Tears begin to gather in your eyes, the sudden sadness of missing your world entering you like a storm. You didn’t want to let out your emotions like this, you thought you were used to missing you world. You knew that it would take lots of time to get back to it deep down, and yet that didn’t mean that it didn’t hurt. Didn’t mean that when you saw families your heart didn’t break, that when you saw landscapes that looked like your native land you didn’t cry. Wiping away your tears with your fingers, you felt a pair of amber eyes staring at you with a piercing gaze. Timidly you looked to the side. “Are you okay?” Xiao asked, a worried look in his eyes as he held his hand against the top of your shaking shoulder. He watched you silently, his eyebrows furrowed slightly as he looked at your form, struggling to stop your tears from overflowing. “Me? Oh… yeah, I’m fine. It’s just the scenery reminds me of my home” you muttered looking downwards, staring at your reflection in the lake around you. Your puffy cheeks and reddish eyes didn’t help your defense. “How so?” “Where I’m from….there was a film that included a lantern ritual just like this. It consisted of a princess finding her way back home. I watched it as a kid, and I remembered how happy I would get watching as she sang about her happiness. It just… reminds me of my parents who actually showed me the film…” you sighed, trying hard to fight your tears once more, truly it was a loosing battle. “Hey…” he whispered “You’ll get home eventually, just don’t worry too much about it..” “I see Lumine has taught you a lot” you chuckled holding onto yourself as you looked down, silent tears streaming down your face as the ache entered your heart, as you longed to return to your home, to be in the loving arms of your parents. He stayed silent, not wanting to ruin your mood in anyway. Although against all logic or reason he’s soon found himself wrapping his arms around you, pulling you closer towards him as audible sobs escaped your lips. You let out everything, your worries about never going back to your house, the fear that you lived daily of the fact that you might die here alone, the way everything around you reminded you of your family, of your friends, of the things you quite possibly lost. “As long as I’m here” he stated while wiping your tears away, “You won’t ever be alone”… You felt a thin pair of lips press against your forehead, in addition to feeling his rapid heartbeat as he looked away. You soon found yourself cuddled to the crook of his neck, finding comfort in the one you least guessed. Xiao understood the pain of losing a loved one, what he didn’t understand was the fluttering feeling in his heart. (Note: I am a bit late 😅)

Since a lot of people are doing POV's I'll try my hand at it- You had been dealing with daily commissions, day after day with no breaks, with seldom any sleep. Paimon kept on telling you to sleep but honestly, that annoyingly squeaky voice of hers, was just making it more difficult. After clearing another Hillichirl camp, with a bit of reluctance, due to you now knowing their origins, you go up to Katheryn to gather your rewards. After a while of wondering to try and find something to do, your head starts to throb with a pain worse than being hit by an abyss lector. You hold your head to try and ease the pain, though you know it's in vain. After a while, the pain starts to subside, but it's still at the forefront of your mind, not being forgotten. You call Paimon to go get some apples, not caring about her complaining at the moment, when she's out of sight, you call upon the one other person who will show at the slight of the hand, Xiao. Soon after he appears he immediately starts asking if you're okay, trying not to touch you in case he would somehow make the pain worse by doing so. When you give him to go ahead he instantly hugs you, trying to soothe the pains he can't help. When you feel something wet roll down your face you immediately look up to see if it's raining or if it's your own tears, when you see it's not indeed raining, you bring your hand up to your face to touch the trails they've left behind. When Xiao notices that you've started crying he starts to mildly panic, not knowing what had caused this, so when he asks all you respond with is an indecisive hum, as you too, don't know what had caused the sudden tears. When he stops panicking and starts focusing on comforting you, you realize why you had started crying. It was because, before this, you couldn't remember the last time you had physical interactions with anyone, couldn't remember the last time someone had cared when you had fallen to your knees, unable to get up. It was because you couldn't remember the last time someone had cared about you as a person and not their messenger or their errand person. The realization makes you cry, even more, knowing that the person who is caring for you now is someone who most likely went through the same things you were now experiencing. When Paimon returns the next morning with a basket of apples in hand to see Traveler passed out in the arms of an equally passed out Xiao, she doesn't say anything.

OK! This is just my idea of a POV that I thought of when I immediately heard this playlist… WARNING: Spoilers because this POV happens after the story “We Will be Reunited” “hey, Paimon… Can you leave me for a bit… I want to be alone…” Lumine said; “Are you sure?” Paimon replied. “Yeah…” Lumine said as she showed a sad smile; “ok, I’ll be at Xiangling’s when you need me ok?” Paimon said as she floated (?) away from her. ‘What the hell Aether, I thought that home was when we were together. Why didn’t you let me come with you? Why did you leave me?’ She thought as she started running and crying. Lumine felt tired and sat down and leaned against a tree, still crying from all her previous thoughts running to her mind. Xiao was going around Liyue when he suddenly saw Lumine leaning on the tree crying. “Lumine?” Xiao whispered as he started to walk closer to her; “oh… hey Xiao” Lumine answered with a raspy voice. “Tell me what happened.” Xiao exclaimed; Lumine started venting to Xiao everything that happened cling to him as she started asking questions like “Am I not good enough anymore?”, “Why did he leave me?” or “Does he not love me anymore?”. Xiao can tell that Lumine was both emotionally and physically exhausted and let her vent and cry on him until he started to notice that the sobbing turned into sniffles and into slow breathing. He looked down to see her sleeping peacefully in his arms. He tried not to move as much and used too much force in hugging her in fear of hurting her. They stayed there hugging and basking in a quiet and peaceful night. "‘don’t worry… I’ll protect you…”

I just imagined this while listening to the first song. I wanna share my imagination with you but I'm not that good with words. POV: You, the traveller, had been feeling exhausted with commissions and finding your brother to the point that you seriously need a break but felt like you can't. You are almost to your breaking point. The lone yaksha, Xiao, had been observing you for quite a while even in the shadows. One day in the wheat field of Qingce village, you had found yourself about to lose balance and fall. However, you didn't hit the ground as you felt strong and secure arms catch you. With his raspy voice, he said "You need rest. There's nothing more beneficial than you getting rest right now. You can't go on your journey like this." After that, he sat you down in his lap, continuously holding you. The peaceful breeze and the short privacy of the wheat field calmed you and eased your tension. Soon enough, you felt drowsiness slowly creep up on you as you felt safe in Xiao's embrace. He held you like you were fragile and guarded you as you slept in his arms in sincerity.
