I'm so jealous of the European Special Edition. I would have loved a soundtrack, even just as a CD. It's almost criminal to not have some music with the US edition. Even the steelbook too ahhhh

Don't know if you care or not, but I just want to let you know: remember to store the vinyl vertically. If it lays flat it could cause some warping of the record.

My copy will be arriving tomorrow and I'm so happy to have been able to get this edition. It makes a nice change that the UK has something like this available considering that most the time, it seems like UK editions (and stock amounts) are usually an after thought.

the only thing that pisses me off for the NoA version is the lack of the digital sound selection, the steelbook and poster. the Vinyl is cool, but I dont own a record player. but the digital sound selection was literally a paper insert code.. the fuck the poster is self explanatory, its a print.. steelbook is more substantial but still, the fuck

I’ve got this version bring imported to the US because of the steelbook and soundtrack. The vinyl itself I’m not bothered by, but Nintendo America really dropped the ball with this one.

If only Nintendo could do their online as well as their Collectors editions And btw i have vinyl player at my gandmas house and that vinyl is not just a prop. It actually works

3? I've brought this game 4 times. Wii, Wii U VC, New 3DS, and Switch. And Xenoblade 1 was worth it every time.

Honestly the EU collector’s set makes the “definitive works” set almost look laughable in comparison.

As someone living in Europe. I’m really happy with this DE. Just one thing, I would have preferred a CD over the vinyl for the soundtrack. I just don’t have a way to play it

It’s been 5 years since I’ve played this game. I want this so bad words can’t even describe it. I don’t know what it was about this game that got my attention all those years, but before I knew it I got it for the 3ds and no other game has ever me the feeling of enjoyment that xenoblade has.

The symbal on the back/side b of the disk is the traditional Chinese character “machine”... well it can also mean “opportunity” or “timing”.

I wanted one of these so bad. UK deserves it though. They're the reason the game even came out back then so I'm not too mad.

The collectors edition is great! I have not removed the plastic of the vinyl cover yet though

It's a game about a dealing with artifacts from an ancient civilization.... complete with vinyl. Hmmmm.

We wouldn’t have Xenoblade in America if Nintendo of Europe hadn’t done the work to actually translate it for overseas, so I mean... it makes sense that they get the better collectors edition.

I think the one good thing about the works set is the fact that it has a hardcover book but man I’m so jealous of this version 😂

It's almost perfect.. The ONLY issue I had with the European version was that the art book was softcover which is such a shame. The US received a hardcover copy of the book along with a slipcover to keep it protected. I originally bought the US version before I knew this one existed, so I bought the European one as well. I'm swapping out the books and giving the US copy to a friend as a gift. Win Win!

The North Americas CE we got her comes with a hard cover version of the art book, Europe got a steelbook, Vinyl, paperback art book, poster, steelbook and a digital code for the sound selection and the Japanese Edition came with the artbook, a completely different steelbook from Europe and a physical CD Sound selection. With all that said I had to do the only rational thing I could possibly think of and I bought all 3 which all came today.

My Collector’s edition has officially shipped. Let’s hope it shows up at a reasonable time unlike when I got Persona 5 Royal.

Someday, I wish there will be a Xenoblade 1 + 2 Special Set that has Xenoblade Definitive and Xenoblade 2 with a special joint campaign taking place at the end of both adventures. Would be so nice.

I received mine today in the afternoon :) I love that we have the best Collector's Set for once :D Normally Japan and USA outclass us in special editions

I really like that the art book we got in NA is hardback, but I’m pretty sour that we don’t even have an option for a steel book case for the game without importing. And our plastic case still has the ESRB rating! At least the cover is reversible, with clean art on the other side.

I got the US special edition and while I’m glad I got it because art book is super cool and the presentation of the entire package is really nice, every other region’s special edition is so much better from a content standpoint. Especially with them all being around the same retail price, but the US version having far less included. It is interesting that the US version has a hardcover art book while the European version has a paperback one though.

I pre-ordered this, but EB Games screwed up my pre-order and gave me the standard edition instead lol That's okay, in life I have to just be grateful for what I get, even if pre-orders are altered without my permission x3 In other words, we can't always get what we want in life~ ^^ I just want to say, congratulations to everyone that secured their pre-order! You all deserve this! I'm truly happy for all of you~ ^^

Good Presentation dude :) I love Xenoblade story already from 2 in switch and the first one from Wii. but respect to the vinyl. Never remove the fold outside. Do a simle gentle cut so the vinyl come out. Never touch the vinyl surface with fingers. You put accidentally fat to the sensitive little treads and influence the quality of sound. From a guy who have been raised with vinyls from 1968. ( 3670 vinyls collection) Vinyls are a "fortune" if you know how to care of them....

Aus/NZ version didn't get the vinyl, just a standard CD. But our artbook is hardcover

I live in NA but I actually ordered the EU version of the collector's edition because of all the extra stuff. My friend in London is going to mail it to me when he gets it and I can't wait. Definitely worth the $10-20 difference for all the extra stuff, thank goodness the Switch isn't region locked.

I was able to import the European special edition, really glad I did. I plan on keeping the vinyl sealed though since I don’t have a record player. Might just find a way to frame it instead alongside with the poster

I got the American Definitive Works set and I'm actually pretty dang satisfied by it. The box is really nice, and the interior cardboard that holds everything together even has the Monado printed on it, which is just a nice extra touch. Plus, the art book is hardcover, which is great. A bit sad that I don't get access to the soundtrack at all, though. Even after just 2 hours of playing the game, I really want to jam out to the songs. But the American edition was more affordable to me anyways, so I'm pretty content overall.

Wow! The game and the steel book?! I’ve never seen that before.

Sort of wish I had ordered this now. That art book is huge compared to what you normally get, usually only about 15 pages in a A5 size 😂

To be clear: Before you use this record as a Frisbee, please send it to me. Having a Turntable seems the only reason to me to by this package. So please: before you damage the LP. SEND IT TO ME!! Side A is probably destroyed and side B at least partially.

I have the American version, and I DO love the box more, but I really wish we at least got the steel booklet. I’m okay with not having the vinyl, or poster. But that steel booklet is gorgeous 😩

I had my copy sent to an amazon pick up point post office, i got an email that it was ready fort pickup at 1pm, i went there and at the moment the post office only serves from 9am-12pm, so i gotta get it tomorrow morning x_x Lucky i also brought it digitally, so i have already slapped down 6 hours since finishing work XD

Anyone else not able to redeem your code for the soundtrack on Nintendo of Europe's site? It requires you to type in the code that you receive with the Collector's Set, but the problem is you *can't* type it in. There is no dialog box to type it in.

I unpacked mine earlier today. I was blown away by the quality of this edition. The art book weighs a ton. Left thr vinyl record in the sleeve, though.

Got my copy today, I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited to play it.

How can I possibly be happy with the American version, Jon? I am just picking mine up from Walmart here, but to my knowledge we got skimped. We got a hardbook, the game with no steel book and a download with no vinyl. I would have paid about 150 dollars for your version, whereas I paid 80 for ours. I think for the value and presentation the europeans came out on top considering the special edition isn't even $150.

To be honest I think Europe got the best deal. US and Japan don't even get the download code ...

I know you don't have a record player but as someone who does I cringed at the way you grabbed the record!! (lol) Try to grab it from the edge and the middle of the disk to not let any oil/unwanted particles in the grooves.

I picked up the American special edition today and I'm happy with it. The hard cover art book is beautiful. I only wish that it came with the steelbook instead of the normal game case, similar to the special edition to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I can't wait to start playing it tonight!

Yooo wtf i didn’t know we were the only ones that got this collector that’s soo sick, I got it as well and I love it, even more so now that I know it’s Europe exclusive ( lucky us ) however it is unfortunate for the people that didn’t play the original because the artbook is full of spoilers

stores in france also gave free monado keychains with the collector, mine just arrived today (delayed because of covid19, but thankfully I also bought the game digital, so didn't mind) it's probably the very first collector I buy... wish I had money for XC2 and XCX one back then, but well the games alone were great and I managed to get XCX artbook, looking for XC2 one!

If you ever get a record player you should do a video featuring the vinyl playing on it

This is such a great set, I love that it's an actual proper sized book (instead of the usual preorder art books that are like small postcard sized things). It's a shame in Australia that you get a CD instead of the Vinyl tho.

And once again...NoA gives us the shaft. We just get the artbook.

I imported the EU version for the vinyl and the steelbook, but the US and Australian versions artbook is hardcover.
