Thanks for the great tip! I have seriously consdering to get xreal and beam however i have watched your pros and cons on beam as well 1) with this sideload jailbreaking, is it a reversible process? (In case i decide to reset and sell it) 2) for beam is there a way to stabilise the screen when you tilt your head? 3) is the spatial feature very important to prevent eye fatigue based in your experience? The reason why im asking is because im weighing the option to use Rokid station instead, or whether the combination of both station and beam will solve the problems? What are your thoughts on this. Thanks mate! Really love your honest feedbacks and sharing
You don't even need to jailbreake it anymore, there's a new update that authomatically installs Netflix and Prime on it, and you can add other apk apps. this is way better than Rokid station.
Thanks for making these tips videos! Watched most of your videos, and trying to see if there are any ways to play Playstation 4 with this glass..I have Beam but not finding the solution to use the glass on PS4. Do you know anything about PS4 on Xreal w/ Beam?
You'd have to use a keyboard that doesn't require a code, mine didn't. From what i've heard though, you can use an app to turn your phone into a keyboard the beam can connect to via Bluetooth so that may be an option.
Was struggling to get xreal or rokid becoz of the lack of app support on beam vs rokid station. If the app problem is solved can I take xreal use as a rokid station with 3dof?
After you jailbreak your beam can you upload PS remote play and moonlight to link to your PC? I just subscribed to your channel thank you for all the feedback
When I connected the iClever ic-bk08 foldable bluetooth keyboard, which I already had, I was able to connect. I brought up the menu…but it was divided in two parts both at the top of the screen. One to the left, the other to the right. Also my keyboard’s cursor can’t “click” on anything so I couldn’t drag anything down. What’s confusing is that split view. With it displaying it this way there doesn’t seem to be a way to drag that bar (again split into two parts, left and right side of screen) down so I’m able to reach that settings option. Even if I could, I wouldn’t be able to click it. I could buy your recommended keyboard, but again…before doing anything the screen is split into those two darn parts…. :(
Unfortunately yes, but it's not the type of Jailbreak like in cell phones, more like "side load." It's nothing that will harm your beam even if you mess up, and it's very easy to do.
@@KingKola_U would think that xbeam would add the function of installing apps out of the box, madness that u cannot. Whats yur thoughts on this? Thx man, wish u the best ;)
@navinbhandari2001 I do agree, the more reasonable thing to do would've been to allow the installation of apps out the box. There was a time i didn't even use my beam for about a month because i found it useless since my phone had dex. But now though, i'm extremely excited haing this update and capability.
@@KingKola_thats me, I bought the xreal got the beam and have not used it since unboxing. I have an iphone and cannot do anything other than screen mirroring ..tomorrow i will try jailbreak this mofo lol
@@KingKola_ thanks for getting back to me , it might be vent was covered , and I had it plugged in socket at the same time using it , is that ok or better don't charge while using it ? for that reason going hot ?
This takes the Beam to a new dimension. Now it is almost perfect, only missing the multi screen and Nebula. Is it possible to load Nebula into the Bean? (😂 Bean, I won't correct this spelling mistake) I love your videos, they are useful and well explained.
I did install Nebula on the beam, and it opens but won't load. I think it's because it simply doesn't have enough ram to process it. There's really no benefit of eva launcher on a phone though, nebula give the xreal far better capabilities than eva laucher can.
@@KingKola_ managed to get this working, had to buy a keyboard without an adaptor, can u plz make a video on apps for this thing. Whats the best app for 3D movies? Thanks bro
Was disappointed with mine and sent it back for a refund. Spatial 330" didn't work with the installed apps. And for the price the phone was a better option
You're lucky that this keyboard doesn't require pin input upon connection to Bluetooth. I have a similar foldable, but it requires a pin. Unsuccessful in connecting to the beam.
Interesting... From what i've heard though, you can use an app to turn your phone into a keyboard the beam can connect to via Bluetooth so that may be an option.
Beam is so unnecessary, if they could have put the display modes into the glasses. Airplay is all you really need to get stuff off of your phone into this thing.
