Also, Xqc talking about the pain is normal with non lose-your-toes frostbite. Iirc there are 3 degrees and Xqc had the 2nd. The body tries to regenerate itself and often it involves replacing a lot of tissue. The digits become red and swollen and it's painful af but you at least don't lose them. Big pain = your body is huffing and puffing trying to save your toes/fingers = good.

Yeah i know what's he talking about, when i was 19 i went to friend house and we slept outside at fire, in my country once a year people go out and make big fires and shit, and we made a big fire got drunk got some chairs and slept at the fire. Overnight, the weather changed immediatly and it started snowing, i woke up and i literally was covered in snow, my friend too. We couldnt feel our legs, we got some sticks and went inside, stood by the living room that had a big fireplace. We've put our legs in hot water to help too, our lips hurt extremely bad, our hair was literally frozen, our fingers nails we're going towards black, and our legs barely had any feelings in them, after a while we felt our legs and an immense pain came, it hurt so badly. it felt like our blood was frozen and it melted, and was flowing again, it felt like it was pushing as x says, it was horrible. we went to the hospital after, our doctors we're literally annoyed with us because we fell asleep outside. it was like we wanted to kill ourselfs and they we're mad about it, we we're literally like an stupid grey anatomy character that came to hospital with a knife in their head.

Biggest tip I have for anyone that might visit colder parts of earth is: get boots that fit you only with thick woolly socks. They should be too big with normal socks. Your biggest enemy is too tight clothes, they reduce blood circulation near the skin which makes cold. Never wear 2 layers of socks, your toes will freeze. Instead wear thicker socks.
