The Mars Guass MD seems deeper than the dues 2 especially considering you used L3 power. I went to a rally here in the UK just a few days ago and out of 69 people I got the most coins and silvers x4 Inc a large Full Victorian silver Crown at over two pin pointers depth with ease. Using L5 Au sens high. Also hit a small silver thin sixpence both the Dues and CTX could not see. You should have seen the guys faces when I dug that thin tiny silver. Wish I had a 🤳 :)
@@followivankrause3673 yea it's a great detector and between the Mars and Aka great fun hunting out old sites finding deep targets while rejecting iron. I got a Quazar Arm today to play with. Alot of settings too. You can use many coils even from other detectors quite interesting
The thing is that large coil actually detect with less depth then a small coil. It has to do with the max 1 watt output and the resistance of the copper wire in the coil that increase with the length. Also how the wire is mounted inside the coil affect the depth the detector can create a magnetic field in the coin. Braided wires is better then parallel wires. The difference is not much between a large and a small coil. People find more things with a large coil because it covers more ground. Use the smallest coil you have and compare it with the largest you have. If you want to go deeper you need to install a booster and increase the output of the watt. All detectors sold in USA is by law limited to one watt. Therefor there is no difference on depth on detectors, only signal interpretation and discrimination. The C-scoope detector I had 40 years ago detected the same depth as a new detector does. It's simple electronic rules.
You could look at an Aka or Mars these detectors are not controlled by FCC laws. The Aka intronic that I use also uses different technology to all USA made detectors the Nautilus being close running both all metal and discrimination circuits. The Intronik in my personal opinion is currently the deepest seeking detector on the market. Closely followed by Aka Signum MFD HM, Mars Guass MD and a few others made in Turkey that have great depth. The Nexus top models do well too but out of 36 detectors I own and have tested in mine and others test beds the Intronik is doing the business but then you have the large 1800 $ pricetag to match it's performance too
@@mammydammy 36? After watching countless of videos, I wouldn't choose neither of those. But I have not used them my self. At the moment I am using a Nokta Macro Racer 2. It is stable and find hammereds even at beaches where black sand streaks is clearly visible on the surface of the sand.
