i was looking to get D9S but it have 6500mAh battery with bigger screen & that mean the battery will not last long without charging! while the D8W 10000mAh with small screen & i was disappointed! thats was really weird for me! but still D8 is a beast. Xtool nailed it with their tools awesome features & subscription & prices! i bought D8W & it's in the way. 58
I bought a D7 specifically for a 1999 Dodge Grand caravan and it was a no go. Sent that back and got a D8. The PCM was accessible, mostly. On 2003 and earlier it is very sketchy. If it would at least READ the PCM, BCM and TCM I would be happy. Works much better on my 2006.
Luchnia I have seen so many rave reviews out there about the xtools, but when I see a review from day to day mechanics that have to work with these for a living the reviews say to stay away from xtools and say they are all hype and don't do hardly anything they say giving false codes, incorrect data, and modules not working that work on other scanners used at the same time for comparison. Just a concerned consumer that wants to get the best bang for the buck I can get for myself.
I have heard that this is not what you are showing it does not actually work, , there are many saying that this unit xtool d8 is rubbish don't buy can you explain, as I was thinking of buy one ?
A cautionary note from personal experience. I purchased one of these last December. I used ir a bit but noticed the TPMS data displayed was incorrect . Hoping that there has been a software update since then. I returned the unit to Amazon and got a refund. Purchased a different brand.
I've had my XTOOL D8 for around 5 months now and that thing gets more updates than CNN. And it has never failed me. Some Chinese products are terrible, but this isn't one. REAL MECHANICS SWEAR BY IT
@@rauldm6497 No not at all. I've only used it for Lexus, Toyota, Chevy, and Ford though. But yeah once again NO PROBLEMS. And the oldest of those vehicles is 02 gs300 it performs actuation test ( where the car ecm allows ).

Hi. Can you compare this with AUTEL mp808bt or ms906bt ? What are the main differences? They look exactly the same in terms of functions, live data, bidirectional commands, etc.
It is a good tool for the money, but will vary greatly depending on the vehicle you are using it on. First vehicle I tried it on was an 03 GMC 2500, pretty dissatisfied with what I could do. Hooked up on my 03 Ford F 150, it was way better, much more things accessible. On my 2016 Grand Caravan, lots of things accessible, HOWEVER, don’t be misled with what comes up on the menu as many things will not work. For example on the Caravan, a square was there for TPMS, modules for all the doors and they all came up not supported. The thing is, most will tell you none of them are perfect, so the D8 may be as good as any. I have a Launch x431 pros v + on the way, we will see how it compares. It is a bit more money, but 9.0 OS instead of the Xtool 5.1.1, that alone should be noticable.
you havr to remmeber my firend as an auto tech i found and realized all it does it talk to and have the ecu on thje vehicle do the work an gmc may not have that muhc as the ford that you can control people dont realize that all it does is talk to the engine control uniot and connected modules etc it doesent do more then that
Does the D8 have the ability to Resync camshaft sensor for a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche? Also, can you read individual voltage on traction battery cells for 2010 Lexus RX 450h?
My general consensus on the scan tool is that it will identify right up to 2022 models that other scan tools may or may not do, the question is how accurate is that data??
And you’ll have 3 free years of updates! If you look at some of my other videos on this scan tool (using Toyota and Hyundai vehicles) I’ve done everything from key programming to monitoring transmission fluid temperature with zero issues
Great video. I had one question does this unit bypass the security gateway module? I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU. It has the SGM I want to repeat and notice they have that option in special functions if this can do that that will save me some time and cost. Thanks if you have any answers

Hi Stephen, I have a weird case here, I wonder if your scan tool can solve it. When I bought my 2021 Camry Hybrid I cheaped out and I chose the LE trim, so I got penalized that I cannot read the individual tire pressure out of the dashboard, I have to look it up at the Toyota app through my smartphone! So the car is capable of reading each tire pressure individually and send it to the car computer, but it does not display it on the dashboard. Now, since my free one year trial for Toyota connect ended, which I also been penalized for cheaping out, that my car is not eligible for app remote start nor app car finder, I don't know what's the tire pressure, and I don't want to pay $8 a month to reestablish Toyota connect service just to read the tire pressure. As I mentioned my car is not eligible to get app remote start nor app car finder, so $8 a month will get me just the accident notification, mileage and fuel gauge, which I don't really need. Can your scan tool solve this problem?
XTOOL is no good for new Nissan Pathfinders 2022. Except standard OBD2 scanning features it wont do anything. programming keys doesnt work, resetting immobilizer doesnt work (it ask for 14 pin adapter???) i cant even make the lights to turn on under actuation test. It gives me an error about cable, ignition and strange 14 pin connector (but my car has 16 pin odb connector). Maybe it works for Toyotas, but not well for Nissan, Honda and my Sienna.
hi, i have 2005 toyota crown majesta japan import. its cruise control is maxed at 115 km/hr speed limit, which is equal to 107 actual km/hr on the road. it is annoying that even big semi comes behind me and gives me headlight dipper and change the lane to overtake me, top of that when they are crossing me give strange looks, as if asking " what the -uck". can your D8 Xtool increase the cruise control range if it is restricted or governed at 115 km/hr.
Do not bye the xtool it's junk they sent me a brand new one that had already been returned and re soldered inside and sold it to me for a brand spanking new if you don't believe it go to my RU-vid
