@@imran_icon No, got the device 3 days back. It's really good. From haptic to sound from streo speakers everything is the best among the best. I was worried about the display brightness when I compared with s24 &s23 but brightness goes higher in auto + sun brightness. Just got for it. Get the recent manufacturing month, I got may manufactured phone.
@@_Funonwheels Almost same: I'm really confused between these 2 phones: Xiaomi 14 or Pixel 8. My main priority is the camera and secondary is battery backup. Any suggestions please!
@@Jobin.Thomas Pixel is a great phone. But in India pixel isn't a good option. The service support is miniscule. Camera is good but it's oversharpens images also no telephoto lens. You will have no reason to worry with xiaomi 14 battery backup, its even better than my budget phone big battery and cheap processor. You always have powerful charger and 10 mins of charge will keep it rolling. Camera is really good, even the videos at night are excellent, the camera tries it's best to reduce noise and it works well. I would say xiaomi 14 is a better alrounder compared to pixel, from build quality, camera, ui fluidity, sd 8gen3, battery backup, compact size. There is no camera Lens fogging either, mine is may 2024 manufactured unit and no issues.
This camera is so good I stopped using google camera. Finally!! It's almost as having a professional camera. Not oversharpened, clear detail, exquisite contrast and good color balance. Shooting in RAW in this phone is a game changer. The only thing I don't like is that zoom is not really 3.2 it's actually 2.6 (try changing the zoom manually and you'll notice) but the quality still slayss
Yeah, they use a crop for the zoom. It's just 2.6x optical zoom with a pretty weak sensor which is the worst among any of the Chinese brands at this price. That's the one area they need to improve to match Oppo, Vivo and Oneplus
Bought a Xiaomi 14 a month ago and I've been enjoying it. It was between this, a base S24, and a OnePlus 12, but the size and price of the Xiaomi won me over. The only gripe I have is the very iPhone like notifications bar, and the fact that I can't use Nova launcher anymore if I wanna use gesture navigation. Also some bloatware at first that mostly disappeared when I set my region to US.
Can you tell me how well or badly it manages to photograph moving objects (people/children)? I have the s24 ultra and it doesn't work that well. I also have a Xiaomi 14 lying around, but I haven't unpacked it yet.
For me, it's not rhe best phone to capture a moving subject. I think the iPhone and the Huawei did so much better at capturing a relatively fast moving subject! @@hugopopovic5369
I'm telling ya'll xiaomi has the closest camera to dslr. not iphone and not samsung, you can clearly see how cinematic shots in xiaomi phones specially the 14 and 14 pro. been using xiaomi 14 for half a year and definetly can tell ya'll it has the best portrait of all phones rn.
I switched to X14 a month ago and never looking back! Top performance, good size and battery life(after some weeks battery life gone up to great thx to ai), insane camera setup, lightning fast charging. And to top it all off: I just discovered the phones photo and video editing capabilities which is exceptional. Well done Xiaomi! (Hope I won't get the lens condensation problem when the weather gets colder! XD)
@@_Funonwheels I don't think it does... but it's relative to what you compare to. If S23/24 is the standard you compare to (not Plus or Ultra from those series) I think it's making photos in general much better. The situation with videos are diffrent. In general S24 makes a bit better videos (we'll see how it changes with FW updates, but it is what it is for now) For the exposure: I made Moon pictures with the 3.2x lens in pro mode without the SuperMoon ai function... and I was shocked, that I could make out the Moons' surfaces contour. (of course I had to zoom in on the picture heavily but still) I saw a lot of fake videos on the net about X14, X14 Ultra or X13Tpro's so called Moon zooms and almost all of them are rubbish(fake, unrealisticly good). I know a littlebit of photography on amature level but for a phone, even the level I'm experiencing is amazing cause it's JUST a phone! So if you want a camera with great photography and solid video capability you can't go wrong with Xiaomi, but if you take more videos rather than photos, in my opinion you better choose S24. And there is the question of the ecosystem preference too: do you like Xiaomi's or Samsung's more? It's highly subjective.
@@sulimanaldharrat8731It's fogging like crazy. Tried 4k for one hours and till battery drain. It's manufacturing defect but Xiaomi not taking responsibility. They are garbage company now. Never ordering any Xiaomi product again
For real I left my mirrorless camera at home a lot more because of this beast 😭. It's not at the point that it can replace real cameras but it's like half or two thirds the capabilities of a real camera??? I shoot with a lumix gx8 for reference.
@@chiragmittal6112 I don't think you should buy either. If you really want long usage, buy the OnePlus 12 with 5400 mah battery. Xiaomi 14 ultras battery isnt that great. Xiaomi 14 is good but it's a small phone and the battery could detoriate fast. Samsungs flip is overpriced, slow charging, not so good battery as well etc
Never had foggin lenses on mine. So far I've only seen it a few times on the internet. And it's not a repeating issue, once it goes away it never goes back.
I keep hearing about this "worldwide problem" and have yet to experience it. I've owned my X 14 since launch date. Not saying that it doesn't exist for an unlucky few but lets not exaggerate either.
The most impressive for me is Xiaomi 14 portrait like damn it's definitely sitting at the top of portrait camera phone in the market right now. For me Xiaomi camera are the closest to dslr in phone market.
Watching from Xiaomi 14 Pro ❤❤ Based on your previous review, I decided to buy Xiaomi 14 Series and it was the appropriate decision of my life!! Thank you a lot for your helpful and informative videos!! ❤❤❤❤
@@jmt1989 Do you use third party launcher on android? Like Nova Launcher, Niagara Launcher etc. The issue with hyperOS now is that when you use these third party launchers, you can't use the gestures, and can only use the navigation bar. If you are a user that prefers the navigation bar, this will not be an issue for you! But if you are a user that prefers gestures like me, I would stay away from hyperOS for now as I prefer gestures together with a third party launcher.
A good device. Slightly beaten by the Vivo X100 Pro in total for me. But the compact size I like much more for daily usage. Just the external mic issue with highly processing that sounds super artificial is still there and not fixed since the release last year. Too bad they did not fix it.
I am looking at upgrading my 2 years old Samsung S22 and this video has provided a lot of information to make my next choice a Xiaomi 14. In my list of considerations are the Honor Magic 6 Pro, OnePlus 12 and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Still prefer a compact phone that is comfortable to use with 1 hand.
I purchased my Xiaomi three weeks ago, attracted by its features and reasonable price. However, I’m returning it due to the number of Chinese apps that cannot be removed and pop-ups, which significantly detract from the user experience. Additionally, the phone isn’t fully compatible with all features offered by the T-Mobile network. Is there an English-only version available?
Recently switched from Pixel 6 to Xiaomi 14 Love the camera especially the Leica Authentic look & Portrait modes that it offers but the lens fogging issue is really unacceptable. Photos are also heavily compressed when uploading to Instagram & Tiktok (My Pixel 6 did not have this issue) The worst part is Hyper OS is just full of bugs to the point where I feel like trading it in for a Pixel 8.
Not for me and I live in a temperate climate and the weather has been fluctuating a lot lately. I hate that it has a hard time focusing as the reviewer also said
El Xiaomi 14 es una bestia 2 millones de puntos antutu!! Es más potente que un Samsung s24 ultra y más pequeño y comodo tiene unas cámaras muy buenas lo recomiendo
Xiaomi 14 is awesome just I would love the Quad Curve Display & Variable aperture. Hopefully they include it from Xiaomi 14 Pro to Xiaomi 15 just like Xiaomi 13 Pro to Xiaomi 14 😅😅 InshaAllah Will updating from Honor 8!
Excellent phone, BUT the camera lens fogging made this phone unusable for me, so I had to return it. Even though there are several reports on this, Xiaomi have shrugged this off and claim this is 'within normal tolerance' which is unacceptable for a premium product and this attitude should not be normalised imo. This has left me disappointed, but having been a long term Xiaomi fan I will at least consider future models. I just hope they learn...
About the camera, a lot of people have uploaded videos, posted on the E-commerce site's review section that "this phone's camera is fogging up after some time of usage". I'm planning on buying it, please let me know if it's true or anyone else who have faced this issue.
I bought the phone and it's great. but Their no protection for the ear speaker or the speaker on the top of front camera. is it just like that or my model is missing it?
Extra dim is there but Xiaomi disabled it don't know why but through App "Miui hideen settings" from play Store Can enable it and stay parmanent extra dim shortcut is quick tails even u uninstall app from device
using this phone for a week now. The camera and photos are amazing. The display and speaker are top notch. There are some cons with the phone. 1. HyperOS is still kinda feels slow compared to OneUI. And needs some patch and additional features like option to change screen from FHD to WQHD. It would be also amazing to add 120hz refresh rate on RU-vid when you are using adaptive refresh rate.
Sorry but Hyper OS cannot compare to Origin OS or Funtouch OS in terms of stability and smoothness. Also the portrait mode in the camera is not consistent and natural as Vivo camera. I highly recommend IQOO 12 or Vivo X100 insteads of Xiaomi 14.
@@Yashjonwal8083 I'm from Switzerland so it's gonna be different but the name is "Imak Camera Protector" you can search for it 🙂 Xiaomi 14 Imak Camera Protector 🙂
Hello everyone, I'm really confused between these 2 phones: Xiaomi 14 or Pixel 8. My main priority is the camera and secondary is battery backup. Any suggestions please!
Xiaomi 14 users, have any of you experienced problem in Pro video mode setting, I can not record in 24fps even if it is set to 24. It only works in 24fps when using Movie mode or Video mode 🤔 in Pro mode it always records in 30fps
I've just bought mine, everythings perfect but battery life is weak, I need to charge it twice a day, don't know if something's wrong with it or is it just normal for Xiaomi 14?
I have two issues using this phone. 1. The links in apps are not loading. Not clickable. I had to manually copy and paste in browser to open it. 2. There is no shortcut or real quick way to switch between keyboards. Always needs to visit settings to select the keyboard. For me, it important as I have two different keyboards for two languages. Any suggestion?
Haptics the same as Iphone really? I used this phone for 4 days and i did not have that experience at all. First it just got stuck on the logo after update restart , after that, the camera is not even that good, got blurry photos a lot had to take the same picture 3 times, the software us not great also tries too much. I had to return it. Sadly didnt get the positive experience like most of you
You can activate the extra dim feature through the activity launcher! Didn't know why they hide it that way! It's already built-in but for no reason, we nned to do an extra step just to turn that feature on! 😍
Currently using since 4 weeks. Battery life is very short although I appreciate the fast charge. Hand fingers hurts holding this phone. My previous was bigger , I think either 6.2 or 6.5 or 6.7 Inch phone would have been ideal. This 6.36 size hurts to hold for long periods
Guys I'm experiencing haptic feedback issues, is this just me?. The feedback is good, for sure, but I only get full haptics like volume changes and keyboard haptics when the phone is charging, once I take the charger off, some haptics as listed do not work
Great review! My only concern is the lens condensation issue which might be isolated to the EU market. I am from Australia btw. Also on gsmarena, the grass in the snail photo looks terrible. Not sure if that is typical of photos on this phone bc if so, that's a deal breaker
hey I need help should I get this or the oneplus12. I know that the oneplus12 is better but my hands are too small. I don't mind too big phones but it will be a little uncomfortable. I want good display and software
Rear lens fogging issues politely omitted by the most reviewers stops me from buying this device. All Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra are affected. Moisture inside smartphone isn't good.
I have the same question and was hoping @HoYoungWon would mention it in his video update. I emailed Xiaomi UK and they said --- "Pertaining to the inquiry, the following statement below is the official statement: Lens fogging is a natural phenomenon that causes the camera lens fogging due to the temperature difference between the lens and the surrounding air in some specific use environments. This model supports IP68 waterproof, and the device is highly sealed. In special environments, fogging may occur due to changes in temperature between the inside and outside of the phone. But please rest assured that this is fogging, not water. After the phenomenon disappears, it will not have any impact on the camera function and will not affect the IP68 waterproof performance of the phone." I was just hoping to see what an actual customer using the phone said on the issue as I am still not convinced.
@@_Y_O_K_I_ The problem is that this is Real issue, basically a manufacturer's and design fault. I can't remember any other single phone that had or have it.
Love the phone so far! Battery life has been great, no heating, i only play pokemon unite on it tho 😅. Cameras are really good! Tho im tempted to grab the upcoming xiaomi 15 pro or 14 ultra when the price drops come december 😂
Hello everyone! I would like to ask if the " camera fogging" problem is still present with this phone. Are they going to fix it? or is there any solution like a case or lens protector for this problem? I would like to get a phone like this because I really like it, but I am worried that this problem will occur. Does anyone have any experience? Thanks in advance.

How's the overheating issue? Im considering getting 14 soon, but early reviewers experienced some super heating to maintain the high performance score. (Btw, i use a lot of filming features and my Mix 4 is very buggy for that T.T)
the snapdragon 8 gen 3 (on like all phones with it) has some heat issues, its still smooth though on daily use and wont overheat in normal use either, all phones with it overheated in stress test benchmarks though
The screen looks amazing and I haven't had any of the fogging problems I've read about around (mind I have only used the phone for 2 weeks, but in very cold climates with 0 celsius degrees minimums) and I've had no problems so far. Besides I bought the 1TB version, so top storage with a top (or at least competent) camera for a very nice price when compared to other brands available at my country (Samsung and Apple) The only problem I could note is that the WiFi connectivity is inferior to other phones, so if you are in a very big house, with only one modem/router, you might have trouble connecting to the internet when you are far from the WiFi source.
If your router is dual band 2.4+5GHs make sure they are separate because your phone will try to stay connected to the 5GHs band even if it's a weak signal if it's separate you can manually change between the two
@@hoyoungwon Almost all videos will have people mentioning that. In my case I bought a cover instead of using the one that comes in the box, maybe it's that?
@@nkubkbkuj Yeah, they are separated, I'll try making the phone forget the 5Ghz and see if something changes. It's the only phone where I've had this problem, all the others go straight for the 2.4, even when they know they can try the 5.8 one.
