Have been trying to locate it, but no luck so far. Checked reg app and has Qld Reg no PWY-292 . Same as when I had it. Would like to speak to owner and hopefully see it again.
Paul Bunyan have you made contact with QLD GT club? So we are on the look out for info about two Dimond White phase 1s PWY-292 (qld-reg) and KJH-770 (vic-reg)
Only one thing to say: WOW ! ! ! ! Blessed are the people who were around to savor these magnificent machines when they were the current model, sitting in Ford dealer's showroom. I was 16 or so when the new XWGT Fords and HK Monaros were released and to see them on the streets in Melbourne was so exciting.
These cars were new in my final year at school. The kids used to talk about them all the time. My first car back in 1973 was a diamond white XW, a bit rare because it was a 302 with 3 on the tree.
Ahh Ive always loved the 351 Windsor over the Cleveland, would absolutely love an XW GT - Maybe I'll get one for my retirement present lol. A lot of people don't realise either that the bonnet intake is for the brake master cylinder!
Lovely car, well driven, nice video. Normally I am not a fan of music with car (I just want to hear the car), but here, very well done with exactly the right track. I attended Macleod High School in 1969/70, and a Mrs. Webb was the canteen manager, and her son Mick (famed Ford engine builder) used to turn up occasionally in an XW GT/HO at lunchtime to see his mum. Always drew a crowd, the schoolboy dream car.
