I probably would have cleaned the ports up for some smoother running nothing else. Rub the head mating surface on a level surface, Not knowing where the head came from so as just to be safe.. We all have our little quirks , Not to criticize your work. Well done.
Ive heard countless times to replace the valve springs and keepers on mine, keepers I will let slide but springs I understand, did you replace springs on yours? And if so where did you find them for an 82?
My springs were within spec so I kept them but you can get springs and valves from kibblewhite. I had a bent valve from the timing being off and it coming in contact with the piston.
@@WeekendAdventureRides okay I have a machine shop that helped a lot in the rebuild of my dune buggy from the block up with the most absurd modifications, I know springs are something that if you have the specs can be ordered elsewhere, so I may give him a try, I will still be glued to this stream as I figured out a lot of next steps watching it
I’m rebuilding an 84 XR 350 R and can’t seem to find the exhaust valves and I need them. When I pulled the head off I found the piston was broken. Well of course the pieces went through the exhaust and bent the valves. Any suggestions?
Interesting... kibblewhite doesn't have a valve listed... I was able to find one on ebay looks to be oem... I would start there. If you can't find what you are looking for there I would try "honda parts direct". Hope this is helpful
Hey I have a question I recently did my valve seals on my 83 atc 185 and those little clip things you put in when you have the spring compressed I could not get them in I did get them In it took me probably 2 hours is there a easy way to do this without them falling out when I release the tool. Thank you your videos are 👌
