Chinese President Xi Jinping gifted Chinese translations of French novels to President Emmanuel Macron while visiting Paris as he urged his French counterpart to uphold "independence" and fend off a "new Cold War".
There is no competition. Who can compete with subsidized state owned enterprises that produce sub par crap? There are no equals in China's eyes. The world isn't stupid.
now europeans and americans suddenly don't want free market anymore trying to prevent chinese goods, when china was poor chinese people just keep their heads down and work hard
Who wants "independence"? - The vast majority? Who wants a "new Cold War"? - Very few? Who wants more choices? - The vast majority? Who brings more choices? - A "multipolar world". Multi-polar checks and balances give third parties more choices and rights.
@@doujinflip Wars often occur because one polar wants to destroy the other polars in pursuit of absolute hegemony. When the fierce collision between the two polars will inevitably lead to the third party taking advantage, it can effectively curb the fierce collision. Similarly, in the physical world, single/double-point support is unstable; support at more than three points is stable. In human society, one authority that cannot be peacefully competed for and chosen by the majority is unreasonable.
@@doujinflip That was before the international rules were made. Times have changed so past precedents are clues but not laws. And it is also impossible to stop the world from becoming multi-polar as equity will be achieved. I know the UN is stupid but if its powers are enhanced and properly regulated, multi-polarity can be sustained easily. It is actually the better thing to happen.
It is in the interest of both parties to improve bi-lateral ties and trade. It is win win for both parties. But the West always see its relationship with the Global South from a position of strength and superiority. Is this mindset grounded in reality today?
Rubbish, improving bi-lateral ties and trade, will only increase the trade imbalance, giving China an even greater trade surplus, sucking jobs out of Europe. That trade surplus China enjoys, funds their technological and military power
When i read Xi courts Europe i sense this channel is sending wrong interpretation, their leaders, Serbia German Hungary and France already visited XI in China, it's time to visit them back as a diplomatic approach, for trust and relationship! Such a legitimate channel yet discriminate... Disgusting!
The US is like a woodland firefighter: ironically the main weapon is also fire, but it’s used as backburns to contain and mitigate far more deadly conflagrations - those smoldering embers of underlying regional conflicts are still there whether Americans are too or not.
(Live: Special coverage of President Xi's arrival in Serbia) China is building a high speed rail from Belgrade to Budapest, which was part of the Oriental Express, which will eventually reach the Greek port of Piraeus. China's BYD will be building a plant in Hungary near the railway line to produce their EV cars. That is what is called a win-win cooperation.
wth are you making a beef of the books gift . Exchange of gifts is a diplomatic norm .The choice of Xi books gift makes meaningful sense if you know macron had previously gifted Xi a book of Confuscius teachings translated into french by a french philosopher
French has be neutral, don’t need Nato for Hegemoni, Join BRICH to entering Huge Market, Invest in Asia which will be the Next EU in 2050 ! Come to ASIA and business in ASIA, not USA or in EU Market only
(Exclusive With Hungarian FM Péter Szijjártó) Chinese President Xi Jinping is to pay a state visit to Hungary from May 8 to 10 as both countries mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties. With at least 16 bilateral agreements being slated ahead of Xi's visit, relations face important new opportunities and will be pushed to a higher level. CMG's Zou Yun sat down with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó to discuss Hungary's economic, trade and cultural ties with China as well as flagship projects under construction such as the China-built Belgrade-Budapest railway. "We are great fans of the Belt and Road Initiative," Szijjártó said, saying that Hungary adopts an independent policy and refutes the concept of "de-risking" with China bandied about in the West. Szijjártó also looks forward to reaping the dividends of the China-Hungary partnership on EVs and green technology and 👉rejects the allegations about China's "overcapacity."

If he or they ( ccp ) wants to speak in chinese then they ( ccp So called ministers and Officials ) Must wear Traditional Ancient Emperor clothings so that they can speak in chinese..Lol🤣😂😅
Desperate attempt by the CCP’s crude diplomacy to divide EU unity and undermine French - US strategic bond has failed miserably. EU has learnt to distrust the CCP first then verify its actions, not rhetoric.
CPC not ccp . Looks like you are desperate to disparage Xi i for reciprocating macron visit to Beijing last yr . Another spoiler reminder to you . Macron brought the largest ever business delegation with him on his trip to Beijing last year. The delegation comprised of nearly all the major french business top leaders.
Relax bruh. France is neutral and not rabid anti China like UK. They have always been opened to improving their trade ties with China. Nothing to do with US/ EU alliance. Xi is going next to EU member Hungary, China's closest EU ally along with non EU Serbia.
France always views itself different from other European countries, one reason being that it's an ex-great power (France is one of the 5 exclusive permanent members of the Security Council in the UN). For the EU, I think it's France that they need to watch out for.
To normalize relationships with the EU 🇪🇺, China needs to: - cancel the "No Limits" agreement with Russia, - stop undermining EU sanctions against Russia, - talk with Taiwan president Lai Ching-te on an equal basis, - open independently a study into Wuhan pandemic, *- stop atrocity of Tibetans and Uyghurs,* - obey the Hague Tribunal 2016's decision on the SCS, - Leave European intellectual properties alone, and *- stop unfair overcapacity exports to EU.*
Make no mistake, China is the rising power while Europe is a declining one. So I don't think France of Europe is in any position to dictate China around lol.
