There's one very glaring design flaw. The ports are above the heat vent. Cables plugged in will naturally droop down and over time will get cooked and stiffen. Anyone whose owned a projector knows these vents get very hot. The newer XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro has ports below it.
I agree that the ports should be on the bottom. But, I've had an original halo since January 2020 and never has the air coming out of the vent been warmer than my hand. All cables are perfectly fine since day one. It's an LED bulb and just doesn't get hot like the old style bulbs.
can i use this to play xbox? & what about watching amazon prime movies & disney plus? - how would i go around doing all of that? - it not is there a projector as good as this one that you would recommend instead?
Awesome review. Torn between this model for camping use, but unsure if it's bright enough for use in a camper, that'll be shaded during the day?? The Horizon 1080p looks amazing and much better value, and doesn't look too much much larger, thou is it fragile for outdoors use, or is it the same in terms of robustness as the Halo plus? Can with handle general outdoors, heat, humidity, etc... Cheers
Will somebody talk about the pronounced green tint when you set the projector in performance mode? I watched a lot of reviews and no one talks about it. I bought one recently and this is very annoying, does anybody knows how to fix this? I asked XGIMI and they said they weren’t aware of this problem, altought I see everybody have it. Can someone advise on this? Thanks.
Hello, great video. The last Halo only had VERTICAL Keystone correction, seems this Plus one has both vertical AND horizontal keystone correction? Also, you mention the horizon was better, but the cheaper horizon only has Vertical correction, correct? Thanks!
I had that epson. Sound was incredible. Design was incredible - nicest looking/feeling projector I've ever owned. BUT, the image was seriously underwhelming. "Flat" is the word I'd use, on any setting or calibration. Sent it back.
Im thinking of getting this for an outdoor bar area - but it will be sat an inside covered area as will the screen. Will this do the job in your opinion ? I have no experience with projectors at all by the way. I dont wanna go to crazy on price but not cheap either. Thanks in advance.
For an outdoor area with some ambient lights on, you at least need 1500 lumens. Your best bet would be to get the Xgimi Horizon which has 2200 ANSI lumens. The 900 on this portable projector will be too dim for your viewing.
Is there a better alternative to this, image quality wise, that keeps all the bells and whistles (HDR+, low input lag, 60hz or more) on a similar price range?
@@Techtablets its dmd chip is 540p but uses pixelshift to get to 1080p its a trick thats exist for few years now same with 4k projector under 3k € those have 1080p dmd chip with 4k pixelshift i have one and image is bit sharper then 1080p without pixelshift/xpr but definitely not 100% 4k sharpness
Here is the suggestion I got from Xgimi service team. There are two ways to enjoy Netflix on our product. 1) We recommend you use TV Stick to start Netflix. 2) Without a TV Stick, follow these steps to install Netflix: un. Download "Desktopmanager" (no spaces between words) from the Google Play Store. B. Install Netflix in Desktopmanager (Note: If you downloaded NETFLIX directly from the Google Play Store, uninstall it first. Also, NEVER update the NETFLIX app you just downloaded. To ensure a better viewing experience, please adjust the screensaver configuration (2 hours).
