Brilliant repair! Thank you a lot! Already ordered the MOSFETS. As I can see, this problem not always caused by a shorted MOSFET. But I believe that in my case I will need to replace them. The brush got "brush error" several days before, when plastic bag wrapped around it. After that I noticed that brush somehow failed to spin from time to time. Yesterday the robot appeared completely discharged, and after placing the robot on the dock brush started to spin constantly. I hope to bring the vacuum to working condition again.
I had the same issue but solved.. Just hold the unstoppable main brush for a few seconds with your fingers. It will stop and give error. Put the device on charger and wait untill full charge. Then you can use your robot vacuum cleaner as usual without any issue...
The MOSFET is a P channel AO3407. I recommend you replace both MOSFETs. Here is a link where you can find it: www.ebay.com/itm/285182905075?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=z6d97jZnT5C&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=IxDz5vwDR22&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@techfixPOV Thank you very much, I ordered some! The mosfet on mine looks burned, however only 1 out of the 2. The board just got swapped a month ago in a warranty claim, but failed already. Do you have any idea how would this mosfet fail again and again? Could it be something related to the charger?
If the main board has been replaced, I recommend that you send the robot back to service to be repaired under warranty. It is possible that the defect is caused by the motor of the central brush or because of the central brush that spins hard due to the accumulation of dust or hair. They should check in service what is the cause of the defect. The charger has nothing to do with this defect. If you decide to change the mosfet, check the central brush if it rotates normally and you should replace both mosfets.
Hello, I have no experience with electronics, I only have a soldering iron and tin to solder, I have the same problem, from what I understand would it be replacing this Mosfet? What is Mosfet 3407?
Hello, if you don't have experience with repairing electronics, I don't recommend trying to repair this robot yourself. There is a risk of causing other defects. Here you have more info about this mosfet: aosmd.com/sites/default/files/res/data_sheets/AO3407.pdf
There is also the possibility that the Mosfet is fed incorrectly (through the GATE pin) by the board controller. Thus, the mosfet remains permanently in ON mode between the Drain and Source pins. Have you checked both Mosfets and they are not short-circuited?
@techfixPOV: well the circuit board's failure I did not see , the robot is my son's and he said me: dad repair it pls.He will send it me in the future. You know I am a technician A bit later I can say concrete answer. Thanks bro!
hello, i have another problem. despite replacing the battery, the vacuum cleaner turns itself off regardless of the set suction power. do you have any solution? Regards
Hello, if you have an multimeter, I think that first You should check the voltage from your charger and the voltage from your battery after one complete charge cycle. Maybe your charging station is faulty or the robot's charging circuit have some issues. First You should exclude these two posibilities. Compare the voltage readings with the values specified on docking station and battery. If both readings are fine, then I recommend You to check the mainbord for liquid damage or bad contact on all connectors, specialy on the battery connector. If You have any other questions, I'm glad to help You.
Can you help me, my mi mop essential said it have problem with right wheel, i open everything except wheel because it's impossible open it without drill
The robot did not generated any error. The mosfet that is powering up the center bursh motor is shorted between the drain and source, so the motor will be powered directly from the battery even if there is no trigger voltage on the gate. This can be caused by several reasons: overheated mosfet, too much power drained by the motor due to a stuck brush, a bad mosfet...
sir. my xiaomi problem is suddenly stop working and shutdown. at mi home app the battery indikator 50%.so I have to put it to dock to charge. can you help me?
Hello friend, my robot is the same, but only the main brush gives an overload error and the red light is on, I start it again after a certain period of time, it gives a gene error, overload error, I should do the same thing.*
I think you should try to start the robot without the brush connected. If the error is still there, you may have a problem with the motor or the PCB. If the error is gone, you need to check if the brush spins freely, maybe is stuck.
It is possible that the rotating brush is blocked. You can try to start the robot without mounting the brush. The robot will no longer give that error if the problem is with the brush. If the error still occurs, it is possible that the motor or the electronic board are defective.
