Because its assumed that 10 feet tall would be like a normal 10 feet human. Same organ size. But with 3 stories it's assumed that your organs and other body parts also grow to match.

the other option is be an inch tall, which a person could step on you and easily kill you. Being 3 stories tall, although there would be health risks at the very least you would at least live for a certain amount of years before death. The question is really die now or die in a few years.
