We loved all the food we had on Muslim Street in Xian, the Chinese Hamburger (Rou Jia Mo) was one of our favourite things we had in the whole of China. I have written a FREE China Guide Book PDF with all our tips, tricks, best hotels, places to visit and more, you can download it here: bit.ly/4d8D23t
Muslims and Han people in China have lived together for more than a thousand years.Life and diet interact and merge. Muslims in China today cook very unique and delicious halal food.
Respect❤
Pretty much every single foreign tourist in Xi'an tries the famous Chinese hamburger, also known as Roujiamo (Roger Moore), and it never fails to impress.
What an incredible adventure in Xi’an! Watching you and your children explore the ancient city was heartwarming. The way you guys enjoyed the vibrant street food was so inspiring❤ Keep creating these wonderful memories and sharing them with us!
Hi foreign Muslim friends, please remember this 2 Chinese letters "清真" which means Halal food, that they all have the green color. If you are not sure if the food is Halal or not, please copy this "清真" on your phone and show them to your interested restaurant. Because in some area of China, the Muslim people are not wearing as the majority stereotype, so you can not distinguish Halal or non Halal food by hijab and white hat. By the way, Xi`an has the most ancient Mosque in China which is still older than most Mosque all around the word, because the Chinese had 2-way trade with "Da Shi (大食国, tranlation directly from the pronounce 'Tazi' by Farsi, which is the first unique Arab Empire also named Caliphate)" 1200 years ago in Tang Dinasty.
Greetings from Shanghai China. I like watching your videos traveling in China with your kids. Holly is pretty, and I like Matthew more, he is so cute! Cannot wait to watch your next video soon! One video in a week is not enough already haha
We stayed in exactly the same hotel you stayed (I even doubted we were assigned the same room😂); we walked exactly on the same streets you walked. Thank you for bringing the memories back to us!!
Xian first became the capital in 1046 BC (West-Zhou dynasty). About the first emperor: his family name was "Ying", his first name was "Zheng". The trouble with your Alipay seemed to be quickly resolved. Hope that you feel relaxed then. Enjoy your stay in Xian. My best wishes to you and your family.
Mark, I’m starting to watch your earliest videos from more than ten years ago. I feel deeply that your life is like watching you from another angle. There are many things about your life that attract me. At the same time, I also have a lot of questions about you, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to continue watching. I will continue to watch your previous videos to get to know you better.
The potato-like thing is called LiangFen. It is made of pea starch. It is usually eaten with spices in summer. It is not common to bake it on an iron plate.Enjoy travel!
thanks for the great content Mark! hope Holly knows that the people staring/taking photos have good intentions and probably just find her adorable haha. Looking forward to the Terracotta Warriors vlog and hope you have a safe and smooth rest of your trip with your children 😊
The next video at the Terracotta Warriors looks like it will be about an hour long and I am still editing it now, will hopefully be published same time next week.
answer the question at the eight-minute mark in the vide: Osmanthus Cake is a traditional Chinese snack with a history of over 300 years. It is made from glutinous rice flour, sugar, and osmanthus honey. The taste is sweet and delicious, characterized by a rich fragrance of osmanthus flowers.
You are a great father, with healthy food that children enjoy eating. It's great. Those two types of pastries are made from vegetables and have a relatively average taste. I suggest you go to an independent store to taste it, as the taste will be much better than roadside stalls.
Welcome to the Chinese "Capital of dough", even though the main street of that area is not the best place to go, but good enough for a first time visitor without too much time to dig into the real good places, Rou Jia Mo is also my daughter's favorite, last time we took them back there, they would like to have it every day.
