Well you can play it free 2 play, nobody is forcing you to buy anything from the store There are no “EliTe BlUePrinTs” that are better than your customized weapons And about Double XP and slow progress… there are not 100+ weapons and the game is live service long lasting game, not a yearly release game, it doesn’t have to be fast (also I play it casualy and have M4 at lvl 35 in 2 days)

100% agree. It is greed. What's interesting is developers have got so greedy, they aren't understanding that these high prices are causing them to make less. When something is $30, $50, $80 in the game's store, they really limit their target of people who can buy those. Whereas, if they make everything under $3 it significantly opens up their market because not everyone has disposable income, but there's even more of a reason. Here's it is? Why do grocery stores put the candy bars, gum, small bags of chips, tic tacs, etc at the cashiers? Why do name brand store, such as Calvin Klein, put their sunglasses, belts, wallets, etc at the cashier? Because these items are of the least cost in the entire store. When someone is already buying, the little cost items doesn't bother them. They grab and throw it on the counter. EVERYONE pays attention to the total cost they're spending on an item. What most people don't do is pay attention to an accumulation cost. For example, if something is $100, how many people will, or can buy it? If items are less than $3 or $5, how many people will quickly spend, and end up spending a total of $100?

if people doesnt pay the devs it will b cleared. they took the fortnite route. while charging a ass ton more. in fortnite bp u get like 750 more vbucks than the bp costs. so if u get the bp and dont spend anything other than the bp again. u can get a top tier skin for free in 9 months.

It would be a lot better if the skins were 50-200 max. Spending $10 on a single gun camo that has counterparts in the battle pass is crazy

Xdefiant should have done what Multiversus did by giving away season one battle pass if you played the beta not typically my kind of game but by giving away the pre season pass it would have got even more to play.

I played 3 games and moved up one rank in Xdefiant so that is shitty because I would not level up the pre season pass in time unless I played 8 hours a day + so that's a shady way to get people to buy tears it's shameful.

BTW, Ubisoft has yet to respond to my question about Battleye for Consoles.

I bought the preseason battle pass as a way to support but the cosmetic prices are a bit too ridiculous I love the AK and want some skins for it but individual skins can cost as much as a battle pass (1000 XCoins). if it was 3 AK skins for example with the same "theme" then its much more palatable. also, a lot of the skins just do not look good. until they step up their cosmetic game and pricing, ill just stick to the battle pass as something to grind towards.

Xdefiant deff isn't the cod killer! I was hyped for this game played the test was a little dissapointed but then had hope for the release and I don't really know what changed. I played it release day and haven't went back....

I'm fine with the MTX's. As you said they need to make money somehow, but the price and quality don't add up. A single weapon skin that doesn't even look good should be 1 or 2 bucks. If they offered them as a a schematic and you could apply them to any weapon, I'd be willing to drop 5 or 10 bucks for it. I did buy the battle pass to show some level of support for the game, but I won't be buying anything outside of that unless they come up with some more creative skins and at a reduced price.

Agree, when i first saw to store , i damn near shit myself. 1. If someone wants it , i feel okay , but wait till the iron out the game. Don't invest if shit is broken 2. I know it's not a free to play, but live service game, but Helldivers 2, in my opinion, has one of the best systems and does things right. I do not know if you know this. There are ways to earn more XP and other things through the Ubisoft connect shit. Really, it's not that serious, but I thought I'd toss it out there. I do agree we may see a more pay to win coming. I get strong overwatch 2 vibes from xdefiant. It’s ridiculous that they wanna charge people so money for a different colored version of a weapon/skin that isn’t any different besides the color. That shoulda been part of the game to grind for like every other fps out there. Why not make a statement and release a badass battlepass day 1 on a game that had so many people wanting something new. Half the stuff they’re charging for shoulda been on the battlepass because that current battlepass is aweful and distasteful. They shoulda came out swinging on this game if they really wanted to try and take away a piece of the pie from cod you gotta offer more than cod. Everything they had that was drawing players they are already losing. How do you expect to keep the game alive when black ops 6 is coming and will pull most its players back. I agree with you so much also that the skins should be 2-5 bucks maybe 10 for the dope ones that aren’t just a different color of the base skin. If cod did that I can already see the rage. They would still make a fortune off skins probably more than they are now. Game is programed to make us angry so we break and buy booster. Battlepass lack content and even then the only items that someone would want are behind paywall. After playing for few days I really, really feel all the greed from UBI. First you hit the nail on the head in like the first 5 seconds. It's a free to play game. If there are micro transactions in the game that 100% is on the player not to purchase. To me it's sounding like you are saying if a game is free everything in the game should be free. How are devs supposed to get paid? How are improvements supposed to be made if they don't get paid for their time. This is how you make money on a F2P game. Fornite is a prime example of this f2p game and make a bunch of money in other areas Let me be abundantly clear I'm not for micro transactions but there is logic to why they are in a f2p game. Because it's their only source of income for the game. This is why hyperspace died because there were little to no micro transactions and they didn't make the money back that they put into the game. It actually does have a purpose compared to cod bs. The prices are reasonable af seeing as it's a FREE GAME and literally EVERYONE has microtransactions. How else are they going to make money on a FREE game. If you don't want to buy anything don't buy it. Unlike COD it is NOT pay to win. Buying skins does not improve your chances of winning a gun fight.

Coming from a former subscriber I’m sorry to say, you are becoming part of the problem with gaming. I understand your channel is a rant channel and I was subscribed for a short time. You were one of the few creators that uploaded the type of game play I experienced (hardcore) and had similar issues. However, the constant negativity was too much, so I unsubscribed. Regarding xdefiant, as of now, anything you purchase is purely cosmetic and has no impact on the gameplay. So someone who spends hundreds of dollars and someone who doesn’t spend any money have the exact same experience. I agree the prices are expensive, so I choose not to buy them. The prices are set by the market, obviously people are buying them at the prices listed or they would reduce the prices. The devs do have to make money, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to work for free and if you had the opportunity to give yourself a raise, I’m sure you would take it as well. Xdefiant took a huge risk. They created a game that wouldn’t generate the guaranteed money a AAA title would. They listened to gamers and even employed big RU-vidrs to try and make a FPS game that fixed some of the issues that plagued other games. People hated SBMM, so they removed it. Games were expensive, they made it free. Most importantly, they didn’t add any fuckin god forsaken noob tubes to the game. Is the game perfect? No, the net code issues and that damn annoying spider bot need to be addressed. I would say it’s important that xdefiant succeeds and is profitable. If it is, maybe other publishers follow the same formula. Lowering the cost of entry benefits everyone. The new COD is being added to game pass day 1, that’s a big risk as well. Back to the issue of you being part of the problem, why would any developer try and cater to gamers when no matter what they do, gamers will complain. Regardless of how the games turn out, the devs are putting in hard work to try to make a product people are happy with. They probably sacrifice time with family, friends and loved ones to complete these titles. If we continue to be ungrateful, then they’ll just ignore what we have to say and make games they want. It’s ok to criticize when there are legitimate issues, but looking for things to complain about is different. Maybe try and give some props to some of these devs and games for once.

Sure the game could use some more stuff for free to play. Some skins to grind for, or perhaps some challenges to unlock a title and emblem for our player card. But I feel like the micro transactions are fair in a free to play game, and they should price the items however they feel like. Companies need to make money after all. As long as they don't make you pay for stat changing items its cool with me. Although I feel like the game would be more successful if they lowered the prices for micro transactions by a large amount. I feel like if weapon skins were 2 to 3 bucks, a character skin between 5 and 10 and a year long day one faction release etc was 30 the barrier of entry is significantly lowered and more people would indulge in the transactions. As of now 70 bucks for the premium package is a bit much in my opinion. The game is fun, don't get me wrong, but it has some major issues. I feel like the lack of campaign and 3th mode (in comparison to cod), the limited maps and guns and the fact that you just unlock the skins and factions doesn't warrant the 70 dollar price tag you normally see on full fledged games.
