Thanks for talking about the key travel. Many reviews these days don't really talk about this and assume the people watching the video will never do anything productive with the laptop which requires a good keyboard.
Xiaomi is getting better in build quality for these laptop, they just need to improve speaker quality and I would suggest if they put speaker on top like MacBook 👍
The question itself is ambiguous. There is nothing that windows can't do that mac can and vice versa. Mac is not for you if you want to game apart from that both OS are great.
@@Sourav_Mudi 99% of things these days can be done through a web browser, so it will really not make a huge difference no matter what you use for mails, office usage, etc. Office is same on both if you use that. Both UIs take some time getting used to if you are new. Sound and build quality are hardware dependent. Rest which OS you like comes down to personal preference.
50-60k windows laptop for office apps related work. Office apps usually come free, or can be pirated easily. MacBook Air M1 for those who travel a lot, do a lot of video conferences, need one as a statement piece and need a macbook or those who have an iPhone. (But a 2tb external harddrive with type c adaptor if u need storage) For those who have only web related tasks, a chromebook or a old windows laptop with a dual boot of chrome os flex.
Exactly I was thinking not to mention asus has ryzen 5000 models which will provide more battery life and less heat for less price with better display quality overall.
@geekyranjit: This is a great video! Thank you! Dell laptops are good too (all ranges: Starting, Mid-range & high end). I haven't really seen you review Dell laptops. Please do consider reviewing Dell laptops. They are good on the "Value for performance ratio", without the "extra" premium cost.
Greetings, Mr. Ranjit, I have been here since your medieval era. I'm unclear regarding purchasing a PC or LAPTOP under 1.5 lakh rupees for music production, video editing, and rarely casual gaming. By checking the GPU performances of the PC & the LAPTOP, there is much less difference. Still, the CPU performances may differ to some extent. Please give some of your insights while purchasing a PC or LAPTOP. As some sales will be going On online & offline, your information regarding PC build or LAPTOP specs would be precious, and it would be helpful for a lot of friends :)
You should go with a proper PC with beefy GPU, as per your work u mentioned. Laptop will be medicore/slow for your purpose and price range + Laptop will heat like crazy in rendering....
This is one of the strangest laptops that is not sold anywhere in this world outside of India and China. With that being said, most of the reviews for this laptop are highly praised, which further raises my concern. Mi's official website is selling this laptop with the following specs for 58000: 16GB RAM + 512GB NVMe SSD, i5 11th Gen 11300H Processor + Iris Xe Graphics + MS Office 2021. I will use for editing videos, Python programming and playing games like GTA 5 and Minecraft (of course besides using Internet and MS Office). I have a few questions: 1. What is wrong with this laptop, because I never believe in such a utopian product. 2. With the above specifications and my potential use, is this laptop worth it? 3. Are there any better alternatives at this price tag or below 60000, as my budget is very tight?
Asus vivobook pro 15 (15.6'),(Ryzen 7 5800H 8core),(16gb/512gb),(GTX 1650 4GB Ram) - 66,000 as i wanted to buy laptop, done little bit research. so I feel this can be one u may like.
They should have had a model with 1240P variant pe ryzen 5000 series for better battery life. Battery life is a deal breaker especially at that price point. Battery life is borderline pathetic for the price one will spend.
Sir please make a review of asus vivobook pro 14/15 ... with the nvidia 3050/3050 Ti gpu . Please include if there's going to be any issue with the oled screen later after few months of usage . Oled screens are known to be fragile . Also always loved your videos . ❤️
@geekyranjit please make a video on recent apple event and price difference in India, seems like we won't be able to get iPhone from US now because of lack of sim tray, I appreciate your work and thank you so much for the useful content
I've been using it for the past week, and I want to point out some flaws. 1. The trackpad isn't very good. The tracking is precise, but it is very sensitive to accidental touches. 2. The battery life isn't up to the mark. I've dropped the resolution to 1920x1200, but it's still awful. It has a capacity of 56980 mWh, which is approx. same as my 3-year-old Zephyrus G14, but the Zephyrus G14 is significantly better than this even after 3 years of battery wear. Even watching a 1080p video on youtube makes the discharge rate jump to over 15000 mWh. The difference in battery life between the 2 laptops becomes even more significant when you start doing CPU-intensive work. The fact that the 12th gen Intel CPUs are still on a 10nm process is appalling, considering my G14 is 3 years old and is on a 7nm process. 3. The laptop runs hot. Do anything remotely CPU intensive, and it'll immediately start breathing fire.
One strange issue that I’ve noticed is touch rattling noise when we tap at lower right side….it’s not too loud but certainly annoying…do you face same issue or it’s just me ?

I was waiting for review of this laptop since long. Can you suggest me which one I should by between MacBook Air M1 or Xiaomi Notebook Pro 120G ? My usage will be Programing and App development. I already have MacBook pro 2019. But I need to purchase one more laptop for my Work.
Heating when using heavy apps and battery life were the 2 cons I had with this laptop as I said in the video. If you are used to Mac then still the Macbook Air M1 is a very good laptop.
@@wwechampikp go for it brother ive been using it since a year for programming and it handles them very easily and the development seems much more smoother to me u wont regret it
@@faisaljavid6998 yes i do coding mostly and the speed with which it handles my tasks in visual studio is something i had never seen in any windows laptop
Hi Ranjit, Which one you pick/suggest between these two configuration (Processes X+1, LPDDR-4 RAM, UFS 2.1) vs (Processes X, LPDDR-5 RAM, UFS 3.1). Can you tell us in which sequence we need to check when buy new phone (like in laptop we must look for SSD 1st).
Why don't brands like Asus or Lenovo not make laptops with this design and build quality? If there is, please suggest one. Build should be all aluminium, sturdy hinges and at least 15.6" display.
Hi ranjit, I'm an avid follower of your videos, great work 👏Please recommend a laptop under 70k for professional work and editing, need futuristic processor and I/o ports, ips display, also Is it best to buy in sale or offline stores
One lesson I learned.. Never buy laptops from these newly players in laptop markets... Either xiaomi realme infinix.. No matter how good specs they provide.. there customer support is very bad and they charge a lot compare to well established brands to cover the cost of their cheap price... Always buy laptops from HP Dell lenevos Asus msi.. .
Ranjit sir please review the Sennheiser CX 80S earphones. I bought Sennheiser cx 180 a couple of years ago based on your review and absolutely loved them (still do 😅). I am concerned about the build quality of CX 80S as that of CX 180 wasn't that good. Thank You 🙂
Is it better than notebook pro 120 or 120 g,actually iam confused between notebook pro 120 vs notebook pro 120 g vs notebook ultra 16 gb ram. I donot play any games and run heavy editing software. Please reply ?? How is battery life please mention 🙏🙏🙏
should I buy this or a MacBook air m1, I am a student, and I will do coding, ai -ml, data science and most important video editing. please give me reasons to why would i consider one over other.
This time price is high with specs and all the cons mentioned. Speakers are always bad in Mi laptops, but battery and heating?? At least there should be GPU disable option for long running times.
Hi sir, since it's a H series processor I am concerned about heating issues and battery life. My main use case is coding like developing apps on Android Studio and web applications. So will the non GPU version be good enough in those two aspects ?? Looking for atleast 7-8 hrs easy battery with good-high performance.
Go for a laptop with Dedicated graphics card.. You will get HP, Acer, Asus, Lenovo etc cheaper than this and much better performance. Plus go AMD rather than Intel for heavy use.
@@nikhil3299 but don't you think that buying a laptop with dedicated graphics card is useless if a person's choice of work is not related with graphic designing , gaming etc.
I am guessing this, the screen must be in 120Hz, so the battery backup is low. Try to put it dynamic of 60Hz mode for better battery life. I am having a gaming laptop, after reducing refresh rate, I am getting around 4hours for medium usage. This should last much more.
DO NOT BUY XIAOMI LAPTOPS. I bought Xiaomi notebook Pro and within a year speaker gave up, touchpad works on its own, keys have their own issues and its just worth the money.
I am almost 50, and recently bought a 14" FHD laptop & regretting it as it is very difficult for me to read. I wonder how much can you read on a 2.5K screen 14" - at least for older people like me :-D. Although, you could go for desktop scaling...
If weight is not an issue go with a laptop with 15.2 or 16" screen size, now as I am 45 I also feel the 13.3" and 14" screens to be a bit cramped, I like the 16" screen sizes on laptops now.
Wow, you're totally right! It's like nobody has thought of this before and DPI settings, font settings and desktop scaling just don't exist! Companies are so dumb, selling these laptops and people even buy this omg1!!!
It's downgraded i5 h series processor as 12500h has 4 performance and 8 efficiency cores. It has skipped 4 efficiency cores. That's why in my opinion vivobook s14 or vivobook Pro series makes more sense in this budget having 2.8k 90hz OLED display with 70Whr battery
hey man .. have you used vivobook pro series ? or anyone you know has ? I've head that oled screens are very fragile and even a little bit of falling on ground from a very low height like even 1/2 feet can damage them . Is that going to be an issue with vivobook pro models ?
@@techeye1114 I have heating issues on new vivobook even after giving 12gb ram ,it,s become hot like a tandoor ,and I am just use for casual browsing only,If anybody want to buy a new laptop go for Hp or Dell under 60 to 70 k
Can i use this for Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, Website designing etc- (Not for vedio editing) I am looking for a professional looking laptop (i am an engineering student) Which i can use for Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, Website designing etc- Is this worth it Not interested in gaming laptops
How to manage the heating of the H series processor. I have a dell G15 and I'm facing the same issue. Would this overheating affect the performance later on?
which laptop will be better between xiaomi notebook pro 120 and asus vivobook s14 oled. Usage is mainly for productivity, office work, movies and browsing
U will actually be getting the MacBook Air M1 if u are eligible for card offers ... If u can afford the m1 , blindly go for it ... But if ur looking for a windows based laptop , go with the Asus vivobook s14 OLED.
Can you please for godsake 🙏 make a video on how loud is the fan noise of Mi notebook pro 120g. I need it for editing, but not sure if the fan noise is silent or not cause as soon I open my editing software on my windows laptop, the fans immediately kick in and its irritating. So Im a bit hesitant to buy mi notebook pro 120g. Please make a video on fan noise.
Last year september I bought Mi notebook pro that came with Windows 10. Couple of weeks later Windows 11 update came up. After doing the update display went dead. After more than a month of following up with the customer support they finally replaced my device display. I would suggest not to go for these new company laptops.
Dont agree. I've been using MI Horizon laptop for 2 years now. Updated to Windows 11 and even after 2 year it's blazing fast and battery back is still the same. Built quality is top notch 😊
Why will you buy xiaomi laptops? When there are better laptops available from asus, hp, dell, lenovo in the market I bought a asus tuf gaming a 17 running ryzen 7 4800h, i know the processor is a bit old, but still gets the job done without any hiccups
Hey Ranjit, I actually want to buy a good laptop around 75K(±10). Hybrid b/w gaming and ultrabook preferred. What do you think is the best option in market right now?
Does this laptop work with Linux...especially the sound and the touchpad (before and after wakeup from sleep)? (edit: never mind... I just realized the battery life is around 3 hours, making this an absolutely pointless laptop. It would make much more sense if they had used an U series processor and provided enough battery power to get it running for at least 10+ hours)
Lol you're just thinking from your own POV and needs. This laptop's selling point is it's strong H processor. If you want a U processor, all other brands are providing a U and P processor. In fact I'm writing this from a U processor. The biggest issue with U processors is that vendors will lock your TDP and as soon as you hit that value, the processor will start power throttling. Even at temperatures of 65 degree, it will throttle if you're hitting the TDP value. It's not possible to bypass this on most modern laptops. Essentially you'll artificially get higher than 3 hours battery life at the cost of trash performance. Btw I also use Arch Linux. And if you want more Battery Life, just undervolt it by -100mV and disable the Turbo. Use Throttlestop and make a separate battery profile which does all this. These 12th gens have a lot of undervolt potential and you'll easily go from 3 hours to 6 hours. The U series are basically super nerfed and gimped models. What you're essentially saying is - ' please artificially give me lower performance for better battery life '. Instead of getting a trash U processor, get this H one and set a battery profile on Throttlestop with undervolt and disabled Turbo. You'll get best of both worlds then. Also I'm guessing you've never owned a U processor laptop. Because in real world conditions, no U processor ( at stock settings ) will ever give you 10+ hours battery life.
