READ MY 360 REVIEW: thatfitfriend.com/xero-shoes-...
Xero Shoes is known for their minimalist shoes and has recently come out with the Xero Shoes 360 to tackle cross-training specifically. The 360 features a lot of Xero Shoes' core features, but with a few updates.
For starters, the Xero Shoes 360 has a reworked upper construction to prolong its durability and assist exercises like rope climbs. In addition, there's also a revamped sole to support multi-directional movements with ease.
In this Xero Shoes 360 review, we're going to break down all of the essential details that you need to know about this model.
0:00 Xero Shoes 360 Pros
1:55 Xero Shoes 360 Cons
3:36 Xero Shoes Performance
7:00 Is the 360 worth it?
7:51 Drop and Weight
8:03 Sizing and Fit
8:25 Price
9:03 Prio Vs 360
10:38 Construction
Overall, I've been really enjoying training in the Xero Shoes 360. They've actually started to replace my Xero Shoes Prio for certain activities due to their reworked upper construction.
I think if you're a cross-training focused athlete and love barefoot shoes, then this is a great model to grab and train in with these style of sessions.
It's also solid for recreational lifters so across the board it does a really great job at supporting a variety of performance needs.
If you have any questions about this model or the Xero Shoes Prio and HFS, drop a comment below or reach out to me personally via Instagram (@jake_boly).

@@thatfitfriend you're welcome and I agree, a true review should have not only the features of the product but also some pros and cons and what benefits it has to the kind of person who would get the most from it. Most reviews on RU-vid seen to be so lacking in the absolute basics of this that I can only assume it's either a fake review (i.e. an advert/promotion disguised as a review) or the person is benefitting from selling it to others, like getting the product for free in return for only saying good things about it. So it's always nice to come across someone genuine and helpful.

Man, solid shoe review. I’m happy zero decided to put out a dedicated cross trainer. Tbh I’ve been gravitating away from my nanos in favor of new balance minimus for pretty much everything at the gym. The 360 sounds like the shoe I’ve been patiently waiting for someone to invent.

Hi, Jake! Thanks for the review! When comparing to my Nike Metcons, while looking from the heel we can see that the profile on the Xero 360 is more rounded than the Metcons where it's more "boxy". The Metcons do feel very stable on lateral movements and I fear that the 360 may "roll" over on that. What are your thoughts on that? Plus, if you have an affiliate link let me know because if I end up purchasing any Xero will be thanks to your videos ;)
@thatfitfriend
@thatfitfriend Год назад
It really depends on the lateral movement you're doing and your mechanics. A lot of barefoot shoes have rounded heel to promote a "barefoot" feel, so folks who say they stink for lateral movement often neglect that the shoe is built like that for a reason. Plus, on most occasions where you're moving laterally you'll generally have a forefoot/midfoot bias for balance/power production. Personally, I didn't have an issue with this, but it is worth noting that switching between the two is a pretty big contrast and can be helpful to remember this when using different styles of shoes. IMO, it can be useful to expose the feet to different environments and move through different ROM demands to build well-rounded strength, especially through the feet (rant done, lol). Don't sweat the affiliate link, btw. If you click through my review, then it helps, but I'd rather you get in shoes that you actually enjoy!

Jake, I'm a subscriber, I'm getting started with Dr Peter Attia-inspired Longevity training- mix of cardio (zone 2) & tabata (zone 5) a couple of times a week, and strength/stability training a few times a week (lower 2 x; upper 1x or so), I'm just past 70 yrs. & in good shape but want to work on delaying atrophy of twitch 2 fiber muscles..... No crossfit for me. So, never did barefoot before, but let me say that 2 years since you released this vid, the Xero Prio is now less --$90, and these Xero 360 are more-- $120. I didn't quite capture the diff between them that you pointed out in this video, just wondering which of these 2 models you would recommend to me, pls include price and walking around comfort as factors. Thx.

@Jake | That Fit Friend Thanks so much for this thorough review! One question I have is about the durability when descending a rope. I see you utilized the "Spanish Wrap" when ascending a rope... I use the "J-Hook" (if you're familiar) and when descending this can generate quite a bit of friction on the underside of the shoe, depending on speed. I have had new shoes literally fall apart in one decent, as the rubber on the bottom side get completely burned through... Anyway if you know anything about how this shoe would handle descents using the "J-Hook" I would really appreciate your smarts! With thanks and respect!
@thatfitfriend
@thatfitfriend Год назад
It's okay at best...better than other barefoot shoes, but not bombproof. I would say to try and be conscious of your descent with this model if you're super reliant on your shoes and want them to last. Mine have held up decently well with rope climbs that are programmed here and there in my blocks, but I'm not confident in these enough to say these will be perfect and last forever, so to speak! Hope that helps! I s-wrap and J-hook all shoes I test these days, btw!

Thanks for the review, Jake! As someone who has been transitioning to more barefoot style shoes, I will say I was very hesitant to do so in "the gym" as I thought I would need more stability for recreational olympic lifting, etc. Turns out, I don't miss it that much. Before the 360s, I was using the React Metcon almost exclusively with Nano 9s and Anta Weightlifters sprinkled in the rest of the time. It was a very odd feeling at first to have so much toe splay, but think it would be hard to go back at this point. Only negative thing I can really say about them, and admittedly this is completely subjective, not a huge fan of the looks. It's something about the toe. It comes up so high, it just looks off to me. I only use these as gym shoes, so while Iooks aren't paramount, I just don't think they are that good looking. Thanks again!
