I have a 2018 Hilux. I ended up mounting the base unit in the top glove box compartment, next to an openable A/C vent, ensuring it gets a cooling source.

We got a XRS370C good tips yet to install as waiting on the facia adapter to come in the mail. Installing on a newly acquired 2021 Fortuner 4wd for our recovery and camera vehicle for our off road antics in the softroaders. We've used GME since the start of my adult life and the old big sized TX sized unit still works, till today in our old wagon. Can't go wrong with brand 🇦🇺👍 can't wait to get the new xrs unit into our new 4wd 👌
