I have this stand it's awesome! I shoot traditional too. You forgot one major step . It comes with stabilizing straps they make the top rock solid. Also in the manual you dont have to use the screws to unlock the belt . The manufacturer said they added them for the person that's wants to fell more safer but not required.

These are great. One good thing about it is that if you need to set up so that you’re facing the tree, you can set the seat a little higher than normal and sit on or lean against that “sit/climb” bar and be set up similar to using a saddle. Works especially great when paired with a lightweight rock climbing harness with the loop up front versus the treestand style full body harness.

trees with bark suck my bottom dropped out about 20 feet up i had to stuggle pulling the emergency cord. lived to tell the tale

I like your videos. I purchased this stand because of being cheap and not wanting to buy lone wolf. Wasn’t real happy it was really squeaky after a few hunts. I upgraded to lone wolf assault hand climber I like it way better. Keep the videos coming great job...

Great review, I’m really thinking of getting one. Been using a Cougar claw and a hang on. Yet a slim climber would be perfect for the Georgia public land I hunt. Keep up the great work and videos.

I had one but sold it. I'm a smaller guy (5'4" -n- 150lbs) and it doesn't feel very safe for me for some reasons. I've only climbed it once and I returned it. I climbed a tree with rough barks similar to the one here, and the cables were very flimsy that it keeps getting caught on the tree barks, especially going up. Also, it wobbles and it felt very unsafe for me as I have to be extra careful and take my time going up and down the tree... Maybe because I'm not heavy enough to put enough pressure on it or something. Though, it's only for me... everyone has their own experience with it.

Except for the pins, square aluminum tubing, and extra space for the tree trunk, this looks very similar to the Lone Wolf. I would not hesitate to buy this stand. I think this one is only one lb more than the unavailable Lone Wolf.

I wished LWCG would bring out they’re climber you can’t find these anywhere. I’ve got a summit open shot I’ve had for like 12 years and is a awesome stand but the older I get the harder it is to use without the sit and climb

Look into voile straps. I use 2 on mine and its much better than using bungees

I would like to try one of these but man that summit I have is like a lazy boy in the tree..It'sa little more bulky and heavy but so comfortable..I wish I could try one though..

Put silicone bow string wax on the screws. No smell and makes them silent.

The traction belts are not the same according to the xop website. Plainly states NOT FOR LW! That would be to easy for us unfortunate bastards with a LW and now can't buy any belts since they don't make them anymore.

I’ve thought I was set on the hand climber until this! The weight difference isn’t a huge deal. 3 or 4 pounds. I like the curved back bar! I like the big platform and think I’d sit longer with the hammock style seat. I do wonder about the moving parts! I feel like after a bunch of use could become noisy!? I think if I had already got the hand climber that I was mostly certain I wanted because of your video I may be upset after watching this!!

Plus my lone wolf is on a tree and ready to climb in a 3rd of the time it take to set this one up.

With the long wolf you have to carry the sticks and the stand platform it's got to be almost the same amount of weight here you don't have the sticks

I probably already know the answer to this, BUT, would this stand compare in comfortability to the Summit Viper? My viper feels like a recliner…

I had a sit and climb slip on me yesterday morning. Scared the 💩 out of me lol. I was tied off. Actually the top platform just fell. I careful pulled it up, and then carefully descended the tree. Idk what the trees size was, but the belts went around ok. Any idea what maximum tree size is? I didn’t buy it new, so don’t have the manual.

Thanks for the video! Very informative! I like the curved bar to facilitate easier climbing, but the knob to release the belt seems way too time consuming, especially if you have to take both of them out to even up each side (which is required at times). Not sure what the price difference is vs. the LW sit and climb, but looks like a worthy competitor. Great job!

I know nothing about climbers. Always hunt in lock ons. These straps on these climbers sketch me out. What are they made out of? How safe are they?
