787's could be my favorite and Xiamen, specifically, is my favorite long-haul to SE Asia. Problem I continually have with the 787 is the crew's inability to leave the windows alone! EVERY 787 I've even flown for more than four or five hours has had its windows darkened soon after take-off. The worst was a flight out of Dallas/Fort Worth. We took off about noon in Central Time Zone. As you're aware, we LOSE time going east to west (noon in DFW is 11:00 in Mountain (PHX,) 10:00 in Pacific (LAX.) However, after a meal service and about 1½ hours into the flight, the crew blacked the windows out and dimmed the lights, leaving us to languish in what was about as inviting as a noisy coffin for the next 10 hours. SO, I'll take an A350, with its similar pressurization, any day of the week.
