My endgame shape after 15+ mice. Most noticeable when playing shooters. What it needs next is no holes, less weight, NO RGB and an adjustable mouse sensor like the pwnage ambi, would help with marketing the mouse too with a feature like that. Clicks can always be improved. They have the best shape but Xtrfy needs to be aggressive and do better with it. Either way new main for me.
Totally agree with this tbh... Part of the reason I wanted to showcase the 56gram version was to show how easily Xtrfy could achieve this. Really hope they drop a pro version in the future with no holes and a lighter weight because their shapes are absolutely killer!
I love the humour in this video, along with the snappy infomation and no nonsense explinations. I can absolutely see you alongside randomfrankp and brandon taylor in no time, please keep it up so i can see it happen :)
Even mentioning my channel alongside two goats is a huge compliment, glad you enjoyed the review! I try to make it as entertaining as possible so even if you aren't crazy about the product, you've hopefully had a fun few minutes at least. Will keep trying my best to improve and not let you down! 🤜
Can't wait to get this mouse I have it on order! I'll be doing the same weight reduction except the battery because I like my long battery life. Will also be putting grips on the sides because I hate side holes. I currently main the Hati S and Titan GE Air but I've been waiting for the viper mini wireless for ages. This mouse seems like it will hit just right though.
Imagine if the mouse shipped as your post-modded version and with the side holes sealed, and was sold for $85-90 due to the cost savings. It would instantly become the best mouse on the market for many people.
Yeah! Was hoping by showing how much weight could be saved with some basic tweaks that Xtrfy might put out a revised version in the future tbh... No cuts or heavy modding needed, just trim the fat from the mouse and you have a goat!
Godly choice in mods, a man of culture opting for Hyperglides. On a side note, Hyperglide needs to wake up, they have the best feet and they stopped making new models and maintaining stock like 2 years ago.
Yes!!! I have a stockpile of g pro and dot hyperglides so I can add them on all my mice. Hope some people pick up this mouse and do the same because at 56g the shape feels so damn good!
First time viewer here, didn't expect the review to be this good. You have got a new subscriber! One thing tho is the noise gate or whatever you're using, it messed my ears up. I guess you use it to try to remove the room echo? I think it's probably better to leave it off or try to reduce the echo in the room.
Thanks for the support! Not had that feedback before bit will listen back on a few devices and see if I can figure out what's causing it. Have no active gate on so wonder if it's a mic level that's out of whack. Appreciate you letting me know!
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews Could also be some setting that tries to remove backround noise, or some automatic volume matcher. It sounds like it tries to remove the echoes, if you listen you can hear the echo start and then it cuts it out by lowering the volume it sounds like, so the volume seems to go up and down as you speak. Appreciate you not taking it personally, it have happened before. I'm just trying to help :) EDIT: Listening again it might just be the echo that makes it sound like that.
I'm here to make the best product I can for people who take the time to listen so I massively appreciate feedback to make it better 😬 Im moving house shortly and will have an acoustically treated office to record in thankfully!
have one on the way :0 I was torn on getting the wireless cause of the weight but if it ends up being to heavy for my liking I'll definitely follow your steps
Great review, you've really stepped up your reveiew game last few months. Where did you order the smaller battery from, looking to do the same to mine when it arrives.
Thanks for the feedback! Been working hard to try to make better content. I'm going to add the battery to the description because so many people have asked about it 🤣 a.aliexpress.com/_mM8bcQW
I kinda showed how I did it in the last 45 seconds or so of the video, wasn't super detailed but the mods were very basic and easy to do if someone wanted to do it themselves.
And they still refuse to make M4 and M42 in that gorgeous MZ1 smokey shell. Reducing the weight on this mouse looks like a walk in the park. Tho, don't you think putting it right on top of the rgb is a good idea? As the smd's do tend to heat up, you may need a disclaimer to turn off the rgb once and forever before some 13 y/o set themselves on fire. Fantastic review, love to see how much the quality improves with each next video. And i absolutely love how you and on a later stage FrankP both started dropping funny commentary, dad jokes and sarcasm it makes what one would call "a boring computer mouse review" so much more entertaining and engaging.
Yeah good call on the RGB, it was a decent spot for weight balance and as I unclipped the diffuser I assume people weren't going to use the RGB regardless. I really appreciate your feedback (and putting me even in the same sentence as Franky Boy!). I try to start with a script that hits all the main commentary and review beats for the mouse, then think about how I can make each point a bit more fun and engaging for the audience, so I'm really pleased it comes across! Will keep trying to do my best to entertain with the videos! 🫡
I don't have any confirmations but there are some rumours that Xtrfy have a next gen of mice that we'll see pretty soon now all their current mice are wireless. Will be uploading again soon and yeah I'm gonna add some #shorts weight reduction guides
Need the Fnatic bolt in a slightly shorter version and sensor to be placed slightly higher up. If you need some input of the hopefully upcomming mini version hit me up ;)
Hello, is changing the mouse feet with a mouse feet from other mouse (G304 i assume?) gives no drawbacks? im afraid that it would not feel right.. but i really want to change the stock mouse feet
As long as they fit within the same cutout space of the existing skates then there's no negatives. Especially if you can get the same thickness so there's no lift off distance change or tracking interference
Super exciting to see the easy weight reduction. Would you mind letting me know what kind of JST connector the battery you used has? Would it be 3pin 1.25mm?
I've been asked a few times so I might do a YT short on it specifically yeah... it's kind of glossed over at the end of this video and is pretty straight forward though
It's honestly as straight forward as I showed at the end if you use the battery I link in the description it's literally just plug and play. I am getting a lot of asks so I might do a #shorts for simplicity lol
Used one of the spare wheels that came in the HSK+ because I preferred the grey, looked closer to the Viper Ultimate Mercury. For skates I used Hyperglide dots for the Zaunkoenig m1k, they're the lightest around and I use them for consistency on my mice
Great review as always! There is any mouse right now that has a similar shape to the ZA13 that is lighter or even wireless? I refuse to go back to more conservative shapes lol
There's a kind of mini tutorial at the end, basically a lot of weight reduction is made from just swapping to a smaller battery and removing the slider. This is the battery I used fyi: a.aliexpress.com/_mM8bcQW
I'm waiting on the MZ1 wireless...are you gunna review that one too? I love not having to mess with software and the 60-70 gram range is the sweet spot for me. Xtrfy has the MZ1 wireless as 62 grams...the performance mouse game has been crazy over the last couple of years!
Yeah I'm supposed to get that one for review too, probably more excited for it than any other Xtrfy mouse due to the new lower back hump option. Probably won't weight mod if it really is only 62g stock!
I hear you, was more of a "what I did" than "how I did it" but enough people have asked that I'm probably going to break out a short clip of the mod for people to follow
