1. If you set a desired level of humidity, how much does it fluctuate around? 2. Is it possible to set MI Home to switch the humidifier on/off depending on an external temperature/humidity sensor? Thanks for your help
1. The inbuilt humidity sensor may not very accurate as it is near to the source. So it might vary quite a bit. 2. Yes it is possible to control the Humidifier, On/Off or even set to Level 1/2 or custom level using a smart sensor that can work with the Mi Home App. I would recommend using a dedicated sensor if you want very specific control of the Humidity. Thanks.
Hi. How much water does it keep in the tank when it turns off because of too low amount of water? I don't like when humidifiers keep a lot of water inside when turning off, and then if you won't fill it up or pour the water out on time it will get fungus created inside.
Very good question and a right concern. There will be around 5mm height of water left in the tank, the volume may not be that much. The filter will soak it up and eventually evaporate naturally even if the humidifier is off. However, I recommend that we should clear out the tank if not used for long time. Thanks.
You need to wash it regularly. And it is washable, use a soft brush. I think the replacement filters aren't yet available since it's new, but it should be available in the future.
I am not sure, the rating specified is 220V but it might work as it seems to have a universal switching regulator inside for the DC pump and fan. But I can't be 100% sure. Thanks.
For me no, the first 10 days it worked great, but after that all the modes are faulty. It only recognizes one stand; full speed. It is noisy, where in the first days' you could not hear it. Not only that, but it was perfect. I've seen several complaints like mine. Most likely it needs a new firmware update. But until now all the modes are the same. So I don't put it on at night at all anymore.
@@notpln1 Just a tip, if you want a Xiaomi "DIY" evaporator this is the best way. Buy the new imilab / xiaomi IR remote, a simple Aircooler (with ION function!!!!) With a remote. It's much cheaper most of the time, the ION function helps you clean the air, and if you have a humidity sensor from Xiaomi in the same room, use that as the sensor. I have all my humidifiers that way, except for this one. Guess which ones still works?
@@notpln1 You're correct sir. I have been connecting en resetting, but nothing helps all the three modes are still the same. There was one time it sounded like the motor was stuck.. But nope. Once you updated it on the Chinese server, it won't downgrade anymore except for another server, which don't offer the update.
