Sorry bro, but those drag bars DO NOT sit well with the riding position at all...if i were you, i would switch back to the original bars and keep these drag bars for future naked bike build or a bobber build. Rest is upto you and the patreons....👍👍👍👍
@@schr4nz yes exactly, jaret is 5'10", so he's able to compensate for the less travel these drag bars have. I say Jaret should switch back to the original handle bars. And if the winner wants, then jaret can give the drag bars as an added accessory....what say you...👍👍👍
With those handle bars, you need to put the foot controls on the back to be more sports bike like, cuz having both your hands and legs in the front isn't comfortable.
Agree...if you keep drag bars, you need to move foot controls back. Forward foot controls and drag bars are not meant to be together...maybe forward foot controls and ape hanger bars.
Bars are a bad move...changes the riding position to a more uncomfortable position...its a cruiser not a sport bike....Ducati engineers have spent millions on research bettering their bike handling etc. Put the stock back on
You guys are awesome, I own this bike also in white I’m close to 50 years old and 30 years ago those bars for me would be kickass but as the back starts being a problem as you age for me the stretch would kill me. As a matter of fact the bars I have are custom bars closer to me , no need for me to lean. But still amazing job. Love your Chanel.
Absolutely agree with you. It's a pain in the back to have to be leaning forward like that especially with the forward foot pegs. This could work if the pegs were in the traditional position but to have to be bent like a pretzel to reach the handle bars wouldn't be good for any long rides.
Spot on. Look at the riding triangle; you're going from a questionable setup and moving in the wrong direction. In this case function is following form. I applaud Jeret for acknowledging the shortcomings in performance and throwing the stock bars in for the winner.

Great video man! Although, I have to agree with everyone...I think the stock bars are better. The new bars kind of changed the dynamic of the bike. You have to remember, this is a cruiser not a sport bike. The overall build is looking amazing. Keep up the great work!
This build series has gotten me interrested in the xDiavel. And today I finally got to test ride one at an event at the local Ducati dealer. I was suposed to ride the Diavel 1260s, but there was some misscomunication, haha. But riding the xDiavel right after my RSV4 made me realize how comfortable and fun it is. Damn you Jaret! You got me questioning my choice of bikes. Why can't I just have them all :(
Bars look great ! AWSUM looks are always worth a bit of pain. It's not like you've been building tour bikes ! I'm 5'5"....so I'm comfy on any bikes I've owned ! I dig it !
Even if the Brembo MCs and levers worked, I would've still stuck with the stock ones, so I'm glad you're saving them for the next build. (a) stock look better on the bike (b) no significant performance improvement, these bikes do well with axial MCs
Jaret you make everything look awesome! The drag bars do look amazing, but I'm not crazy about being in a clam position. I think cruiser, I think swept back comfort style. It looks good, but I'd probably go back to stock.
This is the coolest Diavel I've ever seen. I've been considering switching from my Monster to the new Diavel V4 but just didn't love the look. Do you have a mod list for this bike? Could the new V4 be made to look similar?

hi Jaret, i have a x diavel s to and i saw on your bike it has a origenal black handle bar, where do you get the black???? i cannot find it on internet, the origenal handle bar is only avileble in light grey. can you put where i can buy a foreward handle bar from Ducati? greetings from the Netherlands
Big mistake on the bars. Form over function on a motorcycle kills rideability every time. Congratulations your sport bike bias failed Ducati's intent. On the positive side, everything else is looking good and beneficial.
Trevor did a awesome job on the bars but I have a feeling he will be changing them back , the bike is built for comfort and now not so much. Trial and error.
Yeah I highly debated drag bars but after doing a 3 hour ride with the stock bars I know drag bars would break me off. I chose functionality over aesthetics still though loving this build series.

These suck and ruin the ergonomics of an otherwise great bike to ride. You can have my LSL drag bars --- Rode around the block and went back to stock. I think the bike actually looks worse as well. Sort of "try hard" when a Ducati should never be trying to be cool.
FYI thats not a race-spec master like you mentioned. Its a forged variety unlike the billet race-spec variety used on most race bikes that employ Brembo brake systems. I can tell just by the color of the body of the master that it is the forged variety (mines the same except it being the GP MK kind). That's exactly how I feel about the cruisers I've ridden...except for the xDiavel. Got to test ride one this weekend. The seat gave a good lumbar support and the bars gave made me sit with good posture. Really comfortable. Alltough I like to be able to absorb bumps with my legs and that's a no with the feet forward position ^^
All my sport bikes were super uncomfortable in comparison to my X Diavel. No pain at all. No shoulder pain , nothing. Best bike ever ...... I’m driving this X since 2 years. And I am super happy. Had a streetfighter , a Panigale , a Monster and a normal Diavel Carbon ....... best of all= xdiavel, customized as well😍😍😍

Badass ........ not! Put the stock bars back on. I own one of these bikes, fell in love with it the first time I saw and rode one. I’ve added some carbon fiber here and there and some Roland Sands bling. But for the most part, the Ducati designers got it right. Shibumi ..... understated elegance. Less is more.

Throw that shit in the garbage and put the stock bars back on! Makes it look like a Harley Fat Bob - GROSS! Everything else you've done to the bike is ridiculously well played. I'd say that part of doing things like this is recognizing when things don't always go the way you hope and being able to say - "Ok, that didn't quite work out" and redoing it. Back to stock bars, brotha!
