The 4 is a good choice, but you can't remove the grill to clean the fans like the 4 pro. If you watch videos, you'd see people having a fit because of the fans gathering dust that they can't clean off, so I think overall the 4 pro is a more solid choice in the long run.
also i think its very immportant to remember about airflow. i dont think purifier alone can clean whole room air if you dont have something that creates airflow; i mean purifier standing in room corner probably won't clean air on the opposite corner of room unless you use it on max setting that will create airflow in whole room; you can use just regular fan set somewhere in room to assure air in whole room mixes for best result ; its not purifier fault, its just basic physics ; air NEEDS to be moving in room
You have to be mindful that running this (and most) air purifiers on auto mode delivers sup par purification results. It might be due to the accuracy of the built in sensor, the way that it is coded to measure air quality and how it cross-references measured air quality to its own embedded quality chart (in some countries 35μgr/m³ PM2.5 is acceptable air quality whereas in others it's considered poor) conducing to not ideal activation and deactivation purifier times. And this might be one possible cause why the air purifier is not attaining the results needed in your daughter's bedroom. On auto the level of purification might not be good enough for her needs. The way to potentiate this and others purifier performance is to use rules. For instance, in the app set: if PM2.5 is higher than 20 then switch to manual mode. Manual mode can be set to maximum level. Then you can also set another rule that when PM2.5 is lower than 5 to switch to Auto mode. This rule is necessary because after 2-4h on manual mode the mi airpurifier will switch to auto without it. Hope it helps.
yes we in Europe have much higher standards for what is considered good air quality; btw thats why there is pm2.5 indicator, so you can decide for yourself if you need more 'power' ; also i think its very immportant to remember about airflow. i dont think purifier alone can clean whole room air if you dont have something that creates airflow; i mean purifier standing in room corner probably won't clean air on the opposite corner of room unless you use it on max setting that will create airflow in whole room; you can use just regular fan set somewhere in room to assure air in whole room mixes for best result ; its not purifier fault, its just basic physics ;
Great content as always. Just got the Xiaomi Purifier 4. Integrates well with Google Home too; able to select the different setting from Manual to Auto on the screen. Thanks!
i choose xiaomi air purifier 4 for my caravan because its already big and expensive, lite version would probably enough for my small room but since i could afford better one with more airflow and ionization then why not. pro version is even better but its just to big for my caravan, its huge. my main concern is reliability, pm2.5 sensor accuracy and overall quality, since its known Chinese company. i considered that against levoit core 400s thats way less popular, its smaller, same airflow, looks better but i read abour noisy motors in them a lot of people complain and that bottom closing housing is made with cheap and weak plastic and could be easy to break, that eliminated it for me, as i need sturdy stuff, im not good with delicate stuff ; overall not big choice in this price range, all Chinese purifiers, if you want something higher quality for that price it will have very weak features, like half airflow, no even mobile app etc; and since most people are happy with xiaomi i went with that, well see if its worth anything, itll come yesterday ; cool video, i love your accent cheers ;
thats a very good review, i am planning to buy Viomi air purifier, but filters are hard to find, can you please make a video or suggest if we can use Xiaomi airpurifier filter in viomi ? if yes then which model xiaomi air purifier filter is compatible with viomi air purifier ? thank you
I am looking to get an air purifier because I have 2 cats and a toddler but my living room is open plan meaning the living room opens to dinning room then to the kitchen so it's a pretty large space (around 500 sqft at least) and I usually keep my balcony door open instead of running the AC. I can't decide between xiaomi air purifier 4 and 4 pro. I want 4 cos it's smaller and probably smaller to move it around in case I want to use it in the bedroom. I want 4 Pro cos it is more powerful and probably can handle the open plan layout of the living/dinning/kitchen. So confused still
@@madsncakes thanks. is the viomi filter the same as the 4 pro? i just got the viomi in the end because of the uv and was thinking of where to get the replacement filter
@@wretchedworm i am also thinking to buy Viomi Air purifier, the question is which xiaomi air purifier filter is compatible with viomi? because viomi filters are really hard to find. if you have any information please share thanks
All brand are same, the filter is important base your choice of Filter Minimum H13 True Hepa filter and above, and CADR must be as much is possible bigger. That is rest is useless extra
Actually ah you would not be helping your daughter with her allergies by using the purifier , might to an extent exacerbate it when she goes into environment without purified air (aka outside of home) the flare up may be way worse. Just sharing, nice vid btw !
Actually…Indoor air can be 100 worse than outdoor air. Indoor air can have buildup of mold, bacteria, viruses, voc (cleaning products, etc) and depending on whether you have plants or pets, pollen or pet dander can all be found in indoor air. So purified indoor air is actually really important as with most people this is the time they spent most and the air you breathe matters. In early childhood, poor air can lead to asthma and a host of other problems. You’re point has a different perspective but its not a way to justify breathing bad air.
