The new XHorse Max Pro adds CAS3+ and TPMS. I have no need for the BMW programming myself, but it does look like a nice unit. I had a Mobile Key Programmer stop by a few days ago to diagnose a no crank. Turned out to be a bad Immobilizer module. He was using and older XHorse Key Tool in combination with a Autel Tablet( not sure which one).
Thank you for demonstrating. I wanted to start key programming and renewing Japanese hybrid vehicle remotes. Would you recommend the Autel km100 or the Xhorse VVdi max tool pro for this application? What would you recommend me to read/watch to improve my skills in this field
Hi, maybe the vvdi pro version will have support like FT-OBD at last for toyota will work ft-obd by xhorse. I made with both tools some Japanese brands (~2010 year of made ). For new cars this tools are like mid class. Personally i use them to generate xhorse / autel remotes and chips the programming part i do it with obdstar and autel im508. When you do keys you need more then 1 tool.
Thank you for your detailed explanation and for sharing your wisdom on your channel. I learned a lot from your channel, and I really appreciate your efforts. I'm looking forward to watching all of your videos on your channel, as well as any future videos. I was wondering if there is any kind of course I could take to obtain some sort of certification. What would you like to suggest? @@UnixCoDElectronics
To program keys and to be efficient at it you will need multiple Programmers you will find some programmers will get the pin code you need and not program the key and some will program the key but not get the pin probably need at least five different programmers
Merci d'avance
Great video! Thinking about getting a KM100, how hard it is to add a new transponder key and remote for older toyota and mazda, say 2005-2010 model year? do I need any other tools? thanks
Opinions please Im struggling on a decision I'm starting to learn into keys with vehicles practicing on all my own and researching i have been using the xtool pad 3 hasnt let me down yet except for pulling pin on a kia, im based in uk. I also find it can be a pain with knowing all the chips, sometimes them not being right ones on cars that's on change over year, so was interested in the xhorse keytool max with superchips and cloning keys. Then I see the autel and i also like the look of that to now. I'm not sure what todo, whether to get the autel km100 and just get a vvdi mini key tool, or do I just go for the xhorse keytool max. I wouldn't attempt to work on expensive vehicles that takes skill untill well experienced.
My advice regarding your problem, Get the Mini Key tool - its required to can work with SuperChip and to can use basic VVDI remotes, Autel KM100 as backup for your PAD3 ( where the pad it`s failing ). Also have in mind KD Device for remotes ( in some brans its way more stable then Xhorse ) Then stop to invest in entry level tools, save money and target direcly High-End if you are going to do keys. Tools like Autel IM608/508II with XP400 Programmer, Key Tools Plus - will cover VAG, BENZ, BMW also OBDStar its quite good, Lonsdor ( Volvo & JLR ), ACDP on high end cars and so on. You will never can stay with 1-2 decives. always need to invest.
For Smart Keys its Autel KM100, for older models its Xhorse Key Tool Max. My advice its work on newer models ( Smart Keys ) get more powerfull tools. This are entry/mid level tools. 500USD tool will not make same things as top tools.
Hi, deppend of what brands you target to work, but both are low level regarding key programming from my point of view. I’m not using as my main tools regarding key programming.
We have vvdi key tool max nd max pro and km 100 in simple and short if you have mostly clients with amarican and German brand vehicle then u should buy km 100 or if you have mostly Japanese like toyota lexus nisan mitsubishi honda and korean hyundai or kia then i recommended you key tool max pro you won't disappointed 👍
@@nicholashenry5015 km its also good product but its preferable to German and usa vehicles mostly. And they mostly smart key remote not like xhorse just check about keytool max pro
Hello, none of this tools are able to supply key cutting codes, and except from few bmw and opel cars(old models) the key cutting cannot get with obd readers. You need lishi or any similar tools
In a round about way, yes. There are certain numbers which can be retrieved using these tools. From these numbers you can apply an algorithm and get the key code. This is of course redundant if the key has been changed since factory.
Hi, short answer it`s hard, you need, to pre-code with Xhorse, you cannot reset them with Autel. Check this video : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3cZt8RVTdrg.html
Hello, short answer it is working. My advice don`t do it if you don`t have a backup tool. In general KM100 its not a professional tool and don`t provide ways to recover
It’s doing also BMW but i would not say is the BEST, dedicated tools for bmw are best VVDI Bimtool or cgdi bmw or any other dedicated tool. Autel can procode own keys to bmw key model.
Hi, first tool i had obdstar and my main tool is obdstar i use autel as backup tool, but deppend on what barnds you are working and i not use obdstar for VAG, MB, BMW - have dedicated tools. If you are beginer autel is more guided and easy to do keys also doing diagnostic.

Had you bricked one? Why and how (not whant to be in that position)? No power supply or what? That thing I would not be in.,,, costly and all $$ is gone for one car. We make keys but not a lot of them. Luckily no BMW or MB yet. That is why I try to lean about these bastards. Had one Vag , one time, that took an hour to fix. Constantly read error, but finally fixed. Phuu! Else (with Autel IM508) others have worked almost worked like a clock. It is not just not to plug in an play, you need to have some experience in the baggage, keep calm and trust in the instruments. A lottery, yes. But whom else would do it? Cloning is so much more safe to do.
Verified Purchase Absolute garbage. Made the ECU go haywire, had to hire a locksmith to finish the job, and ultimately replace the ECU. The tool simply died within a few months after I bought it as well. Fully charged and finally got it to boot back up but it suddenly died again. Cheap garbage. This tool will wind up costing you much more in the long run. @@oluwaseun3771 Yeah. I trust Autel more than others brands. But if that is a truth or not, I don't know, just a feeling. But just say you can brick a car is a bit wague, and pin-point to a special company on very loose grounds. But to say any instrument can brick a car is more the truth, and I belive that happened. And yes, he had some very good experiences to learn from.
did some research: cheap universal tools will work until a sudden glitch happens in modern cars that can lead to a deadlock which even dealers can not fix the car will become a brick, and you will pay not only for the car, but for the losses caused by that car not being operational obviously Autel will NOT know you, thou legally they are at fault there are proven and tested tools like AD Smart Pro @@kimnilsson7501
