This is a really nice tent...completely unexpected from Xiaomi!! Not too surprised at the quality considering the company though. I'm onto larger tents now as I'm older and like standing up...but I'll definitely consider this one for my nephews next camping trip. Keep up the camping theme Matt, it's great!

Love the vid and the product as always man. I gotta ask though, how do you find this stuff? Big brands taking the piss and cheap and crap chinese knockoffs are everywhere but how do you always find products in that sweet spot of a value but quality product from reputable chinese companies? I always find stuff from fiio and xiaomi by chance, is there a good place to look?

Just moved to California to be here with my son. Starting from the bottom no car no house no money, just got a job and I'm going to pitch this thing about a qtr mile from my job. Great design I really need something to put up and down very fast to stay low-key and need it for nothing more than a roof over my head. This is engineering at its finest. Brilliant! Who'd of known they'd be blessing people for a purpose such as mine, people are great. Always remember we wake up with 2 things folks, A CHANCE & A CHOICE.

Just spray with waterproofing Its basically the shape of a quonset so water shouldnt be much of a problem

only thing about these tents are they are too bulky to carry? you going to strap that to your back pack? your motorcycle? it goes up and tears down easily but you need a car so your bigger tents would be carried anyways, they need to get these pop ups in back pack formats, or motorcycle formats where they can easily be hauled...

So it looks awesome and all so I clicked the link and if you scroll down to the section labeled "Automatically opened tent" they had this in their description: "The tent is designed to be free of construction and only needs to be thrown outwards and the tent will be automatically formed immediately. The simple operation allows *girls* to easily navigate" Like I don't want to make a big deal but that comment makes me not want to buy their products. Also please let me know if you think I am interpreting the statement the wrong way. Maybe I missed something. Again don't want to make this a big deal just wanted to point it out. Hopefully someone can tell me I interpreted it wrong.

It's too big and cumbersome to carry it around in a hiking trip, and to small for the camping with cars.

This style isn't meant for carrying around on a hiking trip. And neither is it a family sized tent meant for staying a whole week somewhere. But it excels if you're just one person or a couple, and only staying a night or two here and there. Your snide comment makes out this style of tent is useless - well I had one 10+ years ago and it was awesome. And after a less than optimum experience last week with a regular tent I'm absolutely going to buy another pop-up tent. (Not from Xiaomi though). Try to look beyond your own experiences and needs when commenting.

These 3 second pop up tents make me laugh, I've seen people taking over an hour to re-pack them, even going to the extent of actually dumping the tents when finding it near impossible to get them back in there bags, I dare anyone to try finding plenty of videos on repacking these types of tents, fingers crossed for anyone buying one of these tents if its raining when your about to pack up and leave site? Good luck you'll need it. that's why there are literally thousands of them left behind at festivals.

I had one a decade ago in the UK, it had the best floor of any tent I've owned and is by far the quickest and easiest to setup and pack away. I used it at several multi-day festivals, it never got wet inside, and it always came home with me by bus, train and coaches. Someone inexperienced at setting up a regular tent can make it look like a struggle too. Pop up tents are awesome. Apparently they don't suit you, which is fine. But your comment is rather petty and sad.
