I just bought my scooter two weeks ago and I must say it's quite the nippy machine. I love that it's so silent, it picks up speed fast, it's portable and overall it really looks nice. As fas as negative points, the only thing I could imagine (as far as I am concerned) is the lack of some physical locking mechanism. Other than that, great product for a quick trip in the city
Someting I would like to see as an upgrade, is faster charging, bigger tires (10" or even 12" would be awesome), maybe 2WD (dual motor), more battery range.
That should different model cuz some people don’t really like heavy ones bcs if the battery dies your gonna your really not gonna like the slow when pushing it and when carrying it out
You hit the nail on the head with your constructive criticism of this (and other) scooter. A means of transportation is not of much use if you can't leave it safely secured somewhere to go about your business.
Nice review, but again, it seems like a very, very minor update. You could say has the Pro 2 motor, without the lager Pro 2 battery. En ja, nog steeds jammer dat je er in NL niet zonder zorgen mee op de weg mag. Btw, super mooie shot op 2:04 !! Een soort blend mode gedaan in de montage? Heel vet.
my pro 2 comes with this new folding mechanism as well and i bought it a few months ago. i was wondering why it was different but it’s obviously one of the new mechanisms
i am wondering between this model and bit older pro2. this 3 model gives a bit of upgrades (lock, brakes), but is it worth, or better to choose older model with bigger range?
What do i expect for pro 3? 10" tyres, at least 350w motor, 15Ah, 20% incline, ipx rating and up to 600€ price. It would prolong it's range up to 60km, and makes it drivable on rain. That'd be enough for me.
@@multipreach2674 Yes they are easy to unlock and you can find many tutorials on youtube, the top speed is not much higher tho, around 22-23mph depending on your weight
Sadly a very limited change compared to the previous generation 😕, just better brakes and improved folding mechanism. I would have loved an improvement in the electrical motor (more power) and as well a front suspension…I will have to look at something else.
Der motor ist schon stark genug😂 wir haben mit einem freund 2 fernseher auf dem e scooter gefahren die beschleunigung ist zwsr etwas langsamer aber ed fährt immernoch 17-19 kmh
This is the most unnecessary "UPDATE", ever! No larger battery, no higher voltage, still 8,5" tires, no suspension, not even the 350w engine! And I don't think it will come for 449€. We're still paying 500 bucks for the Pro 2. That 3 is more like a Pro 2.1, or Pro 2 mk2, but definitely nothing, which deserves getting a "new generation" name.
Yeah like David said, this is not the PRO model. (That might come later this year?) The price is most likely because of the increased shipping rates this year, as the shipping rates from China to Europe have gone to about 10X what they were about a year ago. It's super sad to see, but I am afraid a lot more products will be quite a bit more expensive in the year to come if shipping costs won't come down soon.
There is a reason that the brakes are only on the left side: This prevents from driving with one hand only, as you need your right hand for acc, and left hand for brakes
Yeah I do understand the reasoning, and am quite aware they try to prevent you from using it with one hand, but in my opinion it would be much more convenient to have them on both sides. As As a matter of fact, if I am not mistaken, the Mi scooters they have out in Germany actually did have two brake handles. (I am guessing it't the local law there?) -Maybe some could verify if this is true
@@xiaomify That is correct-German laws require every vehicle (including bicycles) to have two independent brakes. On these scooters sold in Germany, the handle on the right makes the motor act as a brake.
I just searched it up on YT just 3 days ago lol now here it is :)

I hope they make a rear wheel drive version for the 4th gen. Fwd is not ideal at all when going uphill or turning on wet surfaces. I think RWD mi scooter would sell really good. But i don't think they will as it takes the spot of the G30LP and Xiaomi kinda owns ninebot.
Is it really stronger in climbing hills when compared to 2 Pro? While 2 Pro claims on paper 12°, the version 3 claims 16°. That's an interesting difference yet I have doubts about the strength increase...
IMO they should upgrade the clamping system much more as it's the first one to always break on so many cases.. hope they consider the design of the early dualtron's stem locking style.. overall, can't really say this is an upgrade.. better look for other brands..
Hello, very nice video ! Can I use excerpts from the video (without sound) to illustrate what I'm saying in my video? This is for a french presentation video. Thank you for your reply. Yours sincerely 😉
Needs to be IP 6x. Riding in the dust, rain or on wet roads is normal. Especially in the tropics Only difference to the pro2 is that the rear mudguard is now barely reinforced and the rear brake is possibly better. More aggressive regen on the front wheel would be better than a stronger rear brake. Bigger wheels with tubeless tyres (still inflatable), tubeless tyres are easy to patch, somewhere to hang shopping, indicators, tail light (not just blinky brake light), brighter head lamp, running lights on the side, integrated mechanical lock, wider foot plate, an electric horn as well as bell would all be good. Waste of a new box. Wait for the 3 pro.
@@ryanlexer7935 not sure how it is in other locations, in germany at least they are limited to a certain power level and as far as I know most e-scooter have the same max load of 100kg here. some support 120kg but they usually look ugly for some reason, nothing as well designed as a xiaomi (cooperative) product.
This is also a nice scooter it almost have the same price as the 1S and same program as it The distance is 20KM which is not bad but MI scooter pro 2 could go furthers 15 more km I would recommend buying MI scooter pro 2 if you are a beginner
I have it and after using the ninebot x bevore i felt unsafe bc its less sturdy and smaler. I watched the vid to get out how to use the fold mechanism😅
Yo the singnl better thing is the breaks ! Maybe on the XIAOMI MI PRO 3 we will be have fast charging or bigger wheels like 9 or 2 or the most important thing the dual motir that will be the best thing
It works Just hold steady the throttle to your desire speed for atleast 10 seconds or wait for a beep sounds to activate. If you hear the sounds. Release holding throttle. You can try this to your home by putting the scooter on the top table and try spin the front wheel and hold steady the throttle to desire speed. Wait the sound beep to activate cruise control and release handling throttle. and to deactivate by pressing the breaks handle or hold again to press the throttle😘.
I’ll wait until local laws catch up with the tech. Requiring a drivers license for these when a lot of the appeal is for people that don’t drive is ass backwards.
So basically the only "major" upgrade is the folding machanism 🤣 , won't be upgrading my Pro1 till they bring a model with suspension out , super dissapointed in every single upgrade since the first one , they could have solid tyres if it had suspension
I have a leg power scooter and the braking system is a foot lever at the back of the board above the back wheel. This is not brake pads pressing upon the inside rim of the wheel but would I think make a great addition, if the foot lever were connected to brake pads. I have a hand brake also but never use this as the foot lever makes breaking much much easier. Perhaps the next upgrade of this scooter will only have acceleration attached to the handlebars, oh and a warning bell. Would it be good to add small wheels to the underside of the board for after folding has occurred? So you can pull the folded scooter with you like a travel case? They are quite heavy with present battery production being manufactured the way they are. Great green innovation is very acceptable. If only road laws would change here in Britain I am sure their would be far more people using these e-scooters instead of fossil fuel driven bus companies. Although buses may soon be illegal to operate using fossil fuel products because they encourage cancer. Here’s hoping. God bless
@@xiaomify can you please tell me where you can buy the Mi electric scooter 3, I have been looking for it everywhere but still can't find it so I can buy it. I'll be very thankful mate
@@Marick. I've actually got mine through Xiaomi, they gave it for a video. I did see it listed on the Xiaomi Global website, but haven't seen it in any of the EU stores just yet. I am guessing that it might have to do with the global shipping delays because of the pandemic because I though they should be available about now. So my guess is.. Soon.. Maybe?
To everyone doing reviews on electric vehicle or transport device. Please have a session where you all just shut up for a minute, stop the music and let people hear the sound of the vehicle when as it travels. Thanks.
