I'm planning to buy the global version (in the US) of the Mi Band 8 Pro. I've owned Mi Bands 2 - 7. I hear that the Mi Band 8 Pro uses Mi Fitness app, instead of Zepp Life. So ... I'm looking for a DEFINITE answer, by someone who KNOWS FOR SURE ... 'HOW can I change the Metric units to Imperial units, for the Mi Fitness app?' (Please hold off answering, if your sentence starts off with, "Well, I 'think' this is the WAY you do it, just like some other apps do"). Lol. .I gotta believe there's a way, for folks buying trackers, etc., that are in the US. It's hard to believe such a common app, such as Mi Fitness, is STRICTLY set for Metric measurements. Tons of folks, who will be buying this, here in the US, and we don't care to use Metrics. I just sent back a Redmi Watch 3 Active, that required Mi Fitness. Spent parts of 3 days, looking for the setting. I've owned tons of trackers (and their different apps), so I know WHAT I'm searching for, in the Settings. Hopefully, somebody has the right answer, on HOW to switch from Metrics to Imperial. I've seen plenty of folks 'guessing', and that isn't solving anything. Thanks.
Going with the 8.....not waiting the interminable length for global, even though I'm in the U.S. Robo voiceover has come a long way, but pronunciation is still ATROCIOUS.
Thank you for this review. I have Mi band 7 pro, which is good but it doesn't sync to App automatically. I must do it manually and also must be online. I've lost some days data because of this😢. It does not even store the data beyond 12 midnight. All data collected is gone and reset to zero. This is a big negative for me. I'm not used to syncing manually since I was using Mi band 2 to 6. Can Mi band 8 pro sync automatically or store data for later sync? Pls help to confirm. Thanks.
Thanks for the review. One point of feedback, it said: "I'll talk about [...]" But you're not talking. It's a speech bot reading a text. Why not record your own voice? For the cost of the Band 7 Pro, you can buy a decent USB microphone with stand.
@@ministrytech Yeah, Xiaomi vaguely market the frame as “coated with a high-gloss metal texture”. They did the same with band8/pro, which is pretty low IMO when their products are pretty good.
