwing shit at the wall and hoping it stuck, no gun really felt good to use, and the most fun i had was doing the challenges to unlock the weapons. Maybe ill play again in 6 months time, but right now its just not for me.
Yes! That's a big issue, they launched it incomplete to fill it in with microtransactions and drip feeding. And it probably will be good in 6 months or a year but THATs how it should of been at launch IMO🤷

Man I agree with some of your takes but its hard to want to agree with you cuz you make it painfully obvious that xdefiant taking eyes away from your favorite franchise hurts your feelings. You point out many similar issues the game has to cod, like battlepasses and it being full of micro transactions. You yourself even say that the problems this game had to cod are about 1:1. But instead of thinking "hey, heres a game coming out thats very similar to cod, but you dont need to pay $70 dollars yearly to get updates and lose out on anything you unlocked and bought every year," you start blindly raging claiming theyre the same thing, but youre ignoring that xdefiant offers infinitely better value "for the same game." You are completely right that the game launched with a relatively small amount of content, but at least they arent asking for money upfront just to play. Well first of all it's not taking anything away from cod since most people who are playing xdefiant had already quit call of duty, it's stale, has a bunch of issues ect. But to spend 4 years developing 3 90 second ads telling people to BUY the game, not play the free version BUT BUY the 70$ version which gives you nothing ontop of nothing. 5 game modes and the same movement and ttk as the alpha from 3 years ago💀💀💀 this game is obviously a cash grab(like cods been for the last 5 or 6 years) and not an honest fps with the sole purpose of being a good FREE game and nothing else. i cant believe people unironically find xdefiant fun, everytime i try to play it with my friends i just get pissed, most the guns you get are just useless without grinding for attachments and that takes ages and the fact it really wants to be a cod clone but just plays like a worse version of overwatch... oh and the fact all the guns i wanna use are completely useless
I think the only thing good about Xdefiant is its matchmaking, but they milk it so much as if that one factor can carry their entire game. Like thats super cool and all but it doesn't matter if the game makes you clinically braindead after 2 hours of playing it due to the sheer lack of content.

@@TheCodGod420_ The main reason why people are more critical of cod is simple. Cod is a $70 yearly release, while XDefiant is free to play and developed by a significantly smaller studio. People are more partial to microtransactions when the game is free to play. Also, there are fewer expectations because of the smaller studio. Add to that that the team communicating fixes and changes before, during, and after they’ve been implemented is a big thing. The game is also fast-paced, so I didn’t understand that point in your video, but I digress. Simply put, you are not looking at the whole picture and not looking at the game for what it is. A simple, fast-paced shooter with abilities and microtransactions if you want to buy but are not forced. There is also no downside to waiting for fixes that are coming pretty quickly, mind you, because you've paid $0 into the game. If you buy a $70 AAA title with 3000 develops touching the product you expect it to need little fixes upon release
@teenblack0ps idk man 70$ for 14+ gamemodes, zombies, dmz, campaign and other multiplayer from a AAA studio is alot better than 0$ for 5 game modes i.e zero content. Plus, it does everything cod does wrong. Ttk is unbelievably slow( more like an airsoft sim), and BTW, ubisoft sanfran is a AAA STUDIO as well. This level of effort is pathetic. There’s levels to this; you get reskinned multiplayer that’s been literally the same for 5 years; same with Warzone; no significant changes for the amount of developers. You’ve been fed the same content for years and say it’s worth the $70. Xdefiant was literally not even supposed to be what it is now; it’s just gotten so much support that it has a longevity map now with content that originally actually wasn't going to be in the game lol. It originally wasn't going to get this much support from Ubisoft. The situations are not the same. It has an art style that’s not going for hyper-realism, which is fresh and mixed with some abilities from their other titles; it’s just an interesting breath of fresh air. A game also doesn’t need stacks of "content"; sometimes it pays to just be enjoyable. SBMM is some peoples issue. Good maps and abilities, no sbmm/eomm, and you have happy gamers. TTK is fine. I grew up playing Halo 2; it’s literally nothing. Opinions can differ, and that's fine. The fact of the matter is that some people enjoy the game more than COD currently and look forward to what the game may bring in the future now that it's getting more support and a longevity road map. Look at the game for what it is: a new IP that originally had low expectations for the studio and now has some people calling it competition for COD. Which is a good thing. Sounds like your the one trying to “cope” with the fact people enjoy another shooter even though it's more simplistic lol
