This took place before same-sex marriage was legal, and they lived in a little town in Ohio, so of course they did it to mock him! And it didn't have to be everyone either; only 2 or 3 people count the votes, so all they had to do was substitute their own copies of ballots with Kurt's name on them and, boom, Kurt is Prom Queen, which is probably why only a few people laughed. Thank goodness Blaine stepped up like the Prince he is and danced with Kurt.

yeah, it could have totally happened i graduated in '09 and though it wasn't anyone gay that this happened to, they did this to a nerdy girl in my high school just to ~make fun of her~ and it sucked and i felt bad because she was really nice i wasn't there because my boyfriend dumped me on valentines day for some dumb reason which was near prom so i ended up just not going because i was so upset because i already planned going with him (though i went the next year because i wanted at least go to prom before i graduated) but i second that kids could be mean and pull this type of thing in real life and yes, they were doing it to be mean and not to uplift her because people were laughing about it :/

I don't see the logic in equating few people laughing with few people being in on the joke and that it was a stuffed ballot case. For starters Karofski won King but Santana did not win Queen there would be a single ballot form with both King and Queen so why pick Dave - Kurt's known tormenter? I think a case could be made that Kurt wasn't the intended target but Karofski a bully was. The joke may have meant to humiliate him. But this not necessary what I believe. I think the student body saw Kurt in a kilt and decided to make a joke about it. Few laughed because people who make jokes like this are cowards

still midway through the video, but i just wanted to say that Jesse St James gives me life in every episode that he appears. His voice is so good and his presence is just refreshing. His performance on bohemian rhapsody last season lives on my mind to this day.

I told myself I would wait until the end to make any comments but I had to pause it to say I totally agree with you about Friday! It's honestly in my top ten glee songs I love it that much Jesse: he may not be a great person (character) but when Jonathan Groff sings.... I could listen to that man sing the freaking alphabet and would think I was falling in love

This is probably my favorite glee episode! It certainly is one of my favorites for both Sam and Blaine's character. Sam (other than one awful out-of-character comment) is a great character throughout the show!

@@aomemegami8531 What logic is this??? You just made up some fantasy that Artie is taking advantage of Brittany? Whereas Santana literally _was_ taking advantage of Brittany's naivety. Santana literally manipulated and coerced Brittany into cheating on Artie and sleeping with her. So Santana actually did what you think Artie did.
