XXIO Eleven Irons Review 

I am a 73 year old, very high handicapper, with low flexibility. I have been playing a few years with Adams irons. I'm not sure if it's my age or the age of my irons, but I need help. A few players I know have recommended XXIO so I enjoyed your review. I plan on going out to my local Golf Galaxy and try them out. I see that there are XXIO 12 Irons now. Any thoughts on the 12's? I am retired and don't have a lot of money, but for whatever number of years I have left to play, I'd like to finish out playing better than I have been.

Watching this late as looking at the XXIO brand. Great review and enjoyed the fact you are an 'average' golfer, so much better than a pro level striker hitting clubs in a way can't possibly hope to copy.

Smack bang on review. I've got these and everything you said is exactly right. About the distance, par 3's at my home course used to cause me no end of problems as they have small greens with run offs. I just couldn't hold the greens. Not anymore. I club down one or even two clubs and wham! By the way you should try their fairway woods, they are something else! Just under 200 yards with the 7 wood, and i have a driver speed of 90mph. Expensive yes, but wow!

I have a set of Wishon 770CFE's with a thin milled titanium face that only click when you hit them square. I always wondered about XXIO. BTW like the midhandicapper review.

The 7 iron is 28°, which is the same as most current SGI irons. I have the XXIO X irons and 7 iron is 31° and flies passed everyone. Great clubs, too expensive, but phenomenal.

Never heard of this brand but tried a 7 iron today and it felt amazing. I'm a beginner who's looking for new clubs

No need to go with new expensive clubs from XXIO. I have a set of their original irons from 2000 and they rock. They are called XXIO Tour Special (claw undercut) I got a full set 3-S including gap wedge for less than $100. I love all these irons but the A(gap wedge) is my favorite club ever around the green. These irons all have some very special features, way ahead of their time. They have some offset, they have huge heads, they have beveled leading edges. They are super light graphite shafted, but the R flex is quite Stiff, and I like a Stiff shaft. The soles of these irons are very special, quite wide and with low bounces the way I like them. At first I thought the offset was weird but it just works! The balance on these clubs is incredible. I also have a few XXIO drivers, woods, and hybrids. I live in Japan and buy all my clubs used from Yahoo auctions.

I have played the driver and 3 wood for a year. They will work well for swing speeds up to around 100 MPH. Just ordered a set of black forged irons. I did not hear you mention but, the added distance comes from increased club head speed too from lightweight. I picked up 5 MPH on first driver swing compared to my lightweight custom Cobra driver. They are really good clubs if you are willing to spend the money.

Great video. What shaft flex did you use and did it feel compatible with other brand shafts? From a flex perspective. I was told the Japanese shafts were more flexible so if I'm using a regular flex shaft with 85 - 95 speed, I should use a Stiff Japanese shaft. Thank you.

I use the XXIO 9s and feel no need to change them. I think Inbee Park and Ernie Els have used some of this make.

Is it normal to fly an xxio pitching wedge 150 yards, because that’s what’s been happening to me

For a woman who normally uses senior shafts would you recommend men’s or women’s XxIO

My understanding is that Xxio only offers these in graphite shafts. Are they whippy? I was told to go to stiff if I buy Xxio.

Do you use R flex or stiff? I heard that if you are using R flex in USA, then you should use Stiff in Japan, it is true?

Is there a difference between xxio 10, xxio Eleven, and xxio 12 series in your opiion? If so, is it worth the money difference. thanks
