Are you sure the 14T (NOT PRO) has a plastic frame? Xiaomi web site describes an aluminium frame. I have been on live chat with them and they insist its aluminium!
Ppl are saying for the same price, u can get the S24 FE but in my country, the Xiaomi 14T is much cheaper than the S24 FE. So, i might go for this phone. What do you guys think?
Plastic frame, slower chipset, 67W, no wireless charging, lesser cameras, all to save £100 over the 14T Pro, a poor deal. It's basically a Poco X6 Pro with better display and cameras.
When you purchase this phone on their physical store they include the charger as a "freebie" (at lesst here in the Philippines), just not included in the box.
I have a question. Why don't smartphones use a high-MP count cam for their telephoto? I mean, yeah use 48/50/64mp for the main wide cam and use 108/200mp for your telephoto since telephoto lens will offer an optical zoom then does a digital zoom after it. Why aren't companies doing that?
Because higher MP doesn't always translate to better photo quality. It also needs optimisations. You could get the Poco X6 Pro which has 64MP but you'll have a better camera experience with the 14T's 50MP. This applies to the telephoto too. Another reason is simply marketing & cost savings really.
Bought one of these today. £540 from the Xiaomi UK site for the 12/512 model and got a free Redmi Pad Pro 8/256 and a 67 Watt Charger as well. Decent value that.
In Spain they are gifting a 50" TV for the 14T, 55" for the 14T pro, also giving the respective phone charger, I purchased the pro bundle for 650€, crazy stuff
@@mariodoblado668 That's great value. There's 10% off the range in the UK if you use the Mi Website. If you buy the top spec 14T Pro with 1TB Memory, you get the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro free which is about £599 still in the UK.
@@mornotafi The charger comes with the bundle, but it's not in the phone box, when the offer expires at October 10th if you want it you will have to buy aside, that is im Spain atleast, in the Xiaomi France webpage there's no early bird bundle?
I suppose copying the iPhone body design is smart from a business perspective, but as a result every phone looks the same now. It's also not ergonomic - I don't want 90 degree angles sticking into my hands all day.
@@Drewtheelder In my experience almost all cases for squared phones are also squared. It does feel way better with a case on but still nowhere near as comfortable as a proper round one
Didn't like the feel of it. Really cheap feeling to it, like a toy. I opted for iphone 15pro (my first iphone and it was a little bit more expensive than xiaomi 14) and it is nothing special. Camera is the worst thing ever, you can't choose exposure or anything like on android phones. Keyboard is also disaster, and some google apps are not supported in my country, so I am thinking about selling it. And still Xiaom is bigger than Iphone
Don't mind me, its actually an amazing phone, it's just that I dislike it more than I like it. First is how it looks, the design is very outdated like 2020ish, and it looks bland. The camera module is copied by almost all android phones, esp Chinese phones, only Oneplus, Samsung, and Pixel have distinct and iconic looks. 2nd, Just why would you pair Leica Lens with a Dimensity processor. I like dimensity 8300U and 9300+, they're beasts, but they're more optimal for performance than cameras. I believe the camera performace of mediatek-powered phones deteriorates faster than snapdragon-powered ones ( idk. maybe because of optimization or high-performance ruins camera performance in the long run). 3rd, Price. No, really the price is reasonable, because of the cam collab, powerful processor, and few more. It's just that if this was $100 lesser, it is easily becomes the Best Value Phone. Also, price because there's no charger brick that comes with the box🤧 Overall, I like this phone.
por no mas de 500 dlls esta bien ... y lo del cargador es por la regulación de europa en europa ninguna compañía pondra cargador dentro de la caja por sus tontas regulaciones ...
All Android phones which are not Samsung S Series, should not cost a cent more than €550. That's because only iPhone and Galaxy S series phones have an ecosystem with cross device sync, shops, repair centres and widely available accessories. And the iPhone also enjoys the best resale value. All these other Android phones like Sony and Xiaomi and One Plus, Vivo etc are all OVERPRICED because they are stand alone devices with zero ecosystem. They have shit retail value, zero support and repair and zero accessories. That includes Xiaomi. Think about it carefully and you'll realise an iPhone 13 at €600 offers WAY BETTER VALUE than any other android. Plus 5 - 6 years OS updates. I say this as an android user. Android OEM's ARE ripping us off! They are a screwing us over. That used to be Apple but ironically it's now android doing it. Don't get all emotional at me. Think. Think. Think. You'll see I'm right.
I agree with this, but both samsung and google and giving you 7 years of updates now. Apple has to catch up yet again. The state of the other companies is pretty depressing though. There's no reason to get flagships from other companies besides samsung, but if it's cheaper enough, it could still be fine. Say, you get 4 years of OS upgrades but the phone is cheaper enough to justify that, where the dollar per upgrade is still similar. That wouldn't be the worst value. It's definitely hard to justify many other brands though, with 2 and 3 years of upgrades, at the same price as samsung and google (midrange included)
@@harmony-b4m Yes exactly. Even Google, outside the US has zero support. You can't even buy it in my country at all unless you import it. Whereas Samsung has strong support, loads of accessories, 1 hour walk in repair service. Plus if you buy their other products like watches or tablets, they have the same sync, clipboard etc with a Samsung account. In that case even the €400 A35 is a decent buy compared to the Chinese brands.
@@abdelhafidhboussouar3455 I'm talking about buying devices like watches and tablets and it syncs all your data, allows you to take calls on any device, can copy on one device and paste on another etc
I read that chinese phones secretly do screenshots and send them to chinese servers. Would make me feel uncomfortable using my banking app on these devices.
