And there's the price difference... I've paid around US$650 for the Xiaomi 14 8GB 256GB in November, which is almost half of what the iPhone 15 Pro 8GB 256GB costs in the US (US$1100), and a third of what it costs where I'm from (US$2050). Given such close results (for me the X14 loses only on night video stabilization, by a small margin), the choice here, personally, is a nobrainer. Been pretty happy with it for these last few months :D Nice video! I too used my X14 extensively at Disney back in December xD
In the UK, the Xiaomi 13 is £850, and the Xiaomi 14 will likely be nearer £900, so the price difference is only £100. Checking on eBay, iPhones have about a £250 advantage in secondhand prices compared to Xiaomi after a year, so net prices make the iPhone an easy choice in the UK. I do not import as there is no International Warranty, and in the UK, we get two years, which is worth >£100 as well. Most of us in the West, Xiaomi is very close in price to Apple.
@@andyH_England In your case, yeah, I agree it is a tougher choice. Here in BR the iPhone is US$2000, like I said before, and there's a high chance the Xiaomi 14 won't even debut here. So I understand sometimes there're just a few options at play. I was already apprehensive to pay over US$600 because I think that's a lot for a phone. So the US$1100~US$1200 (depending on which one you choose) on your end is unthinkable to me. I think both of these phones are definitely not worth that money (even though my experience with the X14 is great). Maybe the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is, but even then, it's a matter of circumstance and how one chooses to spend their money. It's something I'm not willing to pay for a phone, personally. You've mentioned warranty and yeah this is a risk you make when you get an imported phone, but on the other hand, is the warranty really worth US$600? Because you could get the X14 from stores like TradingShenzhen (this is where I got mine from) for almost half the price you'd get in the UK. I got one when I was in France and another for my gf when I was in Portugal, both times it arrived with no issues. Only thing to watch out for is band coverage. Anyway, hope you buy your new phone, whichever it ends up being, and you have a blast with it!
@@andyH_England I got Xiaomi 14 from the Xiaomi UK store for £749 (with vouchers available on Xiaomi UK website) + free tablet (worth 369) => much cheaper final price compared to iPhone 15 Pro with no discount/gift!!
Damn, Xiaomi 14 has a dramatically better front camera than their previous flagship. Now it is actually comparable to competition, even sometimes winning (4:28) than being straight up weakness like in previous generations.
I’ve got a xiaomi 14 here in the US and a 15 pro. For me the first thing I noticed is the color profile is cooler on the xiaomi. Some may like this and some might not. The details seem to be retained better in most scenarios too with the xiaomi with one exception. It softens wrinkles. Some might like this but I’ve always been a fan of seeing a subjects imperfections being not a flaw but a reality when taking photos. As far as the zoom is concerned this is where the xiaomi 14 actually lags behind quite a bit. The zoomed in photos lose a lot of detail in order to maintain overall consistency in the entirety of the zoomed shots. Video on the iPhone 15 pro is still better too when it comes to zooming and overall quality. That aside the xiaomi makes a better overall phone due to the cost, features, superior low light photography, battery life and charging speeds, loud speakers, and bigger display.
You should also notice that youre comparing different phones. Xiaomi 14 should be compared with iPhone 15, nie iPhone 15 pro. Theres Xiaomi 14 pro to do that❤
Been an iphone user for a long time with iphone 13 being the last. Got Xiaomi 14 a few weeks ago, and true enough, the camera capabilities are indees excellent.
It is illegal in the UK (and the US) to download copyrighted torrents (P2P), so I suspect Apple is acting in its best interest so it does not get sued for being an agent of illegal activities. I understand in some countries, it is not illegal, so for those, then Android is the best choice. I am in the UK, so no torrent apps are not an issue as I do not want to break the law. The Police are clamping down on this here.
Both phones are excellent to me. As a Samsung user of S23 Ultra and Google Pixel 6a and iPhone 15 pro max , I would have to say iPhone does still is the king in terms of video quality. Xiaomi is doing a more great job every new models release. They say you can't have everything u need in a phone cause no phone is perfect as good as DSLR. But all new phones release today even mid range can stand up with the flagship phones. I also like Vivo. These phones will boil down to users preferences and needs. Great review!
Now im tempted to get the 14, the only variant they will launch here in the Phils, sadly no Ultra. I bought a Poco f5 pro while waiting for the xiaomi 14 Ultra (coming from ip14 plus) but no hope I guess 😂. I liked the f5 pro tho, screen and overall smoothness of HyperOS are very good but the cameras, specially videos are the weak points. Excited for the Xiaomi 14!
waiting too for Xiaomi 14, I have Xiaomi 13T and I fell in love with it, the moment it was announced X14 is going to be sold here in PH gets me excited to buy it
Of course you'll be happy with Xiaomi 14/Leica 📸🎉. In photography it wins over everything Apple and Samsung has to offer, even at much higher prices costing 50% or even more. Just note that Xiaomi 14 screen is smaller, a compact sized screen under 6,4"
Watching on a 27" 4K OLED Monitor and the iPhone mops the floor with the Xiaomi's camera. Difference is night and day. I wonder if most people here are watching this on a mobile screen?
Xiaomi 14 wins this one besides for the front camera and dude if you are reading these comments, the Xiaomi link leads to a deleted product (typical Aliexpress XD) and the iPhone is not available on Amazon
Camera: 9/10 Design: 10/10 Screen: 9/10 Battery: 8/10 Performance: 10/10 In hand feel: 10/10 Haptics: 10/10 Main camera Fog issue: its real and reproducible. Making this device unusable. 'Overall score 0/10'
Compact flagship phone with premium feels and value defining specs Sure xiomi 14 excels in these aspects Personally prefer compact beast phone ❤ Xiomi 14 wins here 😊
Has any xiaomi or huawei or oppo owner had a phone last more than 5 years as main phone? Because my iphones last me 6 to 7 years and need to change because the OS is not supported anymore. If i change to android will i get this kind of durability?
Hi, I have a Xiaomi Mi 9 since 2019. However it doesn't receive updates, it is working very well and faster. I only will change because it don't receive OS updates anymore.
have my xiaomi redmi note 9 pro since 2020, still snappy. I've also dropped this a lot of times and I'm surprised for its durability. I'm planning on buying the xiaomi 14 china rom.
if you consider to buy Android and want more than 5 year of OS update suport then you only options either Samsung or Google, both brand offer 7 years of OS update currenty for their latest flaghsip, I have Samsung S22 and I still get monthly security update every month even after 2 years of usage which is impossible to get this kind of support from chinese brand
As an owner of the Xiaomi 14 you should look into some overheating issues after long usages especially battery drain after multiple charges, I'm one of the first buyers of the Xiaomi 14 btw only issue I have with Xiaomi is that the buttons are not as solid as the iphones Edit: Speakers are definitely better any phone especially against the Samsungs and are slightly better than thr iPhones
Does it overheats when you're just using it for Multimedia usage like watching videos or listening to songs for longer hours? Also can you explain the battery drain issue a little? Planning to get one, so I would like to know your long term review. Thanks,
@@PantsuThief69 Ye kinda does for some reason and updates still haven't fixed it yet also I'm using the China version, just 2 hours of RU-vid makes it overheat also buttons are wobbly as af compared to Samsung and Iphone not sure is it because of my China version but once you get the Global version tell me are the buttons solid or not
@@jonathanng138 Almost every review on youtube about the global version seems positive, so finger's crossed. I'll let you know about my experience once I get my hands on it. Thanks man.
how about the screen display outdoor???? POCO X6 Pro very bad not visible outdoor same as Xiaomi 12T & Redmi Note 13 Pro not bright very bad display under the sun
My previous phones i charge everyday, Xiaomi 14 pro i charge every 2 days. Takes 15 min and less wear on charging port, its great. Now is the real test if phone can last 2 days after 1 year :D
@@hoyoungwonwould love to see that comparison as those two phones are what I'll choose between. Issue is in the UK last few years Xiaomi flagship devices are pretty expensive! Actually more than Samsung at times. So let's see thanks 👍
But thats Chinese version of Xiaomi 14 and not Global, basically it means that a lot of Bugs, Glitches and non compliant parts inside. Show Global one when it comes out on Feb26
Yes, you cannot compare the prices of a Chinese version as you will lose so much, including the warranty and the lack of a UK adapter. Also, does it use EU-specified parts for safety? Who knows? Not worth risking it, especially if something goes wrong, as getting it fixed is a nightmare.
xiaomi have 2 leica mode which is leica vibrant will be more vivid was used in the video, another one is leica authentic probably more natural same as iphone 15 pro picture
I always prefer xiaomi and androids phones because the price is low and many jobs are simple in old days BUT in today PRICES is high and IOS is the only way for the jobs.
It depends on the country you bought it from, I personally don't care as long as it can be uninstalled/disabled. Mostly shopping apps, candy crush and some social media
