I finally found my dream drone. obstacle avoidance, looks like a mavic, has a telemetry, is under 200 dollars,has tracking, long range, landing lights, gps. only downside is that you have to register it. thank you Steve for making these videos and helping me find my dream drone. please make more videos like this. ❤

It's not a DJI or Autel, however for a beginner low budget drone with decent flight and video for $239. This is the cheapest I've seen so far with a feel for the quality features like the big big name drones. Thanks Cap!

The weird flying might be caused by the sensor - Drone's trying to get away from obstacles. Most manuals advise taking off in an area free from nearby obstacles to avoid triggering the sensors. There was equipment / camera in front (and you behind) of drone. Would be interested to know if Max range is close to 5km ( 3km ones do 2.5km these days).

I wonder what the Distance of the Drone is and the distance of the FPV feed. Obstacle avoidance is optional along with various battery options.

My Android phone says wifi is connected to drone with an excellent signal. However, the drone app says not connected to wifi. Waited almost 3 months for drone to arrive and I can't fly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Many drones tested have had gimble issues at those temps. Basically below their rated temperature.

Please, more videos with drone obstacle avoidance (budget or not). I would like to see how drones can follow you and avoid obstacles (there are few RU-vid videos on this, but none of them showing how well a drone can keep following you while avoiding obstacles). If you were going to move from point A to point B, is the drone going to follow and avoid obstacles? I need a drone able to follow and record video. Any mini drone (below 250g) able to do this?

The video is only ok, but drone itself seems decent enough, wonder if you could fit a better gimbals and camera on it.

When I read your reviews, I wonder what drone you are writing about. My first XMRC M10 ULTRA drone at a distance of about 400 meters suddenly disconnected and ran away. Unfortunately, I did not find it. I bought a second one. I wait 2 minutes for 8 satellites. Autel and DJI in the same place catch 20 satellites in seconds. Waypoint flight was never started. I use a Xiaomi Mi11 phone, tested various connectivity settings and never saw a map with the drone highlighted. Maybe you have some hints. Christopher

Seems okay, but the low temperature surely must have influenced it's working. The bright snow messed up exposure (NO camera settings, correct?)

thanks for good video. it's very reasonable price for beginners. stable hovering and high quality recording video and photo are enough for starting drone. this model seems from SG906 Series manufacturer cause power on sound is same

The XMRC M10 is surely one of the best

I have been struggling to find an inexpensive drone for my kid that won't make us both beat our heads against the wall. He is a decent flier and responsible for his age, but I can't see throwing down for a DJI Mini 2 yet (he is 8). He has spent is own hard earned money on several piece of junk (most recently the sky viper GPS which we never got to sync with new iOS) and unfortunately, after a lot of tears, Target won't take it back. Any suggestions? Be nice to keep it under $200, if possible.

Didn't like so much the image coming out of this Drone. In my opinion the best budget drones are the MJX Drones. Great video though Steve and thank you for freezing yourself to bring to us good quality drone review videos. I have bought some Drones after watching your reviews because I really trust you. -19° is acceptable? I don't think so, at least not for me. I thought the drones performance was not bad? The video looks a little dark, but it's expected from a drone that's not as expensive. It reminds me of that other drone similar to that one? I can't remember the name of it, but it also has the obstacle avoidance the same way. I'm sure someone will remind me. My latest update. After much troubleshooting and changing cell phones, I finally got it into the air. I flew at night because I live near the ocean and I had to wait for the wind to calm down to a reasonable level. I'm taking baby steps with this until I'm more comfortable, so I'm only flying a few meters high and staying within 150 feet of so. I also set the flight perimeters for distance and altitude very low for safety. Here's some of the issues I had: 1) While flying I occasionally lose the ability to go left, right, forward, backward.....only up and down. I refreshed all 3 devices and still had the problem. 2) GPS follow mode seems to work, but when I go into orbit mode it just sits in one place and does not circle me. 3) While experimenting with buttons and features, I pressed "Return To Home" , the drone flew about a 100 feet away and then shot straight up going WAY past my minimum altitude setting. Being only a few blocks away from the ocean, the wind is much stronger up there. The drone lights were just a tiny speck in the sky and my heart was pounding! I pressed one key landing, return to home (again) and tried to manually descend....all to no avail. Meanwhile the remote voice was saying 'Landing, Landing...." but it just stayed up there. I ran towards the drone and got myself directly underneath it and was finally able to manually descend back to Earth far away from my launch location. Phew!! 4) I'm aware many drones tend to lose altitude when sweeping right or left....but this drone dives straight for the ground at about a 45% angle when doing so forcing me to simultaneously correct with the ascend throttle. Is this normal? 5) While testing the laser obstacle avoidance, I flew towards a building and it stopped as expected...however, I was not able to go backward, left or right....only straight down into some bushes. 6) All the beeps, whether they are alarms or just from pressing buttons are the same sound.....so when the remote starts beeping on it's own, I don't know what it's trying to tell me and there are no visual cues on either screen. 7) I'm not able to set waypoints while in the waypoint mode....I touch the screen but no dots appear. (more likely a phone, not drone, issue....but I can't seem to resolve) 8) I failed to notice if this drone could lock onto a subject and follow, as many drones do. This drone does not. It only follows the remote. I was hoping it could follow my dog up and down the beach. But again, that's on me for not paying attention when I shopped this drone. 9) It's unfortunate the nice case has no place to store the laser or the two extra batteries. I was hoping to be flying more confidently and safer sooner as I did with previous drones. I'm going to have do some tweaking and get things right before I venture off or travel with it. Any input/advice is greatly appreciated.

Seems it only follows from one distance. Just like my S188. Can't change distance or height. The moment you use the sticks it goes out of follow-me more. Which makes the feature basically worthless.

I was interested in this drone for the performance declared by the manufacturer, in particular for the altitude of 800 meters reachable from the take-off point.in your opinion what's better to buy, between SG906 MAX2 BEAST3 and M10 ULTRA? many buyers of the M10 Ultra have complained about frequent connection losses and a WIFI signal transmission range of less than 1 km. Also can you tell me something about the real maximum altitude you reached with this drone from the take-off point? Could you tell me something more about it?

I bought this drone and am trying to register it with the FAA online and it needs a serial number which I can't find anywhere and it is costing $40 to register. I thought the price to register for recreational use was $5? Any idea about where to find the serial number and is that cost right? Thanks much.

Seems like a reasonable drone at a reasonable price. I wonder how far it will actually fly under heavy, rural wifi conditions. If it's above average for a budget drone that is a super deal! Thanks for sacrificing your body for drone science yet again.

The cam is blurry. This is unusual even for a cheap drone. Maybe the lens of the cam is defect (you removed all the protective stickers, didn't you? 😬)

ya know steve....its probably WAY out of your budget... but you should move to vancouver or close to the region in BC.... we don't have those crazy cold weathers and there are endless places to get the best cinematic footage. seems impossible- cool to see how much colder and suckier the east is. This drone looks decent for price. damn DJI really sets the bar high
