Love the freedom that the people in Xinjiang enjoy. Can ride the scooters around without the cumbersome helmet, ride 3 to a scooter, cross the streets at your convenience, move around at anytime of the day or night without fear of being robbed, raped or murdered. Freedom is in the air everywhere in Xinjiang.
Yes, better now since the forced camps closed in 2019. Thsnk god other countries put pressure on the government. . Well done world. Chinese people wouldn’t stand up for anyone.
@@sumtingwong8135 Sorry to hear that you and family has been forced to do that. Must be from the violent separatist clan. At least you are not in the Guantanamo cotton fields. That's good news.
Western narratives of genocide can never be destroyed as long there are brain deads believe it. Recently DW Mix and Match made another video on this issue. 1
It's 1/6 of China, about 3X the size of France. From google: 1.665 million km² Xinjiang is 1.66 million square kilometers (641,000 square miles) making it nearly four times the size of the U.S. state of California, and one-sixth the size of all of China.
hang on mate , i thought you have to have an official following you when you travel to Xinjiang as BBC told. really lovely seeing a true side of Xinjiang .
Our Xinjiang is completely different from what the Western world says. Your video shows the real Xinjiang daily life. And Luke, be careful when riding and shooting.
The fact there are so many kids around destroys the genocide narrative. And the fact they speak the Uyghur language tells us the cultural genocide narrative is also gibberish rubblish.
No. Utter rubbish. How dumb are you? So one guy cruises around a tiny area and that’s proof. Weirdo. Chinese government admitted camps existed but they closed them down in 2019.
Looking forward to more of your travels there in Xinjiang especially areas with high Uyghur populations like Hotan, Kargilik, Arkesu, etc to show the real situations there. Full respects to your efforts as opposed to those out to paint a different picture.
Are you evil? So you still deny all the overwhelming evidence? How sick do you need to be. Is this bud proof camps don’t exist? Is this the ultimate investigation?
Great! I am happy to see you guys enjoying yourselves and showing a little of what other parts of the world is like, especially China. Hope to view more of your adventures. It's good to have an open mind and not pass judgement on others. Good luck and be safe.God bless!
Life in small cities/towns are always more relaxed in most countries. Not wearing helmets and family of three riding a scooter around is not common in small towns in some countries. I am not shocked. LOL.
Haha, actually the kids can speak Mandarin now. They learn Mandarin and their local Uyghur in schools. Perhaps they see you are a foreigner so they stay back. It's amazing that there are E bikes even in Kashgar. Yes it's an old town, with over 2000 years of history, even older than London. You even chat with a local university student, a local girl who on her summer holidays helps sell food.
yeah you're right i was just used to many locals not speaking it, but it seemed the kids all can haha, or they're not used to someone outside of school speaking it to them
@@ddylon many chinese feel learning english is not necessary cuz they have no need to use it entire life. i don't know about xinjiang, but english is a must-have course since fourth grade when i was in primary school.
Muslims in China had much better life than Muslims in Israel or India. But western countries government only focus on Muslims human rights in Xinjiang. The Chinese government provide free education for them. They get to learn 3 languages Uyghur, Mandarin and English.
I think Kashgar is not a remote place in Xinjiang, so parents should have no excuses for not enrolling their children in schools. Moreover, basic education in itself is free, only the misc items have to be paid. If you google for some old documentaries, there had been huge efforts by educators who go to some poor Uyghur or even Tajik villages (even in remote areas) to persuade their traditional parents to send their children to schools, and dormitories provided for those who live faraway in remote mountainous regions, eg the Pamir Plateaus. So great strides have been achieved in youngsters education, though it's still not at 100% literacy rate, it's at about 99% currently.
Omg i can't believe how bad China is genocoding the uighurs !!! Look at the horrible conditions they live in ! Look at those nice houses, those tall buildings, those nice cars, those bikes and etc ! Look at how the people are forced to live in a peaceful place and do their business without fear of being attecked and robbed ! It's just too horrible seeing this genicide 😢
You disgrace to humanity. The Chinese government admit they have camps. Showing one area means nothing. Why are you so sick? Leaked files, personal accounts , leaked photos…. Overwhelming evidence. As I said the Chinese government admit camps. Calls them ‘educational’ centres. Absolutel disagrace.
The music on the back of the car is for a wedding, if you look closely the car behind it is decorated. Thats where the bride and groom are in and all the other wedding guests are in the cars behind them and theyre doing the tradition of bringing the girl home. You have this in turkey too so I think it is also tradition here
You can tell those kids' Mandarin is pretty good, without any noticeable accent that is common among Uighur elders. Instead of asking them "do you speak Chinese?" (你会说中文吗?), you should've asked "do you speak Mandarin?" (你会说普通话吗?) or "do you speak the Han language?" (你会说汉语吗?).
Amazing, you could just drop into a local night market and had a chat with a nice looking 21 yo uni student. Reflection of the real life Xinjiang, which is so different from what the western media had portrayed. Good on you mate.
Note to our British friend : when people say " I don 't know" in this context, they often mean "I don't understand your question" rathef than, as in this caze...she surely kndw where the school was! But your pronunciation of "xuexiao" waz a bit strange to her
Yes, 99.9% of Xingjang looks like this. Shame about the 380 forced camps in one tiny are of this large beautiful region. At least the Chinese government now admit camps. Call them ‘educational’ to put a good PR spin on it.
Be careful - the Americans may send up some F16 and F18 with heat seeking missiles to bring it down. There's something about balloons that some Americans don't seem to like.
@@nooksandcrannies3355why? All of it? They have the best investigative journalists by a mile. Thank god someone looks to find out the truth , unlike Chinese state media.
There is a city in nearby Ili Prefecture called Teske Bagua (八卦) City. Its city planning basically is a giant round-about, with no traffic lights in sight.
@@JohnSmith-sm7ez Wow, Good job John, and where is that 0.1% one tiny area filled with 380 brutal forced labour camps you found there? You could shoot for us next time, I really love legit meat😘
Your pronunciation of school ( XueXiao) was off a bit, the girl didn't understand what you were talking about, that's why she said she didn't know, lol😂
BBC is correct and the Chinese government admit camps. The world knows. Overwhelming evidence. I went to western Ukraine, Definitely no war going on. That’s how stupid you cunts sound. Sick humans with no morals.
380 camps in one tiny area of a huge region. Chinese government admit camps. I went to western Ukraine , is this what they call war. Exactly. That’s how dumb you guys sound. Not exactly an in depth analysis of this whole region , is it?
The US paid bloggers tried to tell people that China is forcing the Uyghur people to only speak Mandarin. And that China is destroying their mosques. 😂
Kashgar is an ancient town. You are expected to see this kind of old architecture. Chinese government try to preserve these priceless Kashgar unique culture.
Maybe you should've asked: do you speak Mandrin? 你会说普通话吗? It's a little bit weird to ask a Chinese people if he speaks Chinese or not, although he is aminority Ethnic in China.
are you blind or you just skipped the video so you cant saw the mosque?? and btw hijab is supposed to protect women from dirty-minded men, in china the male respect female more than the male in middle-east so i dont think they need to wear hijab
School going age definitely can speak Mandarin. Some could be shy to speak to a stranger. When you asked if there is a primary school nearby, the kid replied dont know. My guess is your pronunciation is a bit off and she didnt understand. Your tone for primary school sounded off 😅.
Not too bad. I would have appreciated it if your timing were better to check out the mosque when it was open. Can you imagine mosques with similar signage anywhere else in the world? Very interesting.
