And I would add that when using the custom 120 hz refresh rate, RU-vid can only be used at 120 hz in this setting. it just has to be set manually. If you set custom 120 hz, a menu will appear with the name Apps using high refresh rate, when you click on it, a list of applications will appear. RU-vid is turned off by default. Therefore, you have to scroll down to the end of the list and turn it on. And it is also possible to change the size of the icons on the home screen
I using Xiaomi 14 pro.. China Rom version. I can't receive message notification once screen OFF. I has been done all setting notification default, however still the same once screen off.

The new AI functions in the default gallery app are pretty amazing (got a ChatGPT-like function for portrait shots), I wouldn't make Google Photos default directly.
I bought this phone and unfortunately it has a lot of things you don't know beforehand: 1) impossible to take photos at 50 mpx by default! You have to go to the photo menu every time, and in the "plus" tab choose 50 mpx. It's just nonsense! 2) You can't use the zoom lever on the professional kit if you choose the 'raw' photo format. This is really very disappointing for a camera of this price that claims to be "professional"!
Take out yr sim tray & put yr phone with dehumidifier in airtight container. Let it be there for an hr or two & then insert yr sim tray back in as fast as you can. That should remove the moisture inside yr phone.
Me too when i first got the phone in my hands. It seems that due to the large camera module and the variable aperture, the ois is disabled when the camera app is not used (the sound goes away when you open the app). The ois must be using some kind of magnet field, which is enabled when you launch the camera app and disabled when you close the app.

@@wouter.d.h. Got the global one. The battery does seem to be draining faster than I would like, however I have enabled a few power hungry things like brightness , best resolution etc... Lasts the day though. I'm hoping it gets better

Leica's input is with the 4 rear camera algorithm just like Google did for their GCam app on the pixel. I'm afraid very little work was done for the selfie cam.
Underwhelmed if I'm honest. Look of the UI in general is fine but its still full of quirks and duplication. Ugly text wrapping on some app names and cant set yhe wallpaper from some 3rd party apps. Gets far warmer than yhe S24 ultra also. Somehow feels less than the sum of its parts. Returning.
Biggest let down is the software. It's looks like a cheap ios knockoff and the software doesn't take advantage of the hardware. They only have one decent camera and it's the primary for the price the others are terrible. Xiaomi just throws on hardware just to have a nice spec sheet.
On the contrary, all the iOS-esque features were in the fact what makes the phone so intuitive despite being an Android phone. I own a Pixel 8 Pro and the notifications drawer is so much superior on the Mi 14 Ultra. Just my 0.02
All iPhones are shit, in terms of animations and functionality they have long lost to Android, with the exception of Samsung, since Samsung has the worst animations among all flagships
