I cried a lot when Xiao Xingchen and Xue Yang died 😭😭😭 especially when Xue Yang was dying and thinking about Xiao Xingchen😭😭😭😭 and story of how Xue Yang loved sweets 😭😭😭😭😭
I think in his twisted way Xue Yang was in love with Xiao Xingchen. Even if it seemed for the first time he hates him. Xue Yang didn't really want him to die this way.
He only wanted him to be by his side for a long time as he never experienced this care ever before Just his methods were cruel, xingchen didn't understand how much xueyang cared for him He even went to weiying to help him revive xingchen, only his way of explaining was wrong If only he would have said the truth that he cared for xingchen, maybe weiying would have helped I really cried hard in this scene (it was the first time I cried since the beginning of the drama)

When he realised what he did he knew he messed up his only chance of someone caring and loving him which made me so sad they both deserved a happy ending
The fact that the line was about how he technically is his weakness. (Xxc to xy) and he ended up letting him care for him and ya know just connect to xxc in a way he hasn’t with one before and then xxc dies . That’s why he is devastated when it hits him. He looks at his body and is overcome with guilt and regret and grief. His laughter is stopped and taken away from him. He is alone and the only one to blame is himself. Xue yang is finally hurt by himself. And he always hurts those who hurt him 10x fold. He realized he lost xxc and he deserves it. Damn I’m sad.
For me this is the most devastating part of mdzs. It's just too tragic. Xue Yang never experienced love ever since he was a kid and struggled really hard to survive. When he met Xingchen again who turned blind and took care of him, he finally experienced the feeling of having someone to look over and take care of him which he never had since he was a child. When he died, my system was shattered when they showed that he was keeping the candy that xxc gave him and treasured it. They could've settled peacefully and I think xueyang is already contented with that because he's actually starting to genuinely care for xxc and he even went to buy vegetables because xxc can be easily fooled since he can't see which is kinda far from his character. This part always gets me no matter how many times I reread or rewatch mdzs. It's just so fckin painful.
I also feel like the author by making xingchen blind gave the readers the opportunity to view the other what if side of Xue yang. Giving us a picture of what if xue yang never had the hard life he had been dealt with since young, what if someone had genuingly cared for him without harshly judging him, what if fate had played him a kinder hand would he be this evil? So by xingchen being blind through him we are able to give xue yand a chance to be the other side of him we didnt see because he was never given the opportunity to be, through xingchen we are dont judge him for his past, for whi he was we are able to accept him for who he is today unfortunately tragedy befell sad sad wish he was given the opportunity of redeption that wwx had
Wang Haoxuan ( Xue Yang) can act with his eyes like nobody I've ever seen. I've watched untamed 3 times now, which I recommend at least 2 to get some of those "hmmm" questions answered now I keep goin back and start at ep. 37 to watch his eyes. I think I might need some kinda therapy for this. Try it ,ep. 37 watch his eyes...I know I can't be the only one?! 🤭

Yeah as much as Xue Yang screwed up by getting XXC to kill civilians, in the end he never planned on telling XXC, he just wanted to keep living their life together. If Song Lan hadn't shown up and messed everything up I think everyone would have been fine.

IMO, Xingchen can kill Xue yang if he wants to. He may be blind but he is still a cultivator. Despite this, he still chose not to do so bec I think, despite the paim XY inflicted on Xicheng, he still cannot bring himself to kill XY, because of his unconditional love for him (romantic or brotherly). Instead he held himself responsible for Xue Yang's actions. I think XY knows this.... and that's the reason why he's obsessed in getting him back. He was full of guilt and regrets.

This is rather tragic. Xue Yang is the only one to blame. But I believe he truly felt hard for Xiao XingChen, because in the novel the first few years that he's been with Xxc and A'Qing, he deceived Xxc to kill living corpse and annihilate innocent people, however after that he never deceived Xxc again and only hunt for animals only. At one point he indeed changed his ways for Xxc, if he hadn't been exposed he would've been still living happily in the Coffin Home with Xiao XingChen giving him candies every single day. I felt bad for him.
I feel for XY. He has been through so much. Has suffered the pain of being lonely and discriminated since his childhood and then XXC saves him and he starts caring about him too and when things could have finally turned good for him, the one person whom he admires and loves kills himself right in front of his eyes because of his mistakes. That's tragedy upon tragedy. His character was so ill fated. Just thinking about it makes me sad. For me WW and XY has the saddest story... But let's not forget the fact he massacred plenty of clans. Suddenly am reminded of Yan li, she makes me extra sad too. Everyone makes me sad.
I hate how many people don't take the time to understand Xue Yang. Like MXTX didn't make a 1 dimensional character, Xue Yang has a story that deserves to be understood, which is why I really love the Yi City Arc and love this video!

The only death that made me sad enough to stop my day was Xiao and Xue death. Like, I sit down, take my vodka, and think how little and shitty is life.
They were my favourite couple I guess when xiao xingchen died that's when I realised how much I missed these two screen time and how badly I want to see their scenes together. I don't want to call it love, but maybe obsession, especially on xue yang's side, because if xiao xingchen had eyes definitely there is no way all these would have happened. But xue yang really saw xiao xingchen for who he is in this time they spent together, like his true self thay soft, nurturing and caring self, I mean who will not fall in love with him after seeing that side of him. There was two dialogues from Xue yang which clearly mentioned he wanted to be more close to him maybe as friends (or atleast thought about it) one is where before xiao xingchen's death Yang tells Xiao how he shouldn't have meddled in other people's business and just minded his own. Which it signifies one thing, that is yang didn't have any direct hatred or vengeance on xiao, so he felt that if yang was not against xiao for his justice path, who knows they both would have got well together, why I'm telling this is because all these time xiao didn't know it was yang (the one who killed many people, being blind). Second, is when yang dreams while dying, when he tells he didn't have anyone to give or buy him chocolates everyday but how much he loved chocolates because he is an orphan (that part really made me cry) but xiao gives him chocolate, he keeps then in his bed. (I'M REALLY CRYING WHILE WRITING THIS :'( ) And yang dies holding those chocolates in his hands, making it clear to us how much dear he holds xiao's love and care towards him dying thinking of the only person who loved him. Also why I told it was not love but toxic obsession is because love needs two healthy people coming together as a whole, but here it was all lies and deception from yang's side that xiao didn't even know who the other person is. I mean the truth is yang doesn't know what love is or how to show love, because he was born or raised that way, that's why I felt it was not love, but there was care from yang's side but it was toxic because it was all about control from yang's side, that's why even when xiao dies he doesn't immediately recognise the loss, he just says " Fine dead are more easy than living, Dead are more easy to control than living" I purely feel bad for yang because even when xiao dies he never realised his affection or the bond he developed in this 3 years with xiao. He simply thought he will not miss him, until he saw how he can control the dead body of xiao but can't get the pure genuine love, care and warmth that xiao gave, or the chocolates that he got for him which he always wanted as a child ever again. [ I also think that, as someone who has never been loved by anyone I feel he doesn't know how to love if or express it or what is love] Poor yang, as someone who never received love or care from anyone before, first time ever receiving it from his least expected enemy xiao, and the fact that he never realised or recognised it was love because he was never familiar with any feelings like that before or never got that before and never will ever after xiao's death is so heart breaking, from him to trying to bring xiao back, to get that love and affection back only to realise it's too late.
Xue yang definitely got attached to xingchen or even fell inlove with him, it's a shame that he only realized that when he died. We can't blame him though, he just probably wants someone to take care of him & love him which exactly what xingchen did when they met again. 😕
