My customer has a C405 with the corresponding error, but the magenta is writing, so I know the ROS "laser" is working as the calibration squares were on the belt, magenta was a bit on the lighter side. I suspect a clogged auger system. I will replace the offending magenta dispenser assembly. A bit of disassembly, but I was halfway there when I diagnosed the device. Was going to use my toner vac on it but decided to replace it instead. Thanks for the video!
Hello I also have the C405 Printer and it has now decided to print black in a light gray . I replaced the drum thinking it may be the issue and it started to print correctly. Until about a month ago, now it only prints in a light grey print on black and whit only mode, no toner saver mode, paper type is still the same as it was, removing and reinstalling the toner cart was not the issure, remove and reseated the drum, not the issue. So I am thinking that the toner is not dispensing correctly and being channeled down to the drum like it is clogged or has a blockage of some sort. Any Ideas? Thanks
I just had a Magenta toner error, put it in my can, ran a couple more calls, drove home and plugged it in. It worked. From now on, I will always take these errors for a car ride before breaking them down.
