Shadow hearts (Imbroglio) (Extended) 

It literally causes me pain how underrated this game is. It should be on the same pedalstall as Final Fantasy.

I wish we got more 'Horror-JRPGs'

Absolutely loved this and Koudelka. Lookin forward to play Covenant. They don't invest in this kind of games anymore. This was low budget but the developers put everything they could on it

This sure lets you know one thing: "oh...were screwed!"

Not only that, man, it had the PERFECT blend between wacky humor, "ecchi" fanservice, seriousness, drama, darkness, intrigue and it had perfect side quests, enemy designs were creepy, system was immersive and exciting even for a JRPG, and the music was perfect.

Bring back the "lovecraftian horror themed jrpg games".

For some random reason, I think about the sound of bell then started thinking about this song. Man, I should play Shadow Hearts again.

Just hearing the bells made me literally nervous lmao the bells signifies "we're screwed". Can't believe I still manage to beat him my first try. Knowing me, it would take me a crap load of tries

i just love this theme, its the disturbing kind that just sets the mood. and for that matter i miss the days when rpg games where had story and characters. thanks for posting this

This battle is hard if you don't have crucifix equipped. Your stuck in a loop of healing status abnormalities until miss a ring turn.

You fight the creature whose actions led humans to believe in gods. That's unsettling

This is a very good theme, the bells are very nicely used and fairly imply a serious sense of 'We are so screwed'. Very nice.

if you didn't have the Seraphic Radiance at this point, you're doing it wrong.

Brilliant. Started this game about 16 years ago but never finished it until picking it back up from my 22 hour save about a week ago. Just beat it and can't wait to do NG+. Horribly underrated game and wish I didn't wait so long to complete it.

Heh this game was one of my favorites. Part one and part two connects. Makes sense how the good ending of part 1 is possible after playing part 2. This game was really deep,also was really creepy at the same time.(Part 1 mostly)

Epic and excellent, the Judgment Day theme from those bells is terrifying. Not just one ring, but wave after wave, drowning out everything. Like an apocalypse.

WE DID IT BOYS

Boss designs aren't that scary anymore outside of the typical zombie horror genre. This screams Lovecraftian horror and i loved it. This and 2 were my favorites hell i loved the fact that they included the Hound of Tindalos....even if the lore canon Hound would destroy even Amon. " They were evil , derived of the geometric rather than the organic. They came from beyond time and space to hunt those who stepped over the boundaries. They found my friend and killed him leaving a strange blue ichor on where they ripped his leg from his body.... well something to that effect from the actual book.

Reminds me a lot of the music in Drakengard. Makes you want to slaughter legions

I remembered having to fight that weird thing, I hated that thing but loved this song! I'm glad I got to hear it again.

Shadow hearts is one of the best J rpg's i haven't played koudelka yet.

you can't see it in this image but it has a second head underneath the normal one, and it's a fly head.

Monkey paw and silver hand work well against it. And it has a good final boss theme too.

ah man do i have so much love for this series and its music after all these years, and more to come. just remembering that one of its bosses is just... goddamn.... jesus with his skin flayed kinda tickles me. and god here being a space fly with hooves and shit, it's great. hoping for more weird and wonderful things in pennyblood~

I like how this battle is still tough but much more enjoyable with fully decked characters at level 99

the first time i heard this back when i was in secondary school was one of the proudest moments of my gaming life.

This boss was definitely harder than the second game's final boss.

Why does this not have more views?

the overall creepy moments that would sometimes come out of nowhere in this game are unrivaled in anything ever on a jrpg FOR ME..only think i can think of is the beginning of Xenosaga 1 and that comes nowhere close to SH1. I remember getting this when i was 11 at EB games thinking cool another rpg game i can play..and when i saw that opening cutscene it just blew me out of the water and i knew i was in for some good shit...then that first town just sealed the deal

Most underated game ever. I really hope they can remake this - Imgine shadow heart 1 with no 3's battle sytem and graphics ... ;O

If only Shadow Hearts 3 didn't shy away from gothic horror, we could have had a few more games.

I had all 3 SH games before selling them about half a year ago with the rest of my games and consoles. The first two are on my top five RPGs for sure, it eas one of the rare moments where I wanted to do every side quest and get every secret in the game (especially on the first game). When you get that ultimate last transformation with Yuri and fight the last boss with it *chef's kiss* I just wish that they remaster all the games or at least put them on the PS Plus store/Game Pass.

Shadow Hearts Series.......Or as I started viewing it as Yuri's Bizarre Adventure Phantom Blood the RPG! Which is not a bad thing (I prefer the Jojo's set in past more then the modern era anyway! Not that I hate Part 3-6 and 8)

I love this piece with every fiber of my being but thematically trumpets/horns would have been excellent. (I.e. The horns of judgement)

Kind of repetitive, isn't it? (and before you ask, no, I don't hate this theme or this game. I never even played this game, and I actually think this theme is pretty damn good. I just thought someone should point it out.)
