if i had to be real, this comforts me so much. i’m currently experiencing this. have been for months. as a junior in high school, i can go periods of days without eating. avoiding social interaction. having a literal inability to go more then 5 minutes without falling down a path of existential thoughts that tear away at any sort of peace of mind. i see through everything now though. materialism. fleeting pleasures. i can tell what a person wants most in life within a couple minutes of meeting them, and if it falls short of ever giving them ACTUAL contentment and peace, i feel a need to point them in the right direction. i’ve never had anyone do the same for me, but then again if i can’t help myself then who can. but that’s why x so easily speaks to me. i watch this video for example and hear my exact situation being described to me. i hate to be cheesy, but from the bottom of my heart i am 100% confident that music is my only path, writing is the only way for me to get a sigh of relief. x my man, you give me hope. eye is opened. my path is clear. i just hope the peace you felt after such a dark time arrives soon. thank you, may your name eternally echo in the cosmos.

Depression actually does that too you, when I was real depressed I could go 2 days without eating or talking to anyone It helps get you back into a place where you can atleast function in the real world

There’s this retreat in the Middle East where hundreds of people gather together and don’t eat or speak for a week, and only drink water. Supposedly this leads to enlightenment and becoming more in tune with you’re soul and increasing spiritual awareness. I’m guessing x knew about this and wanted to try it himself.

He sounds like a very, very complicated guy. It can't be denied that he did bad things but I think people need to focus on the person as a whole. Not to ignore the bad things but to take in the totality of who he was. He was also very young. I think he had enormous potential as a human and an artist. Really quite an unforgettable character and it's very sad that he died in such a terrible way.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever felt more clarity and closeness to the reality of our emotions and feelings, until I legitimately fasted for a few DAYS and didn’t speak to anyone. It’s a SUPER f*cked up type of loneliness, endless thoughts, etc, but honestly, it gives you some f*cking perspective. At that point, everything you’re feeling is as real as it gets, boys and girls. I seriously encourage people who are struggling to try it out. I had nothing to lose by trying out new methods of coping. It really is an extremely testing time, especially now in 2020. It irritates me every single day how I can’t explain spirituality, or being on different levels with people even much older than myself. Man... Lemme stop right there. Rant over

I have never resonated so much with a title before

I remember I would go through tough episodes of depression and I would just sit there in silence. I didn't eat, didn't sleep, didn't talk it was just silence because my mind was so fucked up and I would always ask myself "why am I feeling this? Is there a way out?" Or I'd just be dueling on thoughts of suicide or just shit in general. It was probably way different for him, maybe he was going through some PTSD shit since he has mentioned his PTSD in songs, it makes some people silent when going through episode but I don't know, it'll remain a mystery.
