Hinata the one with the platinum blonde hair is half korean half japanese. Either her father or mother is full blooded but raised in Japan. Shes stated in an interview that both her grandparents were born in South Korea.
Thanks for the XG reaction! while there are haters out there, it’s a rather big thing to actually hate any group. I may not like every group, but I definitely don’t hate any of them or even their fans. We should all follow XG’s example and try spreading love in the world. Japanese are usually terrible in English 😂.. unless they went to an international school. This just shows you how hard they've worked with their English pronunciation and korean too. Their CEO and producer Jakops former DMTN idol is half japanese and half korean just like Hinata.
Thanks for reacting to XG it feel so good seeing korean people reacting to XG in a positive way cause these girls are hated in S.korea. Sooner or later, the comment section will be filled with hatred toward these girls by Korean.. i already see one and he's the first comment. But despite all the hate, XG is shining and proving that talents and hard work is paying off. I could be wrong but on my research XG is under XGALX. It parent Company is AVEX not SM.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. We carefully review numerous new songs and select the ones we like, and XG was one of them. I believe it will take some time for them to gain popularity in Korea. I mentioned SM in comparison to Avex 😀
No hate, but just wonder. Has XG acknowledged themselves as KPOP artists? No, they have not. They have explicitly stated that they are not part of the KPOP genre. Despite incorporating all the elements typically found in KPOP (trained in Korea, sung in Korean, interview with Korean language, etc) they officially deny being classified as KPOP, which creates a contradictory attitude. Don't you think that this duality has caused unease among some fans as they reject the KPOP label while still taking advantage of "KPOP" name value? (They used to input "KPOP" in their tag)
하도 XG에 대한 논란이 많아서 조금 찾아봤다. 벌써 연습생때부터 서울에서 합숙하며 트레이닝을 했고, 방송에서 다른 kpop노래에 춤을 맞춰서 추기도 하고, 한국말로 인터뷰도 할 정도로 한국어도 곧잘 하더라. 말이나 태도는 즉흥적으로 바꾸기 쉽다. 하지만 한국에서 살며 한국음악을 들으며 한국어를 공부했다는 것은 시간이 걸려 축적된 사실이다. 어느 쪽에 더 비중을 두느냐는 개인의 선택이지만, 있는 그대로의 사실을 있는 그대로 인정할 필요도 있다. K-pop의 플랫폼을 이용하려고 한다는 시선이 있다. 하지만 관점을 조금만 바꾸면 그만큼 전세계 뮤직비즈니스에서 k-pop scene이 메이저리그의 위상을 가지게 되었다는 현실로 받아들일 수도 있다. 미국의 팝시장에 다른나라 뮤지션이 거점을 두고 활동을 할 때, 저 이방인이 우리 나라의 플랫폼을 이용하려고 드는구나!라고 화를 내는 미국인이 얼마나 있을까. 미국 메이저리그에 진출한 한국인 선수를 보며, 대부분의 미국팬들은 저 선수는 큰 무대에서 포부를 펼치기위해 외국까지 와서 노력하는 사람이라고 기특하게 생각하지 않을까. 이미 전세계 작곡가, 프로듀서, 안무가들이 K-pop의 플랫폼 안에서 활동하며 k-pop의 질적,양적 수준의 향상에 공헌하고 있다. 앞으로 XG뿐만 아니라 아시아, 유럽, 미국 등 전세계 각국 출신의 아이돌이 한국에 와서 생활하며 K-pop scene에서 활동하는 케이스가 점점 늘어날 것이다. 그를 통해서 K-pop의 음악적 다양성은 더 향상될 것이고, 그들의 존재 자체가 K-pop 플랫폼의 메이저리그로서의 위상을 증명하는 근거가 되는 것이다. 혹시 XG가 전 세계적으로 성공하면 일본인이나 일본미디어가 jpop의 우수성이 입증됐다고 떠들어댈까봐 걱정하는 한국인이 있을지 모르겠는데, 이미 알만한 일본인들은 XG가 한국에서 살며 한국에서 활동하기 시작한 순간, j-pop의 범주에서 벗어났다는 걸 인식하고 있다. As an older American the Pop genre has and will always be a universal genre. I love ❤️ listening to many genres of International Pop. I see and view International Music differently and I’m old enough to have seen the popularity of various genres of music come and go since the 70’s til now. XG has set a high standard. I hope the TOXIC fandoms and you and I know exactly WHO THEY ARE don’t believe WE DON’T SEE and NOTICE THEM. ☺️😉🙆🏻♀️🇺🇸

Avex supported SM to open the door to the world as their first step, to Japan with doing BoA’s management and co-found SM JAPAN. Still now Avex managed SM artists with Japanese original EPs and promotion in Japan. And also with YG, not only managing YG artists in Japan, they co-found a label, YGEX. So they are not family but relative vibe…?

xg가 싫은 이유 1. 우리나라 프로듀서. 댄스팀도 함께하고 한국 음방도 나오면서 k팝이 아니라고 합니다. 2. 인터뷰에서 좋아하는 k팝 가수는 없답니다. ᆢ그런데 우리나란 왜 온건지ᆢ 3. 그런데 음악적으로 j팝이 아니라 k팝으로 분류되길 원합니다. 이런팀을 왜 빨아줘야하나요??? 돈을 엄청뿌리는지 리액션 바이럴 오지게합니다. 해외에선 k팝으로 소개 지들은 k부정 ᆢ그냥 우리랑 연관짓지 않았음 좋겠네요.
Korean can go to US and Japan base there and debut there but once a non Korean group base and debut in S.korea, korean kpop fans xenophobic start to drip out showing their true color.

They are being honest, their music is not confined to only a K-Pop. The team behind XG is comprised of multi national members in Korea and oversees. The behind the scenes shows the origins of some of the songs and how it was first produced in ATL. If you boil it down its just good music, should it matter what genre it’s classified as? Point 2. That's a silly thing to be mad about. Part 3. Again maybe due to translation but i dont think XG has ever asked to be classified as k-pop. To sum it up, i disagree with many k-pop Stan's gatekeeping. Because if you want to have that energy towards XG then what stops foreigners from gatekeeping and hating on k-pop because it's sampling foreign music genre's, sampling lyrics, using foreign writers, producers and using their platform to promote it too. @@AlexM3904 don't waste your time dude, people like this one make all Koreans look bad. Kpop uses choreographers like Kiel Tutin, Renan, Sienna Lalau, and others that are not Korean. Most of the song writers for Kpop are Europeans, and some Americans. XG listens to a wide variety of artist not only americans but Koreans and Japanese also. The OP 2nd reason is the most self-centered one of them all. Harvey got a lot of hate for it because she was asked who her role model was and she said my mom. If you know Harvey she has always mentioned her mom in her verses. She is her role model, Knetz wanted her to mentioned a Korean artist instead. If you wanted them to name a Korean artist the question should have been more direct like "who are some Korean artist you like or look up to? " that is a more direct question. At this point the haters and antis just keep coming up with lies, like when they said XG promoted as being part of YG which they never did. The clown ass fans of YG who think anyone that walks into that building is a trainee, thought XG was Baemon when they were using their training facilities. They started that rumor and not XG and of course there are way more lies... its ok though don't pay attention to the haters anymore and just enjoin XG because they are breaking barriers and the idol stereotype like the said.
Okay, new subscriber here, because you cracked me up when you said, "We support them half and half". LOL I'm an American born and raised in Oklahoma and the humor hit me full force. Well, I hope it was good humor. haha. I don't know a ton about the Korean and Japanese cultures, but I have a ton of respect for them. I also have a ton of respect for XG because I know these young ladies put 5 years of blood, sweat and tears into becoming who they are, with the help of Simon and many other talents. But their talent is so unbelievable!!!! I only first knew them about 3 weeks ago, and I haven't been able to keep them off of my mind. Their music replays in my head constantly.
