Agreed. XC3 on the other hand was so disappointing. I can remember less than 5 OSTs from that game compared to XC2 where I literally can remember every single track.
@@tcg2717 I talk about this all the time and ppl say I'm crazy and XC3 music is good, nah bruh I can literally remember EVERY TRACK from 1 AND 2, but same as you, I can hardly remember 3's ost, it's so mid
@@ginganinja420_3 Same dude, and don't even get me started on the environment design. Basically 3 was a huuuuuuge let down for me. Can't even compare to 1 and 2 at all.
XC3 is the most professional one. From sound quality to composing. I still like XC2 ost more, but that's also first Xenoblade ost I heard so that's a big factor. But when you listen XC3 ost especially out of the game it's quality shines through. It's an absolute master piece. Like every Xenoblade ost.
Favourite area theme from the game. It's *slightly* repetitive, but at the same time, when I first got to Tantal and this music started playing, my jaw dropped. It ruled.
The best way I could describe Tantal’s night theme is a spiritual successor to Agniritha’s night theme, but more guitar and less vocals. They both give a sense of “stop, and just… breathe”
The Tantal region has cool music, but in my opinion, Tantal's capital city has some of the most haunting, bone-chilling and yet beautiful and sad music in the game. God I love this game. Going back and replaying it makes me realize just how much better it is than both Xenoblade 1 & 3 in the ways that count.
if there's one pair of songs i wanna hear Jesse react to its the Indol themes and the Theosior (the capital of Tantal) themes, the two town themes that have vocals by the same group, but the vocals and the music has such a drastic contrast in the tone and the lyrics
Minor spoiler on the biome that Tantal is. The Tantal day theme kind of gives me the vibe of braving a snowstorm, while the night version reminds me of walking around at night, surrounded by Christmas lights and light snow.
XC2 made me stop to listen to the music so many times because it was so captivating. Just like in Uraya, the atmosphere is so rich with the background music.
Tantal (Day) has to be my most conflicted track in this game. It's good, i actually thought at first it's one of the best winter themes I'd heard in games, but I found myself rather quickly growing tired of it. But also, navigating Tantal was honestly kind of miserable on my first playthrough, so that might have something to do with it, too. I don't mind the Night version anywhere so much, though. I think I prefer it. I just feel like the day track wears itself out too fast, somehow.
A small local orchestra (Orchestre à vents de musiques de film) put on a show covering the XC2 soundtrack last year. The music selection was not especially what I was hoping for (not that it was bad), but since they had an accompanying choir they covered pretty much all the games' best choir tracks. Each one of those choir tracks, and Mor Ardain, were phenomenal. Unfortunately, sales weren't too great, but I'm hoping it won't deter the orchestra from covering more games, even though they specialize in movies.
Tantal was an amazing area to explore. Not my favorite bit story wise, but the atmosphere and music were top tier. My favorite spot is the religious town, forget the name but the day theme there is just chef's kiss. Would AFK there on purpose just to listen to it while waiting on Blades to finish missions.
@@jacobmonks3722 yep that's the one, the theme for Indol. Absolutely love that song. It reminds of Nisan, The Holy Town from Xenogears. Lol I remember going around Indol and wondering if I might stumble on a statue of Elly (obviously not though)
