People make fun of him but OSRS is literally his livelyhood. Not only does he make money off it, play it all the time, and care about it... He genuinely likes the game. This tournament was a 1-3 year wait. It was for like 35-50k and one of the biggest events in OSRS. People spent countless hours preparing, hoping to make it to the finals.... For the servers to be awful. The company in charge decided it was a good idea not to rerun the event. This is raw emotion from someone who legitimately cares about the thing they do for a living. I feel bad for him because dumbass little kids and idiotic adults don't understand what it's like to love something and want it to be the best it can be, so they just talk shit and make fun of him.

People like to shit on Odablock, but I kinda see where he’s coming from. Deadman Mode is ALWAYS a disaster due to server issues. Every single time. There’s actual cash prizes at stake and it’s just a crapshoot every time lmao
A large portion of the issues also have to do with DDoS’ing being used to provide advantages to some players. It prevents others from knowing when to heal or change setup or prayer options and provides a really bad advantage to the cheaters. Jamflex does a poor job combating this problem.
@@nicholasbreecher9315 I dont think you understand what you are talking about, you are talking about client side DDOS attacks not server side. Clans would steal your IP from TS servers and then when you were in tournament take your router offline not the server. On that note, how can you blame Jagex when the host was being attacked? Other sites went down during the attack not just Runescape so it was a large scale botnet attack. Only a handful of companies are able to withstand an attack like this because they have paid a shit ton of money into software such as Secure X solution or created an inhouse solution like Steam did with how traffic is routed and making honey pots for the ddos attacks. Jagex have done the best they can with the funds / tools they have on a game /infrastructure that was designed back in 2003 for Java. They have said in a news post that they will re-run the final once new protections have been put in place, these changes will take time, you don't just plug in a magic box and it there you have it ddos protection. Finally OSRS is one of the only games I know of where the Game Devs actively listen to the community and try to do best by them, they literally ask the community before every major update what they want. I think Blizzard fanboys would be foaming at the mouth for this kind of treatment.
The reason why Oda wasn’t so popular like XQC and Tyler 1 was mainly because he played RuneScape, and the audience of Tyler 1 and XQC are 16 year olds who were too young to even get a chance to play RuneScape back in the day. No hate, just explaining.
As someone in the osrs community oda having our backs against an idiot company that is hiring more weirdos a day that do nothing but make weird tweets that they think are funny
