55 minutes is a short video for one game, but earing a rerack mid-video left me in awe at this script's chaos. Though I expected a Damsel guess to close out the second one.
If I had a nickle for every time the Fang Gu & the Godfather targeted the same person on night 2 I would have 2 nickles which isnt a lot but its wiered that it happened twice
the best thing about the second one was that patters was in the same chat with his demon when they learned that milk was the plague ducktor - so he coulda seen this coming XD
Technically, if a Recluse claims Minion and correctly guesses the Damsel, the ST has full right to just hand the evil team the win, don't they? That would be hilarious. Extremely mean, but hilarious.
They can't "burn" the Minion guess and not lose. Either it's not a Minion and doesn't trigger the loss, or it is a Minion and they do trigger it.@@TheFinalChapters
@@TheFinalChapters I don't think it should definitely do a thing, or not do it. I see your point, but you never know if people are just bluffing to throw off players, or seriously making a move to accomplish something, or for laughs, or x, or y, or z.
@@TheFinalChapters Wrong, or hoping the ST does something you want to happen, like burn the minion guess. There are very few absolutes when the ST has discretion granted by the rules. The context is important, like a Hail Mary situation, or the other team has several lucky snipes, etc. etc.
@@TheFinalChapters I understood you the first time. Your argument is weak, IMO. MMROW's statement makes sense. If registered as a minion, it does give evil the win, per the rules. After that, the argument about "should" this or that doesn't hold much water, IMO.
@@TheFinalChapters Darby and mmrow are both right here. You'd be fully within your rights as an ST to end the game. Or you're fully fine to leave it. The guess is not burned, there is no way to "burn it." Four people have said to you now that it's not burned. Outside of that it's just taste as to what makes a fun game.
I'm returning for my monthly viewing of this episode, and it's still hilarious and wacky. From the secret votes, to the character jumpings, to the multitude of gossips, to the wild private conversations... what a fun time.
Most players are also just really bad at making guesses. They need to be more broad and ask questions that eliminate around half the possible worlds each time. Asking something like "Does my ability tell me if the starting demon is next to one of their minions" is incredibly specific, compared to something broad "Does my ability relate to the position of players?"
@@aGoshDarnTravesty If you assume a game going around 5 days (with no guarantee that the amne makes it to final three) and with an ability that only gives you one piece of information, you're pretty unlikely to get a bingo using that method. In this case, getting a warm on "position of players/characters" still puts you at least two, and more likely three, correct steps away from useful information. Because until you work out that it's "evil player" and "clockwise from me" (and you risk spending an extra day asking if it's "next to me" once you've worked out it's positional relative to you) you're most likely dead.

It can increase the number of Outsiders, hypothetically, but it almost never does. The [+ Damsel] is mostly there to ensure STs don't put the Huntsman in the bag without the Damsel. - Ben
i would've put the virgin in. with that many non-townsfolk characters, the probability that virgin procs is low, so your trying to work out why it didnt
I would like to know how TPI advises on running the Barber swap. Is it officially ruled to happen after the demon kills, even when the Barber is executed. I know that some STs let it happen first thing after execution.
I think Ben said it once on different channel's stream, as a guest ST. And as a guest ST he is running everything by the night order, including Barber. And Barber has its place in night order, so swap is there
@@DragonfoxShadow But also night order is a suggestion that STs do not have to follow to heart. I usually mix the night order up but group abilities together in the general way: Special Cases, Poisonings, Drunkness, Protectors, Demons, Minion killings, Minions others, Everyone else. In general, as long as you do Droisonings, Protection, killings, then everyone else, you should be good to run a fun game still and to have players not meta what is in play just by waking order :3
It's not an official ruling, but I run it in the night order position, so it's not obvious if the barber was the person who got executed or the one they've just killed at night.
General mechanics question: How would you negotiate a situation where a Alchemist with the Fearmonger ability selected and successfully executed a Goblin who'd claimed it? Which team would win? Is there a standard rule of thumb for situations like this or would it be a perfect tie?
