X was a jack of all trades, he was one of the artist who birthed the soundcloud wave of rappers. He'd have fun with his music and try to see how far he can branch out. He'd do lyrical, mumble, singing, rock, spanish once, reggae once, screamo, played many instruments,, etc. I could keep going on and on about how versatile he was and he never hit his peak.
Would love to see more X. While he was surely controversial (deservedly so if you go reading the court documents imo, but that doesn't matter anymore), but damn he was one of those dudes who really just poured all of his emotions into everything he made. Showed a lot of versatility and growth over his short career too. You should check out Infinity (888) ft Joey Bada$$ for a more classic hiphop track, or Everybody Dies in Their Nightmares for some of his most popular slower stuff
X was a great rapper, good job, you should react to Rare pt. 2, it's another boom bap stuff. He was controversial because he was accused of beating his girlfriend, but he didn't. He died in 2018. Most of his music was very interesting, many different genres.
the saddest part is he was just shopping for a motorcycle. as he was leaving a car blocked him in the driveway and 2 guys came out and tried to rob him. he was shot to death in the drivers seat of his car.
This is a rare song from X with this style. Lots of his music is very melodic…it’s hard for me to tell you what songs to listen to i would recommend just listening to 2 of his whole albums the titles are 17 ?
Hey again Staccato, fan from the UK here again! Really enjoyed this one! X was a wonderfully diverse artist and you could do reactions to almost any song and discover something new! I feel as if your taste would mean you’d really enjoy the song infinity (888) ft. Joey Bada$$ but if you wanted to try something a little more challenging and outside the hip hop realm that X wrote maybe try pain = BESTFRIEND! Such a contrast in their genre yet they are both on the same album! Keep it up bud
X was a mumble rapper, a lyricist, a singer (a bit of a troll sometimes), and he played the piano and guitar. Also, he liked to scream a lot. Kinda his thing.
if you want something more experimental try listening to his older stuff and I'd recommend listening to 2 songs cause they're REALLY short, btw almost everything from his discography is not on streaming services so you'll have to listen to the songs on youtube or soundcloud.
If you would like to react to something you may not have heard before, I would recommend listening to the artist Aesthetic Perfection with their song Gods & Gold
If you’d like to get more into x I would recommend rare pt 2, Infinity 888, pab mob, news/ flock, whores on the board, kick in the door, vice city & who the fk is god are all boom bap type songs I think you’d like
