Thanks for posting the vid, so that others know about an approach to leveling up quickly. I farm S1, 19-9 all day, primarily for food and iron (building costs for HA are sky high!). Sure, I pay 100 gems for a WE refill several times per day, but just take a look at the absurd gem costs in the shop for food or iron -- the gem cost for WE refill farming gives you iron, food, recruits, XP, etc. Just put in the time for farming, definitely worth it. I'm currently at Level 86 and level-up about every 4-5 days; farm upwards of 2 million iron per day.
Exactly!! In the same logic it doesn't make sense to use gems on the daily summons as they could be put toward more farming that would get us more feeders than single pull!

Wow, this great. I hope it will be a game changer for me. I'm burnt out waiting for ascension mats with too many 5*s and not able to use them. I've recently changed to c2p since my funding is as low as it can get. These kind of helpful guides keep me interested since I like playing the game.
So glad that I watched this. Great perspective. Well some questions come to mind. Like - best auto farm team? How to place heroes for maximum efect? Wich heroes are best suitable for auto farming? Oh, I must ask about power leveling a hero. How to do that? I saw some videos on how to power level a hero in one hour or so and didn't understand a thing in those videos. Thank you. For farming in the hard levels of Season 3, I am using Boldtuck for healing/attack boost, White Rabbit for defense down, Jabberwock to remove the monsters on the wings and big final hit to Boss, Ariel for mana boost/healing and finally Mitsuko for the Ice reflect on the big boss! On other levels I swap in Ursena to reflect the Holy bosses. As for power leveling a hero, I do have a video on here were I got 5* Alfrike to 3/70 in only 13 feedings (fair warning, I fed 64 duplicates of 5* to make that happen!). Other players that power level leave the TCs running and do not collect there heroes until they are ready to feed. We can also leave the regular summons to collect until there are a ton of those to use. The challenge is the food. The best place to store food has been TC20. I am playing around with storing food in HA7 now. We'll see if that works.

Just one small thing to note though... when you have 6 flags to burn you get slightly more xp (2370 vs 2247) if you use s3 10-10 on normal mode, instead of s1 20-4. Not a big difference but every little bit counts, right? lol Only found this out as I got curious after watching this video and started experimenting myself... keep up the good work :)
Excellent observation. As I have been plugging 1/20/4 out of habit and I only use it when my remainder is "6 flags," I have not investigated a better option. I appreciate that tip. I suspect there is significantly more food/iron there as well since S3 pays out better than most.
Mr E&P Books, This is my favorite video of yours. I found it extremely useful and helpful and it justified a lot of what I was doing but also taught me a lot. The map/game has changed a lot and I'm wondering if there's strategies you use. I guess what I'm asking is you to make this video but updated. I imagine you can't be leveling like you were, I imagine you're throwing away some of your challenge attempts to get high scores. Also because it gets exponentially harder. But I think you're still the best at it. I feel like I've stagnated and there's stupid mistakes I make. When it comes to farming XP. Always doing quests. Opening my chest almost exclusively with 7-4. Etc. I'd love to chat about this I hope you see this message because it's on a really old video. I guess I'd love a video of pitfalls people make when trying to level. Like they're doing it wrong how to do it best.One thing I saw that upset me was a lot of people didn't like the Ninja Tower so they just let it go but there was a lot of XP to be had there. Those are some examples. But I'd like any pointers in a new video on XP farming would be great!
Hello JML, I am glad you enjoyed this video and that you found it helpful. I am currently at player level 129 (54% to 130). As for this video, it is still 100% accurate and there is no need to update it because the math has not changed at all. I am closely watching Season 3 to note when it eclipses S2 for the best XP per TICKET (it will) or XP per FLAG (it might). I do not bother watching XP on events that can only be done one time-like the Ninja Tower. I enjoy them for what they are and take whatever XP comes along with it. That is true for all of the quests as well. I complete every one for the sake of completing and don't bother over the XP. The only thing that has changed for me since this video is: 1. I stopped farming Rare-3 in the Monthly Challenge Events. Although it has the best XP per FLAG in the game, it provides no food or iron. I need those resources in massive quantities so I can't waste time gathering XP without getting Food and Iron. Rare-3 is also very slow in gaining XP per TIME ... 2. When I made this video, I was concentrating on XP per TICKET and XP per FLAG. I am now focused on XP per TIME. That said, I play one of two locations now: S1/17/1 and S3/1/3 Hard. Those two places I get the best XP per TIME and they both provide a huge amount of food and iron. Hope that helps!

Thanks, have now switched to XP farming (was going max recruits) and will see how it goes. I am mostly consrained by legendary heroes (i have about 70 4* AMs) and being cheap-to-play want to keep two TC20 running (so recruits will still be pretty important).
Thank you so much for this valuable intel. Since I watched your video i have started auto farming Season 3 15-10 Hard. And i haven't died once. Using Wilber,Heimdall,Telluria,Ursena and Ariel. Ursena is key as their her special reflect there attack. Which insane healing i am coasting thru the stages with ease.
Excellent glad that is working for you. Keep in mind, I am farming in S3 based on XP (and food/iron) per time AND per flag. I would be curious how fast your team is autofarming that level. You are definitely getting better total numbers of XP/Food/Iron, but dividing that by 11 flags instead of my 10. Time would be the other consideration. A team with 3 healers and Wilbur is no moving very fast so you might not be getting as many players per hour. Good luck!

The real answer, of reaching lvl 107 in 80 weeks, is.... (wait for it)... MONEY. I played for 3 years now, and I have bought a lot of tickets, but I'm lvl 86. So, the truth is you got to be a little rich, to reach this lvl in 80 weeks. Keep control of the money you spend, people. Some players have no limit.
Is there anything we do in life that can't be improved or sped up with money? Having money doesn't simply get one to level 107 in 80 weeks. Money, like anything else, needs to be efficiently used.
I agree with you ISUSbeat, this type of player is simply an instigation to gambling and impulsive shop. Happy to spend thousands of euros, I certainly do not judge his wallet, much less his "races"
Great video. I'm onboard with XP farming but can't keep up with you (and I have E&P burned into my phone screen from farming so much). Wait til you have a kid, Rare level 3 won't seem so bad, in fact just the free time to pull your phone out of your pocket to farm will seem like a win ;)
I hope you are planning to update this valuable info, especially relating to xp/ flag as that is very useful to regular pace players. I imagine some better places might have been discovered, now that season 3 has been concluded, and the new Valhalla Forever is about to be introduced. Thanks for all you efforts and shared expertise.
Well, XP per ticket id definitely 3/36/10 Hard now :) As for XP/per flag there have been some levels that are better than AR, but he question is can players successfully autofarm them without losses? I have a dedicated team for autofarming S3/1/3 Hard as I am getting XP fast there, but inefficient for flag usage. Even with that, I have an occasional loss due to the runic stones. I would hate to see players gambling expensive flags on possible losses.

i'm hesitant to switch over to XP farming because, as a mid-game player (level 33), my current dilemma is that i have too many unleveled heroes of varying rarities, so i need to get as many recruits as quickly as i can for feeder heroes. (it took me a while to learn and see how to "store" recruits and food in training camps-would have been nice if i figured that out when i started or even like a month or so earlier than when i actually did.) i do definitely see the appeal because, even before the refill consideration, the added WE flags over time mean more opportunities to play levels, so farming for everything else will take care of itself. maybe i'll try it when i see i'm close (30% left) to the next level and see what changes.
At a minimum, I would strongly advise using loot tickets, during Atlantis, to gain maximum XP. It is the fastest way to jump up levels ... can be better than farming XP all month.
@@EmpiresandPuzzlesBooks oh for sure, i've started saving WE flasks and loot tickets for AR. i gained like two levels that weekend two months ago and another one and a half last month.
i think about this video a lot when i play the game now. one observation/ question i've come up with since i last commented on this video has to do with AR. i spent this month's AR actually playing through the map because i stopped in Province 16. i stopped once i got to 25 and spent the rest of the weekend using up loot tickets and WE flasks, and this is where i started to question: do i use my loot tickets on the highest XP level per ticket? or do i stick with 6.10 or 6.9 for most efficient XP per WE flag? i forget the exact numbers, but it worked out something like this: if i opted for method A, i'd be getting between 10-12k XP per WE flask; if i opted for method B, i'd get about 25k XP per WE flask, but i'd be using a lot more loot tickets. i decided to go with option B because my flasks were more scarce, and i wanted to save gems for other purposes than refilling WE. it worked out because playing the levels so many times with many more loot tickets meant i got way more crafting items, Atlantis Coins, food, iron, and everything else. so even within XP farming, there are a whole bunch of ways to go about it!
Hello Joseph, First thanks for watching and commenting. Second, I would strongly encourage completing Atlantis as the rewards are huge! I would do 2-3 levels every day, throughout the month, to get it completed. In this video I address 2 ways to look at XP: XP per FLAG and XP per TICKET. As indicated in the video, I strongly recommend using loot tickets on the highest available XP per ticket level. Once AR is completed, that is currently 2/27/10 Hard. I actually use tickets on 2/27/9 because it has more chances for the Orichalcum Seadragon that drops Atlantis coins. Once tickets are used on the highest available XP level, then I would suggest going for the next XP per FLAG as indicated in the video. Whatever level of Atlantis you are on, I would try to complete that level on Hard as you will get much more XP than Normal. For me, now, I am concentrating on XP per TIME as since I started working remotely I keep the game autofarming most days so I am interested in maximizing the efficiency of my TIME not of my FLAGS. Hope this helps!
Not sure if farming for xp gives you enough backpacks recruits etc is true for most players, since most players don't spend money for WE-flasks or gem refills, which means you don't farm enough those levels for the mats to pile up too. But yeah liked the video wanted to just point out.
What team of heroes are you using for auto farming hard levels? I'm using Tarlak, Ares, Drake Fong, Athena, Seshat and it seems to work pretty well, but I'm sure there is better to work towards.

Question for you: What if any of the quests do you bother to do? Obviously your doing the Trials Quests and the rare quests such as Taverns of Legends etc. But what about the other quests like Gather Food, Gather Iron, Find Recruits, Find Battle Items, FInd Battle Items II etc. Just looking for some guidance as to what is decent and what is a waste of time. I'm lower level and have not progressed past S2 normal mode stage 20. Should I use all my loot tickets on that, when we have Atlantis Rises? Or should I wait and save them until I've reached 27-9 down the road? Edit: never mind, I didn't finish the video, and now see at 12:07 that you recommend S2 9.9 and 9.10 :)
Hello, I would not use loot tickers on 2/9/ or 2/9/10 NORMAL to maximize XP per FLAG! That is where I would use flags during the event. To maximize XP per TICKET, I would use them on the highest level on S2 Hard that you have completed.
I'm curious. How can you auto farm all day? I'm aware about the auto play button, but we still have to attend to the game every 2-3 minutes to push the replay button.
Yes, that is exactly right. I click the auto play button every 2 minutes or so. I actually find the game helps my pace when running so it helps count off the time! :) Wife and I snuggling on the couch with a movie and we both have our games autoplaying ... not really a hassle/distraction. I tend to do a lot of work online so I have the phone on the desk next to me while I work.

Should I be farming S3/1/3 if I only have 34 WE flags? It is giving me lots of food and iron but I’m only getting it 3 times before I have to wait? Should I stick with 20/4 till I level up a bit more?
@@scottishbeef6989 That is a good question and it does depend on where you are at in the game. If I was at 34 flags, I would probably be replaying the other levels I mentioned just to be getting all of the other resources and some of the mare better XP/Flag. 17/1 or 20/4 in S1 are probably great starting levels.
Is there a maximum level? Which quests are good for exp/resources? I am f2p so i have to play this differently but when i have tickets might use em on HARD2.27.9 AR cos i've been doing 2.13.1 and 2.18.10 and auto 2.9.4.
Not sure what you mean by a maximum level? Every month there are 3 new provinces opening in Season 3 Valhalla. Not sure what will happen when we get to the end of that season. I assume Season 4. I haven't paid attention to the quests output of exp/resources as I just knock them out as soon as they appear.
@@deibamaikawideiba if you're a free to play player, just put it on autofarm on sez2 province 9.9. And the loot tickets, you can use them on higher provinces, on hard mode. The rest of the month, if you don't have a strong team, you can farm on 12.9 sez1. Good xp, for 4 flags.
@@deibamaikawideiba i don't think it is a maximum lvl for the players. But it's getting really hard to lvl up after level 80. I'm currently on lvl 86 and I have to do about 2.6 milion xp, to reach the next level.
It varies depending on the month, but I suspect most players would find that I spend heavy. That will be slowing down now as all of my buildings are nearly finished, my roster is extremely full (230 fully-leveled heroes and many more at 3/70).
You stated in the video that you don't farm from recruits and that the houses are maxed so you get recruits from there. What did you do to get recruits before you were that highly built up? I have switched where I can to farming for XP but I keep running into that issue of low recruits and still do need to hit up 8-7. Also to keep having the loot tixs to be able to do this then there's money involved, you did say you purchase the loot ticket offers which I'm glad you said that. As f2p or c2p play that isn't always possible so hitting up some of these levels with loot tixs would only be a once in awhile thing. I do buy VIP when they do the sales on it, that is good value. 15-9 when AR is on I can auto farm and get recruits but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to auto farm the last or second last stage of AR so my loot tixs would get used up quick if I hit those up. Just some observations really, you've put a lot of time and effort in to set yourself up this way which is fantastic. I don't suppose you would do a video similar to this from the f2p or c2p play perspective or for when players are still lower levels and looking for best autoplay options for XP?
Those are very fair observations and I appreciate that F2P/C2P have limitations on where/when they can farm. Anything I share would need to be scaled (up or down) depending on the budget (or no budget if F2P) that players use. I have always farmed a lot, not as much as I do now, but even early on I was getting enough recruits to keep the TCs running. The challenge is if players are using TCs that process tons of recruits quickly. Speed costs in this game so if you are F2P/C2P, then there needs to be consideration for a slower approach. If you look at the TCs, running TC 11 "costs" 1 recruit per hour. If all four are running at TC11 that is 4 per hour or 96 per day. That should not be hard to manage with typical game play. However, that is putting out feeder heroes at a slower rate than some of the more attractive levels like TC 2 that would need 40 per hour to keep 4 TC2s running which is 960 recruits per day! I think it might be a more budget-minded approach to calculate how many recruits a player can reasonably get in a day and decide which TCs to operate. I guess that would also cut down on the "where do I find backpack" questions as it would slow the rate of processing down and they would last longer ... thinking this might need to be another video :)

Yes I run 2 TC 11s even if it is slower it's budget conscience and once in awhile when I do have recruits I'll switch one to TC19 for quick feeders. I run a TC 20 and switch the other back and forth between TC1 and TC2. I'm really only able to do that thanks to AR but i'm also leveled enough to have a decent amount of we. Most wouldn't be so this is definitely good info to share
@@lplaygames45 Early on I mostly used 3X TC11 and 1 TC2. I almost never use TC19 as it is a monster waste of food. There are basically 3 excessive food charges with TC19. 1. Food per minute to run it is incredibly high. 2. Feeder heroes come out so fast that the food cost to feed them gets very high, very quickly, and 3 Worst of all, all of the food goes into producing measly 1* heroes-no chance for 2s, so there is a HUGE cost of food to use 1s over 2s over and over again. There really is little value in TC19. It is a HUGE food waste for speed and convenience.
@@EmpiresandPuzzlesBooks I don't consider it a waste and I used to run 3 TC 11s and the 4th went back between TC 1&2 but I am leveled more and can run it once in awhile. Besides I'm not a spender so I don't run out of food constantly because I need to level up the huge hero collection I have. That's your game which is cool but that's exactly why I asked if you'd do another video as we aren't all that way. Breaking down the math of it like you did on the TCs was cool and it would be great to see a variety of options and this video has good info just an idea to expand it 😉
At the top of the battel screen, next to the "flee" button is an "auto" button. When a new map or quest level starts, click that button and the game plays itself. I do this many hours a day while I do other things so that it keeps farming for me.

Do you do that in order to save loot tickets? I don't personally find that the computer makes good choices and can win against the challenging levels I've previously won so I use loot tickets on those. Thank you for replying.
I am level 30 but have not spent a lot of money so my heroes are fairly weak compared to what they could. Are there lower levels that would be worth to auto farm to gain more xp?
@@EmpiresandPuzzlesBooks Why do you complete every quest? I noticed the XP increase seems nominal on some quests and there are hardly any mats at times.
The fastest way to fill the monster chest is S1/7/4. I will do that sometimes to just knock it out or sometimes I just keep farming S3/1/3 Hard until it fills. I never allow a chest to sit. I fill them as soon as they are open and I advance them whenever possible.
Great content and videos. Now that we’ve progressed deeper in season 3, what are your thoughts on loot tickets there? I figure the experience is slightly better than season 2, 27/9 during Atlantis, but at the cost of 2 more energy flags and less loot still doesn’t make it comparable.
S2/27/9 Hard gives 4,550. S3/27/10 Hard gives 4,490. S3 is not going to be competitive anytime soon when we factor the 50% more loot and reduced flag cost of AR weekend.
Why do you recommend S2 p27 s9 hard when xp gain is only 414xp/flag? (4550 xp / 11 flags). Edit: nm, I see now, because it would take 3 tickets on S2 p9 s9 normal to get the same xp as one ticket on S2 p27 s9 hard. Follow up question: can you get Atlantis coins from the special monster when you use tickets?

@@BestforAll_12 I turned a forge into the Lab and a forge into the barracks. I leave 2 forges open and switch one to the Hunter's lodge as needed. One of the TCs became the HA.
The Hero Academy is a training camp. It even says so at the bottom. Unlike a normal TC that only trains on one level, the HA trains on two levels. That said, I put the HA over a TC. I have up 1 TC to gain 2.
I'm curently at 28 lvl and have 28 WE. Which province do you recommend me to farm for increase my lvl fast? I'm at 22/4 season I, and only 8/8 season II for now.
There is a benefit to completing Season 1 as the prizes at the end are wonderful, but I would focus getting as far into Season 2 as you can. If I was starting over, my goal would be to get the end of Season 2. Once all provinces are open in S2 we can play the hard levels in any order. That said, I would look to complete 2/27/9 Hard as soon as possible to use loot tickets there for maximum XP. Early on it is tough as we do not have many flags and farming XP on higher levels will use up a bunch of our flags which is why I get more WE flasks in the shop. Short-term expense for long-term gain.
I don't think I mentioned it and I never really counted, but it takes maybe half an hour to get through one 71-flag flask for me on S3/1/3 Hard .... so maybe 8-10 flask per day depending on how busy I am. As I said in the video, I keep it rolling for a lot of the day. I just got back from the gym and did an hour on the treadmill with that level repeating the entire time and went through 2 flasks.
I normally skip crafting materials quests, mainly because they take too much flags. I'm now wondering if they are good xp value per flag. Have you assessed them?
I have not evaluated them as they are not something we can replay/farm. For what its worth, I always do every quest that pops up. Some do take a lot of flags which is just another reason to keep farming for XP!
That depends on what you are hoping to gain. I am going for XP per TIME as I keep it farming for most of the day and I have found that the FASTEST XP is had on 3/1/3 Hard (and 1/17/1). If you are looking for max XP per Loot ticket or the efficiency of XP per flag, that would be different levels.
Yes, I did not use to do this. I only started heavily gem-flasking when COVID hit and we went to remote work so I pretty much farm all day when I am able to now.
I'm starting to now, I'm done with doing pulls going to use my tokens next month hopefully for HOTM I'm guessing 100 gems on a flask is more valuable spending on pulls, is there any good ways of getting WE Flasks?
Right now I am focused on XP per time. I am hunting maximum XP that I can gain in the shortest amount of time ... so it is a balance of a lot of XP and quick playing levels.
@@Derrid92 I'm not sure what you mean by "fast." I farm for fast XP by finding the levels that I can farm the fastest while gaining the most XP. That will depend on each player's heroes and how fast they can auto farm a level. If you are looking for for the most XP for your 42 flags, I explain that in detail in the video.
My typically day is this: When I get up I hit the Titan, fill a raid Flask to burn those flags, and then complete any new quests. The rest of the day I just have S3/1/3 Hard playing over and over. I just got back from the gym and did an hour on the treadmill with that level repeating the entire time. When raid flags get full again, I advance the raid chest and fill it again and go back to S3/1/3 Hard. ...repeat.

@@watsong The team is very intentional: BT and Ariel both are there for added healing as on Hard we take some real hits and if the Relic stones clog up the center of the board it can get ugly for a bit. BT gives Attack Up and Ariel gives Mana Up. Hatter and Jabber enjoy family bonus of increased mana and critical hit and are the hard hitters. Jabberwock also resolves the wing monsters on the boss stage or delivers the kill shot to the boss if those monsters are dead. Mitsuko often resolves the boss herself with her reflect of Ice.
I get some from 3/1/3 Hard, but it is the only resource in the game that I run low on. When that happens, I revert to 1/23/3 as I am getting more rounds in per WE flask.
That is a fair observation. I don't overstate that I am P2P and maybe I should. I would say that the strategies that I utilize can be scaled to whatever budget (or no budget!) a player uses. The logic does not change, just the speed at which it can be accomplished. Money in this game is the tool of the impatient and I am definitely impatient. My wife is C2P and utilizes these strategies and is leveling up quickly.

@@Jon1009654 That last level currently available, on Hard, is 4,690 XP (3/33/10 H) compared to 2/27/10 at 4,650. S3 also gives more food/iron (outside of Atlantis Rises). Atlantis Rises is also 3 flags less than then normal 15 flags.
You can neven convince me that you have reached lvl 107 in 80 weeks.I have been playing for 19 months now wich is almost the same amount of time.Either you buy 100 WE flasks every week or this is not your account or you have played for at least 3 years and more.And the other thing about gaining a lvl every week sounds redicilous.
You are welcome to believe whatever you wish to believe. I share what I learn about the game and you can do what you want with it. This video was posted 11 days ago and I am now level 109 (23% to level 110). My journey is well documented on Facebook and I have no reason to lie. I started playing in January of 2019.
@@MrDotamasta I saw another comment in this thread in which he estimates that he burns through about 8-10 World Energy flasks a day, which suggests he spends in the hundreds of dollars per month just on flasks. That's probably the difference you're seeing.
