Hearing other people say "if you just play XDefiant casually you'll have more fun" is so refreshing. Yesterday on the XDefiant subreddit someone posted CoD's explanation on why they use SBMM and it caused so many people to show up and throw a fit because they say they are too high a skill level and CoD saying that they want lower skilled players to stick around longer offended them. They would complain and complain about how they are forced to used the meta weapons and abuse annoying tactics like grenade/flash spam but could not tell me just who was the one forcing them. They just kept saying that word, "forced" and talking about how unfun it was to play like that. So of course I tell them, "have you just tried not playing like that? Have you tried just playing the game for fun and not worried about wins?" and I'm the idiot somehow for suggesting they don't do the things that take enjoyment out of the game they're playing (but also don't have to play if it bothers you that much). I then bring up the fact that they are just too high a skill level for their own good. The higher the skill level, the lower the playerbase that shares your skill level and so they have problems with SBMM because they are better than 95% of players but still not as good as the 1% of pros. If they are playing a game with no SBMM they are complaining about having to carry the team every game and still losing and they just want all the Timmy no thumbs to leave and not come back until they get good. I bring up the fact that it's obvious that there millions having fun on CoD each and every day and the devs obviously have backend numbers that show that SBMM is keeping a better playerbase or else it still wouldn't be around 5 years after it was first implemented. There is fun to be had in the game and if you aren't having it, maybe it's your fault for playing in a way that leaves puddles of sweat in your chair because Timmy no thumbs over there is having a blast AND he doesn't need to wipe his brow 4 times mid match. So they again hit me with the "but I'm forced to". Sounds like you are in a toxic relationship that you know is toxic but you just won't leave it. That's your problem, not that game's. I hit them with what I get told often but slight changed, "it's a skill issue, your skill is too high" but for some reason they think it cannot go both ways. God forbid you tell someone "but if you want to actually put in effort to win and be the better player, why not go play ranked and stay out of pubs" because apparently they are a bit too competitive. So you say "then get good and you'll be on the same level as the only other players at a higher skill level than you" and all of sudden "get good" isn't a valid argument because they aren't the ones saying it to you. I tell them that they are basically an Olympic level sprinter and that once you hit Olympic level, the only real competition is other Olympians and they shouldn't expect 99% of people to keep pace with you. And playing a game like MW3 where the devs have been very open in the fact that SBMM isn't going anywhere since before launch is the same thing as an Olympic sprinter going to a playground, asking 6 year olds to race with him, and then getting mad and yelling they weren't trying when he beats them. You're on the wrong track but you should've known that when you saw playground equipment and no other adults there. Instead you "forced" yourself to run and you didn't have fun because of course you didn't. Everyone just sounded like that meme of the guy who puts the stick in the bikes spokes and then wonders why he fell down

The M4 is great now, I use it most the time with muzzle booster. The iron sights are good too so I don't use a red dot. I do rage a bit at players who just play like a free for all and don't play team obj. Kind of no point playing on obj based modes if you're not gonna get on the obj.

its not an in between its just better. it has the same one shot potential as the tac 50 but with better handling. How am i the only one who realizes this??? edit: training range is free btw

Hittin those shots! I feel ya on the competitive side. That also bleeds into making YT content. Just refocus on why you started , enjoy the process, do your best.

I don't know how you get these lobbies that move at normal speed. I need to work in fast forward in my lobbies. You actually get time to think at 40 ping. My 19 ping makes the game almost unplayable.

Congrats on just playing for fun, while still trying to play well! It's hard to find that balance but it truly feels the best!
