This is the theme of "Last Battle" from Xenosaga Episode 1. Enjoy! I do not own Xenosaga or any of its music and characters. All content in the Xenosaga series belongs stricly to Monolith Soft.
I love this boss theme so much. It just send chills down my spine when it first opened since it was the first new battle theme in the game. It just emphasized the sheer importance of this battle and the need to destroy the proto merkabah
"the first new battle theme" "last battle theme" Yeah that's episode 1 though! I like xenosaga a lot but never got a copy of the games past episode 1 (and never finished episode 1 for that matter). I hope you have a wonderful day!
bro i had to do this twice cause MOMO died while guarding, 800 dmg when she has 780 like cmon... and he critted both Kos-Mos for 1.2k when she has 1.1k hp and critted chaos for 1.2k when he had 1k hp i was there like BRUH is this for real
UGH. This music is so amazing it's like an overload. The feeling is so intensely powerful that I'm having difficulties not exploding. The music isn't necessarily heavy, but it's just so remarkable... How can anyone resist Xenosaga if we get music like this?
"Cool, the final boss has its own theme, I'm glad they didnt use the regular battle theme for the...Did the final boss just wipe out my entire party with that attack?"
at this point of the game I was totally in love with Xenosaga, and the last boss... thought it wasn't the hardest one to bet definitely was a nice closure to the episode... I can remember "he Fused the Gnosis With the reactor!!!!, and the timer still going on :D EPIC
I loved how Xenosaga was so religious in its tone. In a way you would need to play it more than once to fully understand the game...let alone the series.
Brings back memories. On my first runthrough of the game, I was so weak that I actually had to use the Erde Kaiser finish Sophie off! I couldn't believe how strong the final boss was! Second time through the game, I completely destroyed Sophie. By the end of the fight, I still had my instant-revive technique in place and a spell that would halt my characters hp to 1; in case they ever were about to be killed in the first place.
@@officerchachi3857 hahaha I'm glad I could blow your mind. My parents noticed back when I was a kid and pointed it out or I wouldn't have known at all. They asked me about it recently and I was like hmm, I'll bet you're thinking about xenosaga but I don't think it was a full on quote... looked this up and ate my words 😂
@@boredgoddesstori6635 The devs that did Xenogears split from Square and went on to make MonolithSoft, it's why so many folks carried over between projects Xenosaga and Xenoblade are spiritual successors to Xenogears, a remake of Xenogears was initially going to be fit in as Xenosaga 5 til they had to cut down the project to three parts instead of six lol Like, it's not common knowledge unless you look for it so it's understandable folks don't know, but it's all intentional, it's why Saga and Blade have so many callbacks and homages to Gears
@@RrowdyBeast still, they cannot directly reference Xenogears due to licensing issues. The closest we got was Abel from Xenosaga just looking the same as Abel from Xenogears
you mean the song "One who baresfangs at god" from xenogears ost? Hmm it does have that feint impression in the rhythm and melody when Feiis fighting the Uroboros after the small chat with a transcended Kreilan about life, humans and their imperfections and God.
for the last boss i had 2 really beat him slowly and it took me about 3 hours becuz this is the only song that is different in the whole entire game of battles
33 is the level you will be at if you fight every enemy you encounter in the game...it is more than enough to win if you have Bravesoul and Double Buster. I equipped both to Jr. at this level and after upgrading the Tech all the way my attacks were doing 2800 each...so in a normal turn with Jr. it is possible to inflict 6000 damage.
This is probably mitsuda's Magnum OPUS when it comes to battle themes. It's so original, and well layered. Everytime I listen, I hear something different.
Been a while since I thought about that comment. XD Thank you for the reply. I think I might have stumbled onto that information somewhere later on, but I wasn't sure at the time.
Personally I loved having one battle theme up until the very end, stupid no doubt and I'm sure I'll have a mob after me but... still it works, you go through the entire game, one theme, feeling strong, feeling that you can take anything down and then the final fight changes it up. From feeling strong to again feeling like you did at the start of the game 'will I make it out, will I see the end of this fight?' think what you will, I loved it XD
while I still think having only a single theme throughout the game was a big detractor for it, can't lie when I say it was pretty effective the moment this one showed up
Everyone's talking about Xenosaga continuation, and as unsatisfied as I am by the whole thing, let's face reality. 1. They stated Xenosaga wasn't a prequel to Xenogears, but a reimagining. 2. They already screwed that series up by making 3 games instead of 2, so the creator essentially gave up on it being the whole original series anyway. 3. Xenoblade is all he cares about now. How it'll evolve, who knows, but it's not Xenosaga or xenogears right now.
They were supposed to make 6 games, yearly releases. They could have done it if they hadn't changed the battle system and graphics for every game. I want to replay the trilogy soon, but I'm kinda worried about having to go through all the side quests in Ep I and II again, it wasn't that fun lol
espica, my dad said the same thing about Namco making 6 games, and goddamn I would have loved to at least seen them, I want more Xenosaga, it was the only RPG I wasn't really shitty at! And the story and characters my god they were amazing, and the American voice acting actually was good, it wasn't pure garbage like some, which to me is a plus!
Kinda stupid that this was the ONLY other battle theme in that entire game. Every boss battle, no matter how pivotal, had the same battle music until the final one. It's a good song, but by the time you hear this beast it's long tired
This isn't important. There is an *Ace Attorney* Fancase that used *this track* as one of the "Moderato" pieces in a Testimony/Cross-examination sequence of a character named *Billy Peppers*. The case is called, "Turnabout Revolution". That was a choice well made, because I fell in love with this track the instant I heard it, and it fit so well with the serious, intense mood of the case.
Ohh i really love the last boss fight music :D It makes me think of the music when your fighting the Time Devourer in Chrono Cross:) Really nice music:D
Ep 3 still finishes in a pseudo cliffhanger as they never did find the planet where Xenogears was meant to take place (hinted to be Lost Jerusalem AKA Earth).
I'd build about 5 or so levels before taking it on and making sure you some Techs are equiped in the near section. Also know that Sophia's boost will take over yours and you can't over power the enemie's boost
hmm this boss fight had me spamming moves from left to right like crazy..good thing I had shion , kos-mos and chaos in the group...it was quite long but I took it out..its been awhile since I've heard this theme..
Guys if we pester namco to put Xenosaga on EP 1~3 on PSN maybe it can render enough sales for ep 4? And even so it doesn't happen at least we can play 1~3 on our PS3's.
Suffice it to say Xenosaga series has one of the ABSOLUTE best soundtracks overall. Many of the songs in the games are great. I am a huge fan of the Halo soundtrack and even that doesn't touch this games soundtrack. Thats IMO anyway.
This boss is evil incarnate... I didn't even realize it was the final boss until I saw this... (I had my suspicions, though, which was why I clicked it in the first place, to see if I was right.) Um... any tips on how to kill it? My characters are around lv. 33 (if I remember correctly).
it's risky at lv 33 you may be able to beat sophie. Just make you have the curcuits +4 equiped and Heal Guard 10% just in case. W-acts suck-don't use them.
No, it still means that, once again, the series wasn't brought to fruition as it was supposed to. They claim Xenoblade is another reinvisioning where they expect to bring forth all the ideas they perfected over the years into one work, but we'd have to wait and see.
Xenogears isn't a sequel to Xenosaga. They aren't even related. Xenosaga was supposed to span six episodes, and Shion's arc (the three games we got) was supposed to only be two games (pretty sure games 3-6 would've had Lost Jerusalem). I believe the developers stated that Xenosaga is more like a reimagining of Gears, so it's not a sequel.
Seriously!! As much as I love Episode I, it annoyed me infinitely that there was only one battle song until the very end. I started muting battles because I couldn't stand the song anymore.
@nightzeroAX Do you have any idea about the series? The project was meant to be six or so games, but the budget wasn't going to fit the bill, so they knocked it to 3 parts and rushed the story. Xeno3 is a great game, but the plot is thrown together for the sake of finishing the game. There will never be an ep. 4.
Um... by "near" section, do you mean the kind that can be fired off with two button presses and only 4 AP? I've got plenty of those... Is grinding really the only answer? I mean, I hate having to do that... I don't mind fighting underleveled; heck, I beat Sapphire's Elite Four at only lv. 47. And yeah, I know about the counter-boost. But Sophie is hardly the only boss that does it. One last thing... my lineup is Jr-Momo-pilot (it works great for the Albedo fight), any thoughts about that?
