They also have the same colour scheme (white and black) and it kind of also shows what could have happened to WWX if he had let the amulet control him any longer. It was definitely a warning to those two, and they totally realised it😭😭 God I love this show!!!
I don't like Xue yang's character but he made me cry in his last moment when he held that candy, that's when I realized how cute he is. He just want to receive more love... *and more candies*
that was the original plan.. i suspect we would see a darker hero in mxtx's new novel.. but she did say. she thought of XY and wanted novel around him.. but couldn't come up with a good story to fit that character.. so when she finally started writing FOD, she thought of inserting and forcing in XY into this story
then, you can read Tian Guan Ci Fu ( Heaven Official's Bleesing) ... idk why, but when I read the tgcf novel I can feel XueXiao vibes in there 😭 the CP is Huacheng (as demon king ) and Daozhang Xielian ( as Heaven's official)
The actor who played Xiao Xingchen did so well at delivering the emotions even blindfolded. And the actor who played Xue Yang also did an amazing job!! I never hated the character :') Their story is so sad 😭😭
Exactly watching the show I never knew what to really feel, I was REALLY disgusted by him, well his actions, but I also felt sorry in a way. And I kind of felt happy when he was with xxc and wasn't doing anything bad.
“Hold on I still want you. Come back I still need you...” as xue yang happily gazes at xiao xing chen hoping he would wake up but didnt. He was the cause of his death yet he missed him when he was gone...yi city arc was so tragic and beautiful 😭
It is indeed. I still can't forget the look on xue yang, wether it was the untamed, manhua or donghua. It was heart breaking, their story, although what xue yang did really is despicable.
Of all the pairs in the drama, this one broke me. Event though Xue Yang was horrible I can't fully hate him because sometimes it's difficult to grown out of all the horrors you have grown into. Xiao Xing Chen believed that everything about the person he loved was a lie, that was why he killed himself. And once that happened it was too late to save Xue Yang as well. If only they could express what they truely felt, but I guess even Xue Yang didn't know. I can't help but wish it had gone differently for them. #XueXiao
I cried so hard. It one of their fansong the lyric was 'lips curved into an arrogant smirk. How pitiful it was, without knowing, the villain had fallen in love' and I couldn't stop crying while watching this edit because it was true. The villain did fall in love but at the wrong time
All the dislikes are from Song Lan. Their story is so tragically beautiful. I keep thinking about Xingchen who gave his eyes to Song Lan and kindness to a person who never received it in his entire life. And then he gave up his life because he couldn't take anymore. Xue Yang is a complex character, you can tell why most of the cast wanted to have this part. I mean, he's a psychopath but when Xingchen showed him a piece of kindness.. he was confused and at the same time relieved. But he didn't know how to "give back" that kindness so he did bad things.. even if he didn't want to lose him. What he did to A-Qing was terrible.. that's why I don't forgive him. But I have to admit that his character is "powerful" enough to be remembered.

Just wanna say he's not a psychopath because Psychopaths are devoid of emotion and we could see several times he did have real emotions, mostly anger but at the end sadness and love. He was just really emotionally crippled and vengeful because of his childhood
@@amberkiely8521 Also humor, which was one of the things Xingchen loved about him. Xue Yang was able to be funny without trying too hard and that look on his face when Xingchen said, "I want to laugh every time you talk" was a genuine, emotional response.
You really just can't hate anyone in The Untamed. I love how they say "nothing is black and white" and that's true. Every villain is the hero of their own story and this show is a perfect example. Everyone loves at some time in their lives, and at some point, those who are mistreated and beat down, go on a rampage. They feel belittled and do things wicked and immoral to defend themselves and their dignity. Every villain story is tragic. Give me one example of a villain who you can hate because there isn't one. (Except for Lord Farquaad. He's a hoe.) lol

When xue yang said “dont worry im already used to these injuries.” It was like the scene with wwx and lwj when wwx said that he used to get injured a lot as a kid and so he was used to it. ITS THE SAME SCENE BUT DIFFERENT STORIES!!!
The story about Xue Yang when he was little, was sad. It felt like every time he got close to someone he couldn't trust them. He even enjoyed killing people just for the sake of it, I don't blame him, he wasn't loved as a kid. When Xiao died, he didn't know how to grieve over his death, it was touching because it showed us that Xue Yang cared for him. Xiao Xingchen deserved so much more!!
I still feel sorry for those two. Xingchen didn't deserve all that happened to him, but also Xue Yang had a difficult life that made him into a bad person, he noticed about his mistakes very late and when he realized he wanted to save Xingchen's soul, it was too late
If WeiWuxian could revive XiaoXingCheng, would it have changed XueYang? I mean he must have realised what he did to the only person who treated him good..he kept him for 8 years!! I love XueXiao also Song Lan!
Maybe, but even then he wanted to control XXC. I can recall a line XY said and was something like "...but dead listen/obey". His wish of bringing back XXC was mixed with the desire of having him beside him because he missed him and needed him back to not feel guilty and the desire of having him as a puppet.
That’s also what makes Xue Yang so fascinating. He is, evidently, a result of childhood trauma and abuse, and while he is psychotic, it can be interpreted that he genuinely began to care for Xiao Xingchen. It’s just so interesting how he hates Xiao Xingchen, but in his attempt to deceive him, his enemy became the only one who’s ever shown him true kindness. He stuck around because he liked it. Maybe he believed he liked tricking Xiao Xingchen, but probably a part of him also liked the positive attention. And then when things go wrong, he tries to get back into getting revenge by using Song Lan, but it backfires when Xiao Xingchen commits suicide and ruins his fun. Xue Yang ends up destroying the one who gave him the only trust and love (platonic or not) he’s ever had. No matter, he tells himself in denial, “the dead are more obedient.” He probably doesn’t fully realize it himself, but his reaction to Xiao Xingchen not reviving as a puppet really shows he wants Daozhang back-except he wants the kind, unsuspecting one. The one who liked him for who he was and didn’t know of his backstory enough to condemn him. The one who took care of him and laughed at his jokes and helped him. The one who gave him candy and didn’t question or judge him. The one who didn’t _hate_ him. Which is probably why Xue Yang is so desperate to turn Xiao Xingchen into a controllable, mindless puppet. He might actually even end up hating it later when he realizes Daozhang won’t ever treat him with the same human kindness as before. But when Xiao Xingchen dies, his only thought is to clean Daozhang up and revive him. To try and pretend things are “back to normal.” I do think he cared for Xiao Xingchen, and maybe he could’ve been reformed if his house of cards hadn’t fallen down. But at the same time, he may always have these psychopathic tendencies: the need to control, destroy, and get revenge. It doesn’t justify what he’s done, but I just find him such a fascinating, interesting character-And of course “good character” doesn’t have to equal “good person.”
@@stardust-tt6mk i interpreted it to mean that at that time he wasn't aware how much he had fallen in love with the concept of this family (do you think he could not have found and killed A-ling/blind girl in these 8 years - no, but she is also part of his family dream) ..so when XXC died, XY was SURE that he will be able to resurrect him and the sense of loss had not sunk in although why did he wait for 8 years i don't understand - no one knew that yiling patriach would come back and XY does see WX as his mentor/he is WWX's fan after all :P
@@AC-gz2ks He didn't wait for 8 years. He kept trying for 8 years. To get him back by forging the Amulet, until luckily (or unluckily for him) Wwx returned, and he asked for his help then.
There was fanfic I read where xue yang said, “If there were more people like you, there would be less people like me.” I think this sums up their connection beautifully. Xingchen was completely good and kind. Only someone who has experienced pain like xue yang could fully appreciate that.
For me this is the most Heartbreaking episode in "The Untamed" This is the reason why The Untamed is so popular, coz even the Villains has their own struggles and heartbreaking stories that you cant blame them of who they are..
For once, the moment Xue Yang felt truly happy was when he's with XingChen, He felt the love care that XC gave him. Wish those happy moments would have last longer.
A lot of people will hate me for this but one of my favourites is Xue Yang. I never even hated him. His smile makes my day even though it’s an evil grin and his laugh calms me down. I was sad when he got killed and his right was just in the floor. Their relationship is complicated, I don’t understand it, but that’s why I love it so much. I know a lot of people ship Xiao Xinchen and Song Lan but I ship these two a lot. My favourite moments of them was when they were playing with those straws. It still pains me knowing and remembering their death.
The Xue Yang character was a most challenging role to play as most villain roles are and the young actor Wang Haoxuan played his part so well. Cheers to him!
these three people only have few episodes in the drama . But they won fans’ hearts and their roles are truly remarkable. For me the actors look even better in drama costumes and hair styles than in real life. Xxc soooo sweet. Song Lang so cool.. and xue yang evil but sexy. Probably the sexiest man in the drama
as much as i did think that xue yang was a psychopath and hated him, i felt bad for him in the end. in his own twisted way, i think he did love xiao xingchen.
i really do believe that he had loved xiao xingchen in his own way and he hadn't realised his feelings until xingchen was gone this video really presented those heart wrenching feelings of this pairing, kudos to you :')
This episode of The Untamed seemed to hit me the hardest. I hated Xue Yang but not completely. I believe everyone acts a certain way for a reason in this story. This episode made me feel a bit of sadness for him, he was a complex character that was broken since he was a child, he didn't understand love, "what is love?" The only way he showed love was through his insane, psychotic way because no one ever cared for him like Xingchen did. So when Xingchen killed himself he was confused, why did he leave him if he cared about him so much? Even if Xue Yang was insane he was learning from Xingchen how to care, but when he killed himself it broke him even more, the only person that seemed to care and love him died so what was he supposed to do? The only thing he knew, hatred, carelessness, he threatened to kill the girl if Xiao Xingchen didn't wake up because deep down he really did love him in his own psychotic way. It was very emotional but the story was truly beautiful and well thought out. These charaters hold a special place in my heart, because "what is good? What is evil? What is black? What is white?"
I loved the candy symbolism thrown in. Xue Yang, who was so fascinated with the taste of sugar, to where he had to have it, received his first taste of human sweetness (kindness/care/love) from Xingchen. Someone he wronged so terribly ended up being the walking personification of sugar that he always wanted.
It broke me when Xue Yang was waiting for him to wake up and then it hit him that Xiao Xingchen was actually gone , it was heartbreaking how they went from enemies to friends/lovers and then they departed in tragic ways :(((
I feel like Xue Yang just really wanted someone to love him. Just finished episode 38 and you can see how much he wanted a friend that he stayed with a man considered his enemy for three years, because .... he was happy with him. Is he still vicious, vindictive and murderous? Yes, but he might have been different if he'd been loved as a child. I wasn't expecting this show to throw another curve-ball at me with the emotional stuff, but it's doing it!
It was a beautiful love story with such a tragic and painful ending....I really hope that maybe after death , they can meet and clear their misunderstandings and fall in love all over again...plus on the bright side , this edit is beautiful and so clear in showing their story 😭😭😍🙁😣
I never knew how much I would come to love Xue Yang's character. It was only after all this that I realized how deep everything went. His relationship with Xiao Xingchen and everything. When he was killed, I didn't realize how much of a good character he was until he was gone. Also, on a total other note, Xiao Xingchen is so pretty like how can anyone be that beautiful 😭😭
Xue Yang is a really interesting character. He's one of those few characters that his backstory isn't why you feel sorry for him. One truly starts to pity Xue Yang when he starts crying over Xingchen and we realise this poor child, who had no proper guidance or care in the world, just realised that he caused the end of the one person who will ever love him.
I was NOT expecting myself to almost cry when Xue Yang died. At first I thought he was just the psychotic villain and I honestly didn't care too much about him, but this show really wrote those episode with him and Xiao Xingchen amazingly. When he broke down over Xingchen, I was on the verge of tears. Wish we could see more of these two, this was the most tragic side story In the show tbh 😔

I disliked Xue Yang before we got this story in the drama, where we got some background to why he was like he was. And then he found security in Xiao Xingchen but his old ways got the better of him, making him betray his trust for him and that eventually lead to Xiao Xingchen's suicide and his downfall. Both literally and mentally. The last of his sanity died away with Xiao Xingchen, the one person he truly grew to care for. In his own wicked way, he simply didn't know how to express it and his demons got the better of him. Causing him to lose that one light he had in his life.
i never ever cried in my life, like i did in episode 39 when xue yang was dying remembering xiao xingchen ...that scene was really a heart breaking, for a man like xue yang, i am pretty sure he was over 30 years ... yet never tasted kindness and true love in his life until he met xiao xingchen..
XueYang only learned to love when he had no humanity, no soul left in him... and that's why he could only hurt Xiao Xingcheng, because in his twisted and psychopath way he was loving Xiao Xingcheng.
He is a part of the untamed people who never got the right amount of love or kindness to show them the best way of living. The untamed ones are the ones who stole my heart like Wei Wuxian and Xue Yang.
Even though I don’t ship these two, their story really broke my heart. I remember crying when I read/watched Xiao Xingchen die. At first I didn’t sympathise with Xue Yang, but after watching him die I realised that life had never once been kind to him so he in turn stopped being kind to life, XXC was the first person ever to show him true kindness and XY had no idea how to reciprocate that kindness. Their story was truly tragic. Personally I ship XXC and SL as they had a much better chemistry (in my opinion) and SL’s dedication to XXC was admirable, and vice versa. You could see how “killing” SL impacted on XXC.
I agree XXC and SL had more chemistry. I only ship XXC and SL. I felt heartbroken for XXC, SL and AQ. I hope that they will see each other again. 😭For XY and XXC all I saw was possible friendship if XY wasn't such a psychopath. I feel some pity for XY but I really hated him.😡
Its funny how this edit made me have nostalgic vibes and brought me into the cdrama world. I came across this edit thinking it was about two immortals enemies that hated each other and killed each other in their past life and in the present they become friends and find out the truth about their pass and why they hated each other. Kinda like handsome siblings. But then when i actually watch the drama I found out they were only supporting characters. But because of this edit it brought me into the c and kdrama world and now it became a hobby. Wish I could be able to watch this drama and have the same feeling as I did, when i watch it the first time. But this drama gives me nostalgic vibes and the ost is sooo good. One if not the best ost in cdrama history.

1. Xueyang died without being able to save xingchen 2. Xingchen died thinking its all his fault 3. Songlan lost his friend and teacher 4. Aqing died as a witness while helping wangxian to capture xueyang. Coffin town episodes depress me the most. Every character has their tragic ending and i feel like every of them deserve better than that. :(
Honestly in my opinion they completed each other in the few years they've been together. Xingchen was lonely and blind while Xueyang was lonely and hated. I think that this is exactly the reason why we should give more understanding to other people because all they might need is just a candy a day just like xy :(( and we could change them for the better, let's not make fun and bully others :))

Xiao Xingchen and Xue Yang probably would've fallen in love under different circumstances because the Yi City arc pretty much establishes that they're parallels of Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian. Their love story was meant to be tragic.
This is painful, yi city arc was painful but add this edit + the words the actors left for the yi city quartet... your heart will break. Each actor wished the best for their character and hoped the best for each in their next life. I cried while reading their words and now I cry again because of this beautiful edit. Edit: THAT SCENE OF BOTH LEAVING AT THE END JUST BROKE ME BECAUSE I REMEMBER WHAT WUXIAN SAID ABOUT THOSE TWO IN THAT FINAL SCENE.

The whole series were filled by different, sad stories and pains but what happened to Song Lan, Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen are on different level of pain.

I was sobbing so hard and I still do whenever they cross my mind. Xiao Xingchen deserved so much better. Song Lan lost his best friend/ soulmate. And Xue Yang realized too late that he had fallen in love.
I can't get over how heart-wrenchingly beautiful, complex and tragic their story arc was, one of the reasons I really live The Untamed, the characters and their intricate backgrounds and relations and just the way they portray feelings with just facial expressions and gestures and despite the censjorhsip it still shows the love and the emotions they each hold for each other 😭😭😭
How truly cruel. Nothing in Xue Yangs past can excuse what he did later on and nothing ever will and yet, once he realised that xiao xingcheng wasnt judging him (similar to lxc to jgy tbh) for who he was, because he didnt even know... xue yang just lived that moment and it could have ended well if he didnt harbour his past and well fed growing resentment. Him using xiao xingchen truly was what ruined it all. Not ciao xingchen knowing at the end it was xue yang. But that compassion shown to him and him realizing at the end that he cant even wake xxc from the dead truly did broke him at the end. And it's just.. sad. And there is hardly anything to be done.
Yi City Arc, aside from the main plot, has some of the best episodes. I actually read that the author wanted to create a whole separate book for the Yi City Arc but then included it in the same story as "The Untamed." It would have been great to see more scenes with Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen.
Now imagine thinking someone was your friend (maybe he had feelings for him even) just to find out he made you kill innocent people and then your best friend even. He felt betrayed and broken. No wonder he took his life :( What a sad story..
Xue yang role in the untamed series is very complicated and the actor done it very well that's why every actors in the untamed series wanted to do the role xue yang including xiao Zhan and yibo......
Everyone was always hating on Xue Yang but how can you blame him. He wasn't loved as a kid and finally found someone that genuinely cared for him. When he died Xue Yang didn't know how to grieve. Xue Yang always brightened my day when he would smile or laugh, even though it was a evil grin. I appreciated these two people SO MUCH. Truly one of my favourite characters, their acting was beyond amazing. I will forever remember them. Their love story was tragic but so beautiful..
And the best solution would have been them being three amazing dads to the blind girl Idk its just my opinion because even tho i do not see any connection (be it friendship,romantic feelings or sexual attrection) between xue Yang and song lan (yet, it might have developed over time) But just imagine if they had talked, if somehow song lan wouldnt have been a threat to xue yangs peace he found in xingchen maybe their story wouldnt have ended that tragicly Yeah but as i said thats only my own personal opinion and i do ship both ships sepertly too Um well... thanks for coming to my rant i guess and have a nice day
